After getting back together with Shen Qingci, Gu Yanchen felt that his life had become more complete and meaningful.
He no longer regarded work as the whole of his life, but learned to balance work and love. He would arrange his time reasonably to ensure that he had enough time to accompany Shen Qingci every day.
That day, Shen Qingci said she wanted to visit Wuyi Mountain, the birthplace of Dahongpao, a place she had always longed to visit. Gu Yanchen immediately dropped his work and accompanied her to Wuyi Mountain.
They spent three days in Wuyi Mountain. Gu Yanchen accompanied Shen Qingci to visit local tea farmers and learn about the cultivation and production process of Dahongpao. They climbed Tianyou Peak together, overlooking the magnificent Danxia landform from the top. They also went rafting on Jiuqu River together, experiencing the beauty of nature.
What excited Shen Qingci most was their visit to the Dahongpao mother trees. Those six mother trees, growing on the cliffs, had weathered hundreds of years of wind and rain and remained lush and green. Standing beneath the mother trees, Shen Qingci's eyes were filled with awe and admiration.
"Yan Chen, look, these are the real mother trees of Da Hong Pao," she said excitedly. "I'm so happy to see them with my own eyes."
Gu Yanchen looked at her happy face and felt satisfied. "As long as you are happy, we can come here often in the future."
The night before leaving Wuyi Mountain, they drank tea in a local teahouse, where the owner, a veteran tea connoisseur, brewed the most authentic Dahongpao for them.
Dahongpao has a rich and lasting aroma, a mellow and smooth taste, and a unique "rocky charm." Gu Yanchen took a sip and felt his whole body and mind enveloped by the rich tea fragrance.
"Qingci," Gu Yanchen looked at Shen Qingci with a gentle yet determined look in his eyes. "This time I came to Wuyi Mountain, I became even more certain of one thing."
"What's the matter?" Shen Qingci asked curiously.
Gu Yanchen held her hand and said seriously, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Qingci, marry me?"
Shen Qingci was stunned for a moment, then a surprised smile appeared on her face. She nodded vigorously, tears streaming down her face: "I do, Yan Chen, I do!"
Gu Yanchen was overjoyed and took out a velvet box from his pocket. Inside was a simple yet dazzling diamond ring. He gently put the diamond ring on Shen Qingci's ring finger and then hugged her tightly.
"Thank you, Qingci, thank you for marrying me."
Shen Qingci leaned in his arms, feeling his warm embrace and strong heartbeat, her heart filled with happiness and peace. She knew that she had finally found the person who could drink tea with her, see the world with her, and spend the rest of her life with her.
This cup of mellow Dahongpao also witnessed the perfection of their love, and foreshadowed that their future would be as deep and lasting as this "rock rhyme".
