After asking this question, Lan Jin glanced at her old companion.
Despite just waking up, she still exuded an air of authority.
"Ah Huo, did you say something harsh to Ann?"
"How could I bear to?"
Qin Huo felt unjustly accused, innocent to the core.
"Little Jin, you’ve started blaming me as soon as you woke up. It truly saddens me."
Lan Jin helplessly remarked, "Stop being petty. You’re already so old."
She then turned her gaze towards Ann, her eyes and voice softening.
"Ann, what’s the matter?"
Qin Sui’an shook her little head and wiped her eyes with the back of her hand.
"Grandmother, Ann didn’t cry."
Her eyes were just slightly reddened, not yet on the verge of tears.
"Good girl, don’t worry about Grandmother. I’m fine," Lan Jin said as she propped herself up from the bed.
"Oh my, my old bones creak with every movement."
"Be careful, please be careful," Qin Huo exclaimed in alarm, quickly assisting her and then calling out from the bedroom, "Dr. Han!"
Upon hearing Qin Huo’s call, Han Ning immediately rushed in from outside.
"Old Sir." Seeing Lan Jin awake, she was taken aback and approached the bedside.
"Old Madam, please don’t rush to get up. Let me take a look."
Lan Jin furrowed her brows slightly.
"What are you looking at? Don’t scare my granddaughter."
Qin Sui’an’s round eyes stared solemnly.
"Grandmother, be good and let the doctor lady examine you."
Han Ning smiled and said, "Old Madam, you can ignore my words, but you should listen to Miss An’an."
Only then did Lan Jin lie back down.
Han Ning quickly conducted a brief examination of her body, her expression transitioning from initial confusion to undisguised astonishment.
After Lan Jin fainted, Han Ning immediately rushed to Bay Villa and had not left Lan Jin’s room until now.
Lan Jin’s emotions were extremely unstable at the time, and Han Ning had been observing and taking care of her for the past few days.
Although there had been a slight improvement, it was not significant.
But now, all of Lan Jin’s indicators were unexpectedly normal, without any signs of just waking up after fainting.
Qin Huo noticed that Dr. Han’s expression was off and his heart suddenly tightened.
Trying to sound calm, he asked, "Dr. Han, how is Little Jin’s condition?"
"Old Sir, to be honest..."
Han Ning’s expression was very serious.
"Old Madam’s health is improved!"
"Really?"
Qin Huo instinctively asked.
If she was healthy, why did Dr. Han’s expression seem so strange?
Lan Jin sat up again, smiling happily.
"I told you, didn’t I? I’m in good health!"
Han Ning took two steps back and earnestly suggested, "If Old Sir is still worried, you can ask Master Yanyi to examine Old Madam again."
She had already checked three times, and the results were the same each time.
But she was also worried that her examination might have been flawed.
If Master Yanyi could recheck, the results would undoubtedly be accurate.
"All right."
Qin Huo didn’t delay when it came to his wife’s health.
Qin Huo escorted Dr. Han downstairs and also called for Qin Yanyi along the way.
Inside the bedroom.
Qin Sui’an didn’t understand medicine.
She reached out her little hand and held her grandmother’s hand.
Grandmother’s hand had a little bit of flesh and a few wrinkles, but it was warm.
In contrast, her mommy’s hand had no flesh, it was very thin and cold, always covered under the blanket, unable to warm up.
"Grandmother, Ann secretly left to see Mommy," Qin Sui’an pressed her little face against her grandmother’s palm.
"I’m sorry, Ann made Grandmother worry."
"Well." Lan Jin’s eyes were filled with tenderness.
"It’s Grandmother’s fault for being so jumpy."
She gently cupped the little one’s face in her hands.
"Ann, don’t sneak away next time. You’re still young, it’s very dangerous."
Qin Sui’an firmly shook her little head.
"Okay! Ann won’t sneak away anymore!"
"That’s right."
Lan Jin ruffled her hair, lifted the blanket, and was about to get out of bed when she heard hurried footsteps outside.
Qin Sui’an also heard it and looked in the direction of the bedroom door.
"Grandfather and Second Brother are here."
As the words fell, Qin Huo and Qin Yanyi entered the bedroom at the same time.
Qin Huo exclaimed, "Oh my," and said, "Little Jin, lie back down and let Yanyi examine you."
"Such a bother. Han Ning already said I’m perfectly healthy," Lan Jin helplessly replied, lying back down.
Qin Yanyi strode forward and asked, "Grandmother, how do you feel? Are you feeling tired?"
"No, I feel quite energetic," Lan Jin replied, gently touching her belly.
"Just a little hungry."
Upon hearing this, Qin Huo hurriedly left with his cane, saying, "I’ll bring the dinner up."
Lan Jin couldn’t help but shout, "Take it easy, let someone else handle it. Don’t worsen your leg injury."
Qin Huo didn’t look back, saying, "I know my limits."
Lan Jin rolled her eyes and looked at Qin Yanyi, asking, "Do you believe your grandfather when he says he knows his limits?"
Qin Yanyi suppressed a smile and replied, "Not really."
Listening to his grandmother’s heartbeat and feeling her pulse, he said, "Grandmother, your heart rate is a bit high right now."
"It’s because of your grandfather’s antics," Lan Jin soothed her chest.
"Come, I’m not upset anymore, listen again."
"All right," Qin Yanyi complied, following her suggestion and checking her pulse once more.
Dr. Han Ning had just briefed him on his grandmother’s basic condition and mentioned something that surprised her.
After a careful examination, Qin Yanyi reached the same conclusion as Dr. Han Ning.
All other tests came back normal, without any abnormalities.
Qin Yanyi didn’t hide anything and directly said, "Grandmother, your health has improved even more."
"I feel the same!"
Lan Jin suddenly sat up, exclaiming, "Just now, I vaguely heard Ann’s voice, and then I woke up. After waking up, I felt a surge of vitality throughout my body!"
Qin Yanyi was startled by her sudden movement, afraid that his grandmother might get too excited.
He quickly added, "Grandmother, although you are healthier now, you still need to be cautious."
Lan Jin happily replied, "I understand, I’ll take it easy."
She then turned her head to Ann with joy and extended her hands, saying, "Ann."
Qin Sui’an immediately obediently leaned over, tilting his little face-up.
"Grandmother, you’re healthy!"
"Yes, your Second Brother also said so. I am very healthy now."
Lan Jin chuckled and embraced the little one, gently comforting, "Ann, you don’t need to blame yourself anymore. It was just a minor ailment I had before, which caused me to faint easily. It has nothing to do with you, Ann."
Qin Sui’an nestled in his grandmother’s embrace, smiling with pursed lips and round eyes.
She knew that her grandmother wanted to put her at ease.
And she also wanted her grandmother to be at ease.
