Chapter 417: They were all taken away

Chapter 417: They were all taken away

The spaceship quickly ascended into the air. Mingxiao was still on the top of the spaceship, trying to break it open. However, no matter how powerful he was, he was still made of flesh and blood. The spaceship was incredibly sturdy, and he couldn't break it open from the outside.

Anunu watched as the spaceship was about to leave the atmosphere. Once it entered outer space, Mingxiao would be in danger.

She rushed to the cockpit, trying to open the top of the spaceship, but the spaceship clearly had an identification system that only Zero Nine could pilot; no one outside the system could use it.

Amidst a dazzling array of projected images, a cold hand covered hers, opened the top of the spaceship, and Mingxiao fell into the spaceship from above.

Anunu breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed to the ground.

Ling Jiu reached out and lifted her off the ground, placing her beside him. Seeing her disheveled hair, he paused for a moment on her head before awkwardly smoothing it down.

"Your Highness!"

Mingxiao came to the main cockpit from the back cabin. Anuo, who had regained some of his memories, was afraid that Mingxiao would cause trouble in the spaceship, so he quickly ran to his side and pulled him back.

Anno said to him through the consciousness network: "Mingxiao, this is Caesar's clone, but his consciousness is different from Caesar's. He is very strong. Don't act rashly. He won't hurt us for the time being."

Mingxiao was already suspicious of this clone, and after hearing what Anuo said, he couldn't bring himself to attack him.

If I wasn't 100% certain I could handle him, this is in space, and if the spaceship got damaged, it would be His Highness's fault.

Anno had Mingxiao carry the unconscious Sitar to the back, and the three of them huddled together in a chair, staring at the back of the pilot Zero Nine's head.

Anno and Mingxiao sat side by side, with Sitar lying across their laps. A chair that was fine for sitting was now completely crammed together by the two of them.

But Anuo and Mingxiao both liked this cramped environment where they could feel each other's warmth and breath, which made them feel safe and secure.

The two communicated in the consciousness network, discussing their current situation and future plans.

Mingxiao also learned about what happened tonight from Anuo, and he was terrified. Lingjiu really wanted to kill Caesar. Now he also knew who Axun had told him before, the one who almost killed him and Caesar, was this mechanical clone in front of him.

This clone is too dangerous, not only because of its abilities, but also because it possesses an independent consciousness.

This Caesar sent a chill down Mingxiao's spine; he wasn't even sure if this person was still Caesar.

In the past, all of Caesar's clones were his consciousness, only they lacked the memories of the Zerg. But this clone is different; it has an independent consciousness and even wants to kill the main body.

After watching Anno's fight against Caesar and Sitar in his memories, Mingxiao estimated his chances of winning against him. He should be able to win, but there was one thing: the material that made up this clone's body was very special, and any wounds he caused could heal quickly.

In other words, Mingxiao cannot kill him. Even if he can win at the beginning, it is useless for him to win once or twice if he cannot kill him. In the end, when he is almost exhausted, Lingjiu will kill him.

So, while this clone didn't attack them, he could only wait and see, and think of other ways.

Now that they had flown out of the confined planet's range, he would try to connect to the Skynet in a while. Once connected, they could contact the Zerg.

Mingxiao and Anuo communicated occasionally in the consciousness network, their eyes fixed on the back of Lingjiu's head.

"Your Highness, where is he taking us? My personal terminal still has no signal."

"I don't know. Don't provoke him. Try to calm him down."

"Your Highness, are you injured?"

"No, Sitar is injured."

"How outrageous! How dare they injure His Highness Sitar!"

The two were talking quietly in the consciousness network when Zero Nine suddenly turned around to look at them. Both of them subconsciously leaned back and straightened their bodies, even slowing their breathing.

Zero Nine activated its autopilot and began rummaging through the driver's cab.

Anuo and Mingxiao both watched his movements closely.

After searching for a while, Lingjiu found an old blanket and a package of compressed food. He handed these two items to the two people huddled together, then took off the scarf he was wearing from around his neck and put it on Anunu. He then stood aside, pulled out a few glowing tubes, connected them to his body, and closed his eyes to charge.

Seeing that he had stopped moving, the two of them breathed a sigh of relief.

Mingxiao tore open the food packaging, tasted a small bite first, and only handed it to Anuo after confirming that there was no problem with it.

"Your Highness, this is a kind of compressed food. It tastes very ordinary, but it's filling. You must be hungry after all this tonight. Have some to tide you over."

Anuo took it and shared it with Mingxiao.

She saw that Caesar's clone had searched for so long before finding a bag of food, so she guessed there was no other food. Seeing that he could even recharge himself, she figured that this body of his probably didn't need to eat.

She covered Sitar with a blanket and wrapped her spinal whip around his hands, which could provide some healing. Fortunately, Sitar only had a small piece of his exoskeleton broken, and he was otherwise unharmed. The Zerg's body strength would quickly repair itself.

Anuo leaned against Mingxiao, stared at Lingjiu for a while, and finally couldn't stay awake any longer and fell asleep.
