Moonlight Silver Needle

Moonlight Silver Needle

Chapter 24: Silver Needle Under the Moon

Shen Qingci's perspective

After agreeing to start over with Gu Yanchen, Shen Qingci felt both nervous and sweet.

They didn't have the passionate, heady romance of a couple in love, but rather, like a steady stream of water, they slowly regained their past understanding and warmth. Gu Yanchen still came to the teahouse every day to help, but now, there were more little gestures between them, like those between lovers—he would secretly touch her hand when he passed her tea, and she would quietly prepare snacks for him while he was busy.

It was Chinese Valentine's Day. After the teahouse closed, Gu Yanchen said to Shen Qingci, "Qingci, the moonlight is beautiful tonight. I'll take you somewhere."

Shen Qingci was a little curious, but still nodded.

Gu Yanchen drove her to a small hill on the edge of the city. There was a small observation deck on the hill, overlooking the night view of the entire city.

He took out a picnic basket from the car, which contained tea sets, tea leaves, and some exquisite snacks. "I know you like quiet, so I brought you here specially."

Shen Qingci looked at him, her heart warmed. She had never expected that Gu Yanchen, who was never good at romance, would prepare such a surprise for her.

Gu Yanchen expertly arranged the tea set on the stone table and brewed a pot of Baihao Yinzhen tea. Moonlight shone on the tea, making it clear and transparent, with a faint silver glow.

"Try it. This is the new tea I asked my friend to bring from the white tea hometown of Fujian." Gu Yanchen handed her a cup.

Shen Qingci took the teacup and took a sip. The tea was fresh, sweet, and mellow, with a hint of orchid fragrance that lingered in his mouth for a long time.

"It tastes great." She exclaimed sincerely.

The two sat on the observation deck, sipping tea while looking at the lights of thousands of houses in the distance. The moonlight gently sprinkled on them, creating a romantic and peaceful atmosphere.

"Qingci," Gu Yanchen suddenly said, "I know I've done a lot of things that have hurt you in the past. I can't promise that I won't make mistakes again, but I promise you that no matter what problems I encounter in the future, I will communicate with you immediately and will never impose my ideas on you again."

Shen Qingci looked at his serious eyes, and her heart was filled with emotion. "Yan Chen, I believe you. We are no longer the same as before. Let's walk the road ahead together."

Gu Yanchen held her hand tightly. "Okay, let's go together."

That night, they chatted about many things, from memories of the past to aspirations for the future. Gu Yanchen stopped talking about grand business plans and instead planned the future of the teahouse with her. He said that after he finished his current project, he would accompany her on a trip around the country to search for high-quality tea. She said she wanted to open a small ancient book restoration corner in the teahouse to let more people understand this traditional craft.

Under the moonlight, the aroma of Baihao Yinzhen permeated the air and also permeated their hearts. Shen Qingci knew that their feelings, like this cup of Baihao Yinzhen, had gone through precipitation and tests, becoming clearer and more precious.
