Synopsis: Ping Yu has an odd birth chart, destined to be haunted by ghosts. She was born with eyes that can see into the Yin and Yang realms.

A Taoist priest warned that she would face a life-or-death crisis at the age of twelve. Coincidentally, her father heard that his nephew had become a disciple of an immortal. Thus, Ping Yu was sent to temporarily stay with them, hoping to avert disaster by simply being in the vicinity and seeking a solution.

Good news: that child is Nezha. Bad news: he's the most mischievous version of his childhood self, and he discovered her ghost-attracting constitution.

And so...

Ping Yu would be walking down the road and get captured to lure lost ghosts. She'd be sleeping in her room and be called awake to summon wild spirits. Even while eating in the hall, she had to be careful to lure greedy ghosts...

She was treated like bait for half a year.

Until one day, Nezha caused a major calamity. He killed a dragon from the East Sea, skinned it, pulled out its tendons, and even used its scales to protect Ping Yu.

Rain fell for three days over Qiantang Pass, with furious waves that swallowed the fishermen. To appease the Dragon King's wrath, he cut out his own bones and flesh, returning them to his parents.

Nezha died, and Ping Yu thought she would never see him again. However, to her surprise, while she was burning offerings for him, remembering their past connection, the boy stood alive and well before the tombstone.

"Lin Ping Yu," Nezha asked through gritted teeth, "Why didn't you accept the scales I gave you?"

Ping Yu: ... Oh, right. I forgot I attract ghosts.

During the period when Nezha was dead, only Ping Yu could see him. He became even more moody, insisting on sleeping in Ping Yu's bed and not allowing her to leave his sight for a single moment during the day.

This troubled Ping Yu, making her lose her appetite and unable to sleep at night. They say the King of Hell is difficult to deal with, and minor demons are even more troublesome—Nezha, with his immense strength but small stature, is hard to classify.

Later, Ping Yu's fated crisis arrived as predicted. To protect her completely, Nezha borrowed the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, forcibly manifesting himself, nearly destroying his soul.

Taiyi Zhenren took him away and housed him in a lotus, nurturing him in the Heavenly Pool. Ping Yu was also saved by the Taoist priest and diligently cultivated immortal techniques.

After this separation, another three years passed.

On the day they reunited in Xiqi, Ping Yu had just reached her coming-of-age ceremony. She had marched with her master and defeated the general of Zhaoge as proof of her loyalty.

At that time, Nezha, who had become a Vanguard Officer, brought her to the door and snatched her handkerchief, keeping it for himself.

Ping Yu: "Today I am coming of age, no longer a child. A handkerchief is a personal item; private exchange might not be appropriate."

Unexpectedly, the Hun Tian Ling suddenly attacked, binding her tightly. Ping Yu struggled in vain, only able to watch as Nezha approached step by step.

"I know that once a woman comes of age, she can discuss marriage. Three years have passed, and while others haven't improved, you've become quite wild."

The strong lotus fragrance made her feel dazed. She could only see a pair of eyes tinged with golden flames, biting her like a beast. The beautiful youth dangled the handkerchief, leaning down towards her, and said with a half-smile:
