Chapter 225 Undersea

Chapter 225 The Seabed

Xiang Yun stayed in the bathroom for an unusually long time. Half an hour passed, and when he smelled himself, he still smelled like barbecue, which he found a little disgusting.

Xu Songning laughed at him for a long time. Just as Xiang Yun was about to take another bath, Xu Songning stopped him in time, saying that if he kept washing, his skin would be scrubbed raw.

After finally coaxing him to sleep, Xu Songning leaned close to him and smelled him, deliberately saying, "Brother Yun, you smell so good. Once you're asleep, I'll eat you up."

"Don't bite me," Xiang Yun threatened without any real threat.

I'll try my best.

When they woke up, Xiang Yun indeed saw a familiar teeth mark on his collarbone.

"Sister Xu, what did you dream about last night?" Xiang Yun took the evidence to find the culprit.

Xu Songning brushed his teeth, glanced at the "evidence," and said, "I can't help it, Brother Yun, you smell too good."

Xiang Yun's face darkened, and he went into the toilet to wash for another half hour before coming out.

They were going deep-sea diving this afternoon. Xu Songning, wearing large sunglasses and a sun-protective shirt, waited at the dock for the speedboat to pick them up.

Two new diving equipment sets were purchased, and Xu Songning and Xiang Yun both wanted to go diving. An instructor explained the precautions for diving to them.

"Before we go underwater, there are a few things I need to explain to you. First, the sea is relatively calm now, which is suitable for diving. If the weather changes or there is a strong current, you must come up immediately. Second, you have PADI diving certifications and can dive to a certain depth. If you feel unwell, immediately signal to your instructor. Third, not all marine life is safe. You must maintain a safe distance from marine life and not get too close to dolphins or whale sharks. If you are sure you can do this, we will prepare to dive."

Xu Songning gave an "OK" sign and followed the female instructor, diving into the sea first.

The seawater submerged my head, and everything in front of me turned deep blue. The waves enveloped my body, and the psychological pressure increased the further down I went.

The male coach and Xiang Yunqian were beside them, and they could only communicate with gestures underwater.

Xu Songning and Xiang Yun adapted very well. After seeing the beautiful creatures in the sea, their unease was dispelled by the beautiful scenery before them.

They made a downward gesture with their fingers, and the four of them continued to descend.

Deep-sea creatures move freely in the flowing water, beautiful corals grow on the rocks, and brightly colored clownfish swim among them.

Xiang Yun suddenly patted Xu Songning on the shoulder and pointed in a direction.

Xu Songning looked over and saw a large sea turtle lying on the rock, swimming slowly. The turtle moved slowly, and even as the group swam up to it, it was still paddling slowly.

The coach made a posing gesture, using the sea turtle as a backdrop, and took a group photo of them.

It's important to know that seeing sea turtles requires luck; not everyone who goes diving will see one.

Xu Songning was somewhat hopeful; would they be able to see dolphins or whale sharks today?

I've seen small hammerhead sharks, but I haven't encountered any large ones yet.

The enormous size of marine life makes them seem unattainable to humans.

Nevertheless, the sensory stimulation is still quite appealing.

People are always fascinated by mysterious and unknown things.

Not far away, several huge black objects swam towards them.

The coach made a dangerous gesture, and everyone became alert, watching the dark figures.

The dark shadows approached from afar; they were dozens of dolphins, each nearly three to five meters long.

For humans, seeing a pod of dolphins at such close range is both awe-inspiring and thrilling.

The coach pulled the two of them to swim further away, deliberately keeping their distance from marine life.

Their agile bodies swam freely in the ocean. As they passed by this group of humans, the last dolphin in the pod curiously swam over and tried to nudge the humans with its head.

Xu Songning dared not imagine what would happen if a dolphin rammed into her; would she be flipped over like a cat, spinning and tumbling underwater?

However, the dolphin seemed to understand that the human was much smaller than itself, and instead of dangerously probing, it circled her twice.

Xu Songning watched the stray dolphin leave without ever reaching out to touch it.

Dolphins and whale sharks are both highly intelligent creatures. Marine life should be wary of humans, and humans should not indiscriminately extend friendliness to them.

The time for the deep dive was almost up. The instructor made a gesture to surface, and the group swam smoothly onto the speedboat.

Xiang Yun reached his hand into the water and pulled Xu Songning up.

Xu Songning sat on the side of the speedboat, took off his diving equipment, and breathed through his nose again, feeling extremely refreshed.

The female instructor praised them, "You are the easiest clients I've ever had, very obedient. I took some videos and photos of you underwater just now, and I'll send them to you when we get back to the diving center."

"Thank you, you are very professional." Xu Songning smiled and gave them a positive review.

"The sun is about to set, and you'll see pink dolphins. After watching the dolphins, we'll head back to shore," the male instructor explained to them.

Xu Songning asked curiously, "Pink dolphin?"

"They are long-beaked dolphins. Their capillaries appear pink under certain light, hence the name 'pink dolphin'." Xiang Yun had done his homework before coming.

The male coach smiled and nodded, "That's right, Mr. Xiang's understanding is very thorough."

"Then I'll have to take a good look around, take lots of videos, and send them to my mom so she can see that I've been to all the places she's been." Xu Songning said with a smile.

The two sat quietly at the bow of the boat, where the setting sun met the water in the distance, casting a large expanse of afterglow that dyed the water golden.

Rays and manta rays swam past their feet; the two types of fish looked so alike that it was almost impossible to tell them apart.

As Xu Songning bent down to stroke the water's surface, a dolphin leaped out of the water, its pink skin appearing in the brilliant light.

"Hey! Look, a pink dolphin!" the coach shouted.

Xu Songning looked up and saw dolphins leaping out of the water in the distance, their round bodies exuding a smooth beauty, their pink skin tinged with a romantic aura.

"What a nice view."

The phone recordings could not compare to the awe-inspiring sight of the dolphins in person. As they returned, Xu Songning still fondly recalled the adorable dolphins.

Sorry, giant pandas and beluga whales, the title of "cuteness queen" will have to temporarily change to another animal.

Back at the diving center, they changed their clothes, took a thorough shower, and were left with only a faint smell of seawater. The aroma of barbecue that Xiang Yun had been using had finally dissipated.

"Want to come back tomorrow?" Xiang Yun noticed her lingering interest in the dolphins.

Xu Songning shook his head with a smile, "The first time I watched it, I was already shocked enough. Watching it a second time just didn't quite meet my expectations."

"So, Sister Xu is someone who gets bored easily?" Xiang Yun pulled her into his arms and rested his chin on her shoulder.

Xu Songning was exhausted today and just wanted to get back to the hotel to rest and comfort Yun Ge.

She replied seriously, "How could that be? As long as you keep things fresh every day, they'll never expire."
