Chapter 304: Bazel in the IF Route: Bonds
Anno didn't know how long he had slept. He was probably too tired yesterday. He had been busy at the training ground all day and had hardly rested.
No matter how busy she is, she still eats and rests on time. This is a habit that she has developed because of the daily care and encouragement from Bazel and No. 29. Her body is a little weaker than the average person because her body needs more and more energy. She is like a machine that is always not fully charged and consumes a lot of electricity. She also sleeps a little more than normal every day.
When she woke up, it was already dawn, and the sound of the train was still ringing in her ears.
She never imagined that the noise could help her fall asleep.
Even when she's exhausted in an unfamiliar environment, she remains vigilant; if a stranger approaches, she immediately snaps to attention.
There were very few people on the train, so probably no one bothered us.
She stared blankly for a couple of seconds, then suddenly saw a familiar face above her.
She then realized that she was lying in Bazel's arms.
He had his eyes closed, looking as if he were sleeping, but there was obvious fatigue in his eyes and brows, which she hadn't noticed when he came back before.
Bazel never showed any signs of fatigue or injury in front of her.
Over the past few years, he and Number 29 would occasionally take turns going out. She knew that they were now considered wanted criminals in interstellar space, all for her sake.
She knows a lot of things, but she doesn't tell Bazel and the others about them openly.
She desperately wanted to maintain her peaceful life and didn't want to get involved in any more conflicts.
After staring at Bazel's handsome face for a while, Anno reached out to touch his face, but then withdrew his hand for fear of waking him.
He and his second brother have been away for so long this time, they probably haven't had a proper rest.
His face was covered in bluish stubble.
Anno moved slightly in his arms. He held her with his arms raised, maintaining the most comfortable hugging position for her, a position that was very tiring.
Anno tried to quietly get out of his arms, but as soon as she moved, he slowly opened his eyes.
Those heterochromatic eyes held a faint, watery sheen, like a ray of light breaking through the darkness before dawn.
The moment he opened his eyes, they were still a little sleepy, but he woke up the instant he saw that Anno was awake.
"Nono..." His voice was low and a little hoarse, "I'm sorry, it was my fault. Don't be sad, I never thought of letting you leave."
Anno opened his mouth, but didn't know what to say.
She has never been a talkative person, and if she could communicate with them properly, she wouldn't have chosen to leave alone.
She just wanted to process her emotions on her own.
She never had so many emotions before; all she thought about every day was how to fight and how to survive.
If anyone makes her unhappy, she can just draw her sword and shoot.
Things are different now; she has a family now and the deepest bonds with them.
She lowered her eyes, avoiding Bazel's gaze, and nestled in his arms.
After a while, she turned her face to his chest and reached out to hug him.
Bazel was slightly taken aback, tightened his grip on her, buried his head in the crook of her neck, and said "I'm sorry" in a hoarse voice.
Anno said in a muffled voice, "No need to apologize."
She peeked out from Bazel's embrace and placed her hand on his face: "I will make my own choice, you...you don't need to worry."
She knew in her heart that, more than her own worries, Bazel and her second brother were the ones most afraid of her leaving.
"Hey, everyone's awake?"
Number 29 appeared out of nowhere, smiling as she sat down next to them, holding a hot breakfast in her hand.
He pulled down the small table in front of Bazel, put the breakfast on it, reached out to Anno, and hugged her. "Alright, let me hug you now. Your older brother has been hugging you all night."
The tone of his voice sounded somewhat sour.
Number 29 gently pinched her cheek: "Are you still sleepy?"
Anuo hummed in agreement. She glanced at the time displayed on her smart device; it was only 5 a.m. She usually slept until at least 8 or 9 a.m.
Number 29 took the clothes off Bazel's legs and covered her with them: "Want to sleep a little longer?"
Anuo's eyes were fixed on breakfast; she had bought all sorts of delicious food, and the aroma was so strong it was impossible for her to sleep.
I didn't eat much last night, and now my stomach is starting to rumble.
Bazel took out the breakfasts one by one. They were all packed in clean lunch boxes, still steaming, and looked very appealing. They were all staple foods and didn't look like the kind of food you'd find on a train.
Number 29 said, "When the train passed through the station earlier, we had a restaurant deliver it."
He patted Anno's head and said, "Eat and then take a nap."
Seeing Anuo looking up at him, No. 29 gently nuzzled her head with his chin, "We won't say those things anymore. As long as Nuonuo is happy, we'll always be there for you."
After hearing this, Anuo's frustration dissipated considerably.
Deep down, she was afraid that they would choose to leave first.
After a delicious breakfast, Anno nestled in room 29, ready to sleep a little longer. At that moment, the sun had already risen above the horizon, and through the window, Anno could see the boundless blue sea.
Fishing boats were operating on the sea, casting large nets. In the distance, thick clouds met the sea, and the morning sunlight fell on the sea as if it were coated with a layer of shimmering gold dust.
Seeing such a beautiful scene, Anuo's anxiety gradually subsided. She held No. 29's hand, closed her eyes, and whispered, "Don't leave. You have to keep your promise."
Anno felt Bazel's hand cover hers as well, and she heard the two of them say, "Okay."

After the train made a long detour, it returned to the platform where Anno had boarded. She was still asleep when the train arrived. No. 29 and Bazel didn't wake her and carried her home.
After putting her on the bed in the bedroom, the two tidied up the house as usual.
They hadn't been back for a week, but the house was just as usual because they had two housework robots that cleaned the house every day, and they had also prepared everything else for Nono.
Aside from the living room and rest area being cluttered with many models and toys scattered everywhere in the playroom, the rest of the room was neat and tidy.
Nono has always lived a simple life, and although they bought her many beautiful clothes and jewelry that girls would like, she never even glanced at them. She has almost never opened the cabinet in her room that contains various pieces of jewelry.
They prepared clothes for her before they went out, folded them according to the temperature of the next seven days, and put them in the closet. She wore the clothes they had put together, except for the hats, which she would choose herself.
They didn't finish the fruit, cakes, and other food they had prepared for her in the refrigerator. They didn't keep any frozen food for her; they always had Luo Zhou take her out to eat.
One of them tidied up the living room, while the other went to tidy up the game room.
After getting ready, I went to the training ground on the 29th.
Tomorrow is the Summer Tournament, and Luo Zhou's aircraft is not yet fully modified. Luo Zhou has already called to ask An Nuo if he has left yet.
I received the call on the 29th and then went out.
Anuo didn't wake up until almost noon. When she saw the time, she immediately jumped out of bed, hurriedly washed up, and prepared to go out.
Today, we're not just going to modify Luo Zhou's aircraft, but also check the other team members' aircraft.
A7 has been preparing for the Summer Split for a long time, so we can't afford to mess things up with them.
"Erjiu has already gone to help you revise it. Have lunch first, then go."
When Bazel saw that she was about to leave without eating, he pressed her back to the table.
Anuo breathed a sigh of relief when she thought about her second brother. If he hadn't come back, she probably would have had to stay up all night.
She sat there eating her meal while replying to messages from her teammates. They had arrived at the training ground early in the morning for test flights, mainly because she was there to check the aircraft's performance. Since she wasn't there, the teammates had nothing else to do besides flight training.
Bazel combed her messy long hair and tied it into a neat ponytail.
She had always thought long hair was troublesome and wanted to cut it off, but he and Erjiu thought it would be a waste to cut off such beautiful hair, so they took care of it for her every day, and they also dried her hair after she washed it.
She didn't think about cutting her hair since she didn't have to take care of it herself.
