Chapter 2 First Meeting

Seeing a man running towards him from a distance, Yancuo recognized him. It was his uncle. He said to his parents, "Sister, brother-in-law, Yancuo is still so young. You don't want her, so I'll take care of her." Then he asked Yancuo to pack her clothes. Yancuo looked at his parents with a relieved expression. He felt extremely desolate inside. Was he really redundant in their eyes?

She finally gave up and followed her uncle to pack up her few clothes, and followed him step by step away from the place where she grew up.

Her uncle was a simple and honest man, and treated her very well. It was her aunt who showed great hostility towards her arrival, but Yancuo didn't care. With parents like that, what else could she hope for? Now that someone was willing to give her a home, she was already very grateful.

Thinking of this, Yan Cuo ran back home, looked at the angry woman, and said softly: "I'm sorry, aunt, I was delayed on the way home from school. I will go back to help you with the work now." A trace of embarrassment flashed across the woman's face, and she didn't scold anymore.

Yancuo helped put away the clothes. Her aunt had already prepared the meal. Yancuo sat down quietly, not saying a word. Her uncle looked at her, picked up some food for her, and asked with concern: "Yancuo, are you adapting to the new school? Can you keep up with the current progress?"

Yan Cuo looked at his uncle and said, "Don't worry, I will work hard to make up for what I missed before." Before, grandma was sick and no one took care of her, so Yan Cuo dropped out of school for a few months. Now he is really unable to keep up. He is not smart, so he can only work harder than others. Yan Cuo thought quietly that he should not let his uncle down again.

My aunt rarely spoke, as if she was thinking about something. After dinner, Yancuo washed the dishes and returned to his own nest.

This is just a small nest of less than ten square meters, but for Yancuo, it is already very good.

Opening the book and looking at the still somewhat unfamiliar content, Yan Cuo thought with extraordinary determination this time: I cannot let my uncle down, I must work hard.

The night grew deeper, with only the light in Yancuo's room still on. Rubbing her aching wrist, Yancuo packed up her books and quietly went to bed. After a frightening day, Yancuo fell asleep quickly. In her dream, she saw her kind grandmother, smiling at her. Yancuo also looked at her grandmother happily, smiling the whole time.
