As soon as Qin Haochen finished his work, he hurried to his little one’s location—his third son’s law firm.
Besides avoiding curious or shocked gazes in the elevator, Qin Haochen felt the weight of countless stares as he got out of the car.
LZ Palaza was the territory of the Qin family’s third son, but only Qin Lvzheng worked here; other family members had never appeared.
Before long, those shocked by Qin Haochen’s presence found an explanation—he was there because of his precious daughter.
His arrival also dispelled the morning’s absurd rumors in the building—Qin Lvzheng carrying a little girl into work was not a scandalous affair but simply his sister, young lady Qin Sui’an.
When the elevator reached the top floor of the building, Qin Lvzheng’s law firm, the door opened, and Qin Haochen immediately spotted his little one waiting outside. His lips instinctively curled into a smile.
Before the elevator door fully opened, Qin Sui’an eagerly stretched out her little hands, calling out sweetly, "Daddy~"
"Ann." Qin Haochen quickly stepped out, reaching to scoop her up into his arms.
While one person was happily embraced, Qin Lvzheng stood awkwardly with empty arms, unable to take Ann back in front of his dad. He resignedly led the way, saying, "Dad, lunch will be here at noon; let’s sit in my office for a bit."
"Okay." Qin Haochen held his little one and followed slowly behind.
Qin Sui’an hung her small hands around her daddy’s neck, her bright eyes sparkling as she said, "Daddy, Ann ordered a lot of dishes~ Third brother is worried we won’t finish, so he ordered smaller portions~"
Qin Lvzheng hadn’t shared his thoughts with Ann, yet she had picked up on them.
He turned slightly, smiling as he said, "Ann ordered almost thirty dishes; our family can’t finish that."
He had hoped to invite other brothers over for lunch, but there wasn’t a dedicated dining area in the law firm. It would be difficult for them to come just for one meal.
If he had asked his brothers, upon hearing that Ann was there, they would surely have made their way over without hesitation.
Entering his son’s office, Qin Haochen scanned the room before focusing on the floor-to-ceiling windows.
It seemed like they shared a connection, as Qin Sui’an pointed towards the window, saying, "Ann was using the binoculars to look at Daddy from there!"
Following her words, Qin Haochen walked over to the window where the binoculars were placed.
He picked them up with one hand, looking in the direction of his office from Ann’s previous angle, getting a clear view.
Curious, he turned to Qin Lvzheng, asking, "Did you tell Ann about this?"
Qin Lvzheng shrugged lightly, spreading his hands, "Ann discovered it on her own."
He hadn’t even noticed if his dad’s office was visible from here.
Proudly, Qin Sui’an raised her small face, beaming with joy.
Qin Haochen chuckled, putting down the binoculars and gently tapping her little nose, "Ann is amazing."
At exactly noon, the restaurant delivered their staff lunch as scheduled.
An assistant knocked on Attorney Qin’s office door while carrying two large bags.
He Yan went to open the door, and seeing the president inside, he took the bags from the assistant, saying, "I’ll handle it."
Recognizing him as Mr. Qin’s aide, the assistant didn’t refuse, "Sure, Assistant He, be careful."
Once He Yan took the lunch, the assistant thoughtfully closed the office door and returned to his post.
He Yan placed the food from the two large bags on the table, each portion modest, yet it looked like plenty for a satisfying meal.
Qin Haochen glanced at the spread, noting how exquisite the dishes looked; no wonder his little one had been tempted to order so many. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Qin Lvzheng unpacked the utensils and distributed them to Ann and his dad.
The aroma of the delicious food made Qin Sui’an swallow eagerly, "It looks so tasty~"
"Ann made good choices; they’re all the restaurant’s specialties," Qin Lvzheng replied with a smile.
Qin Haochen helped little one settle on the sofa to eat lunch while feeding her.
The restaurant’s chef was skilled, and Qin Sui’an enjoyed every dish without a single disappointment.
Seeing her so pleased, Qin Haochen turned to Qin Lvzheng, asking, "Which restaurant is this?"
Qin Lvzheng had no idea; ordering was handled by his assistant. He had just glanced at the menu and placed the order.
He Yan chimed in at the right moment, "President, it looks like it’s under Bai Corporation."
Qin Lvzheng was slightly surprised, "So it’s Bai’s?"
While savoring her meal, Qin Sui’an listened to their conversation.
Once she swallowed a bite, she curiously asked, "Is it from Bai Zhou’s family company?"
The only Bai she knew was the one she had once fought, Bai Zhou.
"Yeah, it’s from their family company," Qin Haochen said, adding a little meatball to her bowl. "Does Ann remember him?"
"Of course~" Qin Sui’an put down her spoon, making a small fist, "I hit him, and he cried really hard."
