Chapter 270: The Useless Maserati

He Yan received instructions from the family CEO and promptly informed several young masters of Miss Ann’s expected time of arrival home, allowing them to make arrangements beforehand to ensure they would be home before Miss Ann.

Qin Yanyi had been busy with surgeries recently. During the time when his sister Ann was away, he devoted all his time to the hospital. Upon receiving a call from He Yan, the executive assistant, he immediately scheduled his upcoming tasks to ensure that he wouldn’t delay his patients or miss the opportunity to return home to see Ann.

Qin luzheng and Qin Niexun, on the other hand, returned to Bay Villa a day early, adjusting their schedules to be in the best condition to welcome their sister home.

At the entrance of the castle stood the Qin family, fortunate that the entrance was spacious enough not to feel cramped. Unlike the last time, the Maserati didn’t stop just at the entrance of Bay Villa; it drove directly into Bay Villa towards the direction of the castle.

This time, Ye Rongyuan was driving, with Ye Liyuan in the passenger seat. In the backseat sat Qin Sui’an, Old Mrs. Ye, and Old Mr. Ye. The rest of the Ye family’s bodyguards remained in the other two cars parked at the entrance of Bay Villa and did not accompany them inside.

Ye Rongyuan controlled the steering wheel with one hand, maintaining the car at the lowest speed possible. The dashboard displayed a speed of only 10 km/h, slower than a pedestrian could walk beside them.

If possible, Ye Rongyuan would prefer not to press the accelerator, as the slower they arrived, the longer he could delay parting with little Ann.

Though not the first time visiting Bay Villa, it had been at least three years since their last visit.

"It doesn’t seem to have changed much," Ye Rongyuan commented as he glanced around. The streetlights adorned Bay Villa, shining like stars in the night sky.

Ye Liyuan also looked out the window. In terms of scenery and environment, there was nothing to criticize; after all, this was Bay Villa, truly living up to its name.

Ye Rongyuan drove slowly and steadily all the way, with little Ann Qin Sui’an sleeping almost the entire journey in her child safety seat.

Faintly, little Ann seemed to hear a familiar honking sound.

"Honk, honk~~ Ann cub~~ you’re back~~"

Qin Sui’an’s eyelids twitched lightly. She opened her eyes drowsily, a mist of sleepiness covering her round eyes as she looked around blankly.

Huh—oh—

She slowly blinked her round eyes and recognized that she was in Bay Villa. The corners of her mouth instinctively lifted into a happy smile as she happily blinked her eyes.

"Honk~~ Ann cub~~ I missed you~~"

Ye Rongyuan raised his chin and glanced at the front of the car, then at the rearview mirrors on both sides. "Why do I feel like I hear geese honking?"

"You’re not mistaken." Ye Liyuan pointed to the garden in front of the left. "The sound is coming from over there."

As he spoke, a short, white shadow flapped its wings and ran out of the garden. If one didn’t know better, they would have thought a big white goose was rushing to peck or chase someone.

Ye Rongyuan still had the shadow of the last time he was bitten by a big white goose on his pants, and he asked nervously, "What’s it saying? Is it unwelcoming us?"

Although Ye Liyuan didn’t understand the honking of the big white goose, he could combine the current situation to discern.

Whether they were welcome or not, he didn’t know, but what he could be sure of was, "The big white goose is welcoming Ann."

Ye Rongyuan looked puzzled. "It? Welcoming Ann?"

Just then, a soft, sweet voice came from the back seat, "Yes~ The big white goose misses Ann!"

Ye Liyuan and Ye Rongyuan immediately turned their heads to look at the back seat.

Little Ann, who had slept all the way, woke up. The bright light from the street lamp occasionally shone into the car. Suddenly, the bright light illuminated little Ann’s rosy and cute face. With just one glance, the two brothers smiled simultaneously.

Ye Liyuan asked gently, "Is Ann awake? Did we disturb you?"

"No~" Qin Sui’an shook her little head. "Ann heard the big white goose."

"Did Ann sleep well?" Ye Rongyuan couldn’t help but boast about his driving skills. "Didn’t I drive very steadily?"

Old Mrs. Ye glanced in his direction. "You’re still driving. Pay attention to the road and don’t turn around."

Ye Rongyuan quickly turned back, gripping the steering wheel tightly with both hands. "Oh, Mom, rest assured, the speed of this car is very slow, and we’re inside Bay Villa."

That being said, with little Ann in the car, Ye Rongyuan dared not be distracted and stared earnestly at the road ahead.

After the big white goose ran out of the garden, it originally wanted to rush straight towards the car carrying Ann cub, but then it heard a whistle from the direction of the castle.

"Big white goose! Come here and wait!" Qin Qianyi waved to it. "Don’t run towards the car!"

The big white goose glared at Qin Qianyi with its small beady eyes. "Honk!"

What kind of nonsense was this human speaking? This goose still wanted to live a long life!

It looked at the road the car was driving on and indeed, it was heading towards the castle. It turned its direction and ran to the entrance of the castle, joining the "big team" of the Qin family, waiting for Ann cub.

Qin Qianyi watched the Maserati, which moved at a snail’s pace, approaching them. He couldn’t help but mutter under his breath, "Is the car broken? Why is it driving so slowly!"

He wanted to run over and stop the car directly, bringing Ann back!

"It might be, this car is useless." Qin Yaoyu frowned, pondering whether he should sponsor a new car for the Ye family to replace this slow-moving car.

A few minutes later, the Maserati, which was crawling at an incredibly slow speed, finally parked steadily at the main entrance of the castle.

The Qin brothers wanted to swarm up, but Old Mr. Qin stopped them in advance. "Don’t move! Don’t scare Ann!"

The six brothers could only patiently endure, standing in place, their six pairs of eyes fixed tightly on the rear door of the car.

Without waiting for the car door to open, Qin Haochen stepped forward and waited in front of the rear door of the car.

With a soft click, the car door opened automatically.

The obedient little Ann sat in the child seat, diligently unfastening the seatbelt entangled around her small body. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

As the car door opened, as if sensing something, she raised her little face. In her line of sight was her dad, whom she hadn’t seen for a short while.

She didn’t bother to completely undo the seatbelt. She raised both her little hands and, in her clear, sweet voice, cooed softly, "Daddy~!"

"Ann." Qin Haochen bent down, quickly unfastened the safety belt on little Ann’s body, and then carefully picked her up.

Qin Sui’an hugged her dad’s neck tightly, her small face pressed against his chest, coquettishly murmuring, "Daddy, Ann missed you~"
