The Last Hope
After the black-robed man disappeared, the whole room seemed to be shrouded in an even thicker darkness. The fear and helplessness that penetrated deep into their bones made it almost impossible for them to breathe.
"Lin Yu, can we really find a way out? I feel like we're in a hopeless situation." Suna's voice was tinged with tears, her body trembling like a dead leaf in the cold wind. Her eyes were filled with despair and fear, and tears flowed uncontrollably down her cheeks, flickering faintly in the darkness.
Lin Yu held Suna's hand tightly, trying to give her some warmth and strength. He could feel the icy coldness of her hand, a chill that seemed to penetrate his soul. "Suna, don't lose heart. We can do this. What the man in black said may not be true. We can't give up just like that." Lin Yu's voice was firm, but his heart was filled with fear and anxiety. He didn't know what awaited them, but he knew he had to give Suna hope.
They began to search for an exit in this terrifying room. The flashlight was so dim in the darkness that it seemed as if it would be swallowed by the darkness at any moment. The strange statues loomed on the edge of the light, as if ready to pounce on them at any moment and laugh at their futility.
Suddenly, Lin Yu discovered some strange symbols on a wall. These symbols exuded a mysterious and ancient atmosphere. "Suna, look, maybe this is a clue." Lin Yu's voice was filled with excitement, as if he had grabbed a life-saving straw in this endless darkness.
Suna trembled as she came closer. Her eyes fell on the symbols, filled with confusion and bewilderment. "But we don't understand what these symbols mean at all." Her voice was filled with helplessness and despair.
Lin Yu frowned, carefully observing the symbols, trying to find some pattern. "Maybe we can recall the clues we encountered before and find some connections." His mind was working rapidly, trying to recall every detail of their time in the forest.
Just as they were racking their brains, a violent tremor suddenly erupted in the room. The ground began to shake, and the walls creaked eerily. Debris fell from overhead, crashing down around them and kicking up a cloud of dust.
"Oh no, this place might collapse!" Lin Yu shouted, his voice drowned out by the vibrations and the sound of falling rocks.
Su Na screamed in fear, "Lin Yu, what should we do?"
Lin Yu pulled Su Na up and said, "Don't be afraid, let's run!"
They desperately ran in one direction, the ground beneath their feet shaking constantly, making their steps stagger. In the darkness, they didn't know where they were running, they just ran blindly, hoping to find a safe place.
As Lin Yu ran, his mind raced back to their experiences along the way. The terrifying shadows, the gigantic monster, the eerie forest, and the black-robed figure that had just vanished—each image sent a chill down his spine. But he remembered Suna's smile and trusting eyes even more vividly. He vowed to himself, no matter what, to protect her and find a way to lift the curse.
"Lin Yu, I can't run anymore." Su Na's voice was full of fatigue and despair.
Lin Yu looked back at Suna, "Hold on a little longer, Suna, we will definitely find a way out."
They continued to run forward, the vibrations around them became stronger and stronger, and stones on the walls kept falling, as if the whole world was about to collapse.
Suddenly, Lin Yu saw a faint light ahead. "Suna, look, there seems to be an exit ahead!"
Suna raised her head, a glimmer of hope in her eyes.
They ran towards the light, and the closer they got, the brighter it became.
Finally, they found a passage hidden in a corner. The entrance of the passage was filled with a damp smell, but for them, this was their only hope.
"Let's rush in without any hesitation." Lin Yu pulled Su Na and rushed into the passage.
The passage was filled with darkness and uncertainty, but their steps did not stop. They did not know where this passage would lead to, but their hearts were filled with the desire to survive and the expectation for the future...
