Qin Haochen also remembered how Bai Zhou, that little brat, had bullied his little one, but thankfully she wasn’t one to be easily pushed around and fought back.
Thinking of this, Qin Haochen couldn’t help but pat his little one’s head, softly praising her, "Well done."
Qin Sui’an shyly pursed her lips but still sensibly replied, "Ann doesn’t hit people for no reason; Bai Zhou was the bad one."
Her memory was quite good, especially regarding Bai Zhou’s hurtful words.
He had called her a discarded child; humph, she was anything but that—she had a daddy, a mommy, brothers, uncles, and grandparents who loved her very much.
Even though she didn’t fully understand why she had gotten lost, she knew her family loved her, and she loved them back.
"Whoever bullies you, just hit them back; that’s right. Ann did great, and you should keep doing that in the future," Qin Haochen added, affectionately ruffling her hair.
As a lawyer, Qin Lvzheng should have stopped such behavior, but as Ann’s brother, he could only say, "Dad is right!"
As for whether this would lead to any legal trouble, Qin Lvzheng feared nothing; he would fight for his sister Ann for free for life, ensuring her victories.
After lunch, Qin Haochen played with little one by the floor-to-ceiling windows until she showed signs of sleepiness, then he carried her to Qin Lvzheng’s lounge to lull her to nap.
Qin Sui’an had no trouble sleeping, especially with her daddy beside her, and she quickly dozed off.
Waiting until she was sound asleep, Qin Haochen left Qin Lvzheng’s law firm and returned to the company to continue "working."
A little past five, Qin Lvzheng wrapped up his work and took his sister Ann home.
Looking at Ann sitting obediently in her car seat, Qin Lvzheng felt a twinge of guilt; he was supposed to take her out for a day of fun, but instead, she had spent the whole day at work with him. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Qin Sui’an reached for her third brother’s arm, saying, "Third brother, Ann is really happy~"
She didn’t find accompanying him to work boring at all; with the big white goose keeping her company, she was quite entertained.
Qin Lvzheng smiled slightly, "Next time, I’ll take Ann out to play."
"Okay~" Qin Sui’an replied cheerfully, her eyes sparkling with joy.
A few minutes later, the car turned onto the main road leading to Bay Villa.
Qin Lvzheng glanced ahead, about to look away when he suddenly paused, studying the scene before him.
At the entrance of Bay Villa, a silver Maserati was parked.
Qin Lvzheng furrowed his brows in confusion.
As far as he knew, no one in their family drove a silver Maserati.
When he thought of Maseratis, he recalled their grandparents.
Old Mrs. Ye and Old Mr. Ye often used a Maserati, but it wasn’t the sporty model he was seeing now.
The Maserati seemed to have been there for a while, as if waiting for something, not hurrying to enter Bay Villa.
From her seat, Qin Sui’an couldn’t see much and stretched her little neck curiously, asking, "Third brother, is someone coming?"
"Yeah, but I can’t tell who it is yet," Qin Lvzheng replied.
As the car came to a stop, Qin Lvzheng unbuckled Ann’s seatbelt and carried her out.
At almost the same moment, the driver’s door of the Maserati opened, and a tall figure stepped out, joyfully calling out, "Ann."
