Chapter 27 'Stealing a Person' Successfully
After Captain Zhao finished speaking, he left quickly.
The commander of the third company, Wu Changlin, and the commander of the first company, Liu Zhigang, immediately responded loudly, "Got it! We will complete the mission!"
Doctor Yang quickly whispered a warning, "Hey, my dears, this is a hospital, keep your voice down. You're afraid others won't know what you're up to, right? Stop yelling and leave."
As soon as Doctor Yang finished speaking, the two men had already run away.
None of these guys were listening seriously. They were all so anxious and impatient. It really was good to be young. Doctor Yang hurriedly trotted to catch up.
Wu Changlin and Liu Zhi had just arrived at the door of the emergency room when Doctor Yang also arrived, panting.
He supported himself on his knees, took a deep breath, and told the two men to stay calm while he went to call the doctor out of the clinic.
The two looked at each other and nodded in agreement.
Doctor Yang straightened his white coat, put on his mask, and entered the emergency room through the back door. He saw several doctors already prepared and on standby, ready to operate at any moment.
He walked in with a normal expression and said to the surgeon, Dr. Jiang, "Dr. Jiang, Captain Zhao has some questions about the operation and would like to ask you now. How about you come over now?"
The female doctor called Dr. Jiang was in her forties and looked serious and impatient.
"Healing and saving lives is a doctor's profession. Why is a soldier like him getting involved? What's the point of asking? We've already had the hospital's leading surgeon examine it and taken X-rays. I agree with them and believe Captain Qian's injury can be cured, but there's over a 90% chance of residual effects. We have historical data to support our assumptions. So, no matter how sorry he is, there's no way we can restore his arm. We can only save his life. The rest depends on his luck."
Doctor Yang pursed his lips, then put on a smile. "Yes, yes, you've been a doctor in our hospital for over a decade, so you definitely have the ability to make that judgment. But he's the head of the regiment after all, so just give him some respect and go meet him. Maybe there's something important he can tell you."
Dr. Jiang still refused, so Military Doctor Yang quickly added, "I understand Captain Zhao is referring to Captain Qian's father. As the doctor who examined him, I believe you, the doctor who examined him, are the most authoritative to answer the question."
Jiang Sulan was about to refuse, but when she heard it was that person's call, she immediately changed her expression and said, "Okay, I'll go, but don't take up too much of my time. The patient is still waiting. Delaying for too long will not be conducive to treatment."
Then he left with his group of assistants.
Doctor Yang breathed a sigh of relief, finally getting rid of this difficult person. In fact, if someone else had performed the surgery, there might have been a 10% chance of recovery. But if it was Doctor Jiang, Doctor Yang sighed and was unable to comment.
They had originally wanted to find a way to get the assistants out, but Dr. Jiang was particular about appearances, so once she left, her assistants had to follow. This saved them a lot of trouble.
He did not dare to delay and immediately called Wu Changlin and Liu Zhigang in and pushed the bed away.
In order to prevent being discovered, he covered his face so that no one could see who was lying on the bed.
Doctor Yang also followed along, "I have some leave after returning from my mission, I'll go with you guys so I can take care of you."
The three of them avoided crowded places and soon arrived at the parking lot behind the hospital, where they met Gu Zhenbei who came in from the back door.
Several people stared at each other, and time seemed to stop for two seconds.
Gu Zhenbei looked at the person on the bed and asked, "Why are you here if you don't want to stay with the battalion commander?"
Wu Changlin said, "You're helping others, right, Doctor Yang? You're so enthusiastic! I can't help it!"
As he said this, he planned to walk around him and leave.
Gu Zhenbei frowned slightly, feeling something was wrong. Wu Changlin had been disliking him for a long time, always trying to tease him whenever they met. This time, not only did he answer the questions properly, he didn't tease him either. Something must be wrong when things aren't working right. There's definitely something wrong with them!
Thinking of this, he quickly stepped forward and stopped several people, "Who is pushing the bed? What are you doing in the backyard of the hospital?"
The inpatient department is just in the direction of the backyard
"Go to the inpatient department." Doctor Yang replied.
"We have other things to do. Why don't you go and guard your battalion commander first."
Doctor Yang is not really good at lying, and he is sweating profusely now.
Gu Zhenbei stood in front of them without moving, "You are lying! Who is in there? Did you do something against the rules?"
Old Liu endured it again and again, but he was really irritated by this bastard and his temper suddenly flared up. "Fuck it, you still have the nerve to ask who it was? If it wasn't you, you bastard, with Captain Qian's skills, how could he have been injured so badly? Why would we go to such lengths to find a doctor? You still have the nerve to ask, you bastard!"
Wu Changlin was so anxious that he wanted to curse, but he knew that now was not the time to curse, so he quickly stopped Lao Liu from making any more noise to prevent attracting more attention, otherwise he would not be able to leave.
"Old Liu, get down to business first!"
Old Liu also knew what was important and what was not. Even if he was angry, he had to hold it in. He pouted at him and threatened, "I'll settle the score with you when I get back!"
Gu Zhenbei was also very angry when he was scolded. It was not his fault that the mission was exposed this time. Instead of looking for trouble with the culprit, they blamed him here. Gu Zhenbei felt very uncomfortable.
But he usually doesn't show his emotions, and he always thinks about things in his mind.
Based on what Old Liu said, it can be inferred that the person lying on the bed is Qian Jingsheng. However, Qian Jingsheng should be receiving treatment in the emergency room now, and they hurriedly and secretly transported him to another place for medical treatment. There is only one possibility.
That is, it cannot be cured here, or to be more precise, the military hospital can save lives but there may be sequelae that will affect Qian Jingsheng's future career.
Thousands of thoughts came together, and he didn't know what was going on in his mind.
Subconsciously, I felt that I should stop them.
"You did this without reporting it in advance, which is against the rules!"
"Don't pay attention to him, saving lives is the most important thing." As they spoke, they pushed the bed to the side of the ambulance and carefully lifted the person up on a stretcher.
"If you still have some conscience, just pretend you haven't met us, so as not to affect Captain Gu's promotion. But if you are a black-hearted person and don't wish the best for Battalion Commander Qian, then just go ahead and report us. Oh, I forgot, I shouldn't call you Captain Gu now, but Deputy Captain Gu. I don't know when the demotion notice will come down. I'll change my words in advance to adapt to the situation." Wu Changlin retorted.
Gu Zhenbei frowned, watching them leave. He didn't say anything to stop them. It wasn't that he didn't want to, but no matter how powerful he was, he couldn't beat two of them alone. The word "deputy" seemed to mock his overestimation of his abilities. Why did everyone on this mission receive military merit? He was the one being demoted, and he refused to accept it.
There was no way he would let them go like that!
He quickly found his phone and called the group leader's office several times, but he hung up quickly after the call went unanswered. Reporting directly to a higher level was forbidden, so if he couldn't find the group leader, everything would fall apart.
The reason for doing this was because he could feel that Captain Zhao valued and favored Qian Jingsheng. After hanging up the phone, he strode away.
After doing everything, he felt a little choked in his heart, but Gu Zhenbei found the meaning of insisting on doing so: he was just following the army discipline, and it was also for the sake of the other two comrades. He couldn't watch them make the same mistake again and again.
So, he was right.
