After the courtyard was planned, the two went to rest. It had been about five hours since the night started, and the daytime was still quite long. Xu Lin wanted to harvest a batch of vegetables before the polar night, so the first thing she did after the house was built was to prepare the vegetable garden.
The next morning, the two started planting vegetables, the first being tomatoes, because Xu Lin loved to eat them both raw and ripe.
Xu Lin bought the seedlings directly, which were easy to plant. She just took them out of her space, planted them in the soil, and watered them thoroughly. In one morning, the two of them planted a row of tomatoes, a row of cucumbers, half a row of eggplants, half a row of peppers, half a row of chives, half a row of melons, and watermelons.
It was already 12 o'clock when I finished watering everything, so I quickly went back inside to eat and rest.
"Hoeing the fields at noon, sweat drips onto the soil." Xu Lin said.

After having lunch and resting for half an hour, the two set off up the mountain, following the path they had previously established.
The wolf cubs came to play with Shuke and Beta. Xu Lin sent four of them ahead to scout out the way and tell them when they saw a water source. She and Zhou Pin then dug up some Chinese medicinal herbs along the way.
As expected, the four birds found a river halfway up the mountain. Xu Lin and Zhou Pin rushed over and discovered that the water was flowing out of a cave, which actually contained a hot spring.
There was water quality testing equipment in the space. Xu Lin filled a bottle with water and put it into the space for testing. Zhou Pin led the four of them to look around the cave. After Xu Lin finished testing, they went into the cave together.
"The water is fine, it's drinkable. But we'll still drink the water from the space; we can just use this water to water the vegetables," Xu Lin said as she emerged from the space.
The cave's outer perimeter was quite spacious. The two people and four others walked into the cave together. Facing them was a hot spring with a temperature of around 40℃, perfect for a soak.
There were two forks in the road inside the cave, and the two chose one to go in. The cave was two meters wide, just enough for two people to walk side by side, and it was very cool inside. Xu Lin had to take out military coats from her spatial storage and put them on with Zhou Pin. The four little ones, covered in fur, didn't feel cold at all.
After walking about ten meters, they came to a large inner room. Xu Lin took out a thermometer, and it was -20°C inside—a true natural freezer.
The two emerged from one cave and entered another, which was much deeper. Xu Lin took out a torch and walked for about a hundred meters until they came to a stone wall. Zhou Pin observed it and concluded that the stone wall was not natural.
Xu Lin took out the explosive device, and Zhou Pin blew open the stone wall. On the other side of the wall was a cave, and they could see light in the distance. Zhou Pin extinguished the torch and led Xu Lin to continue walking.
"It's actually on the other side of the mountain!" Xu Lin was very surprised after walking out of the cave.
Fortunately, we used a small amount of explosives, otherwise we would have definitely alerted the other side.
Knowing that the other side of the cave was the other side of the mountain, the two did not want to go out and contact them. So they returned the way they came, to the place where they had blasted the rocks. They piled the rocks up again and set a trap to prevent the people on the other side from coming directly over.
Back in the cave, Xu Lin was eager to try soaking in the hot springs, something she hadn't had time for before.
Seeing Zhou Pin nod, Xu Lin quickly went to her space to change into her swimsuit. After coming out, she slid into the hot spring. Zhou Pin had already taken the four animals out of the cave, allowing Xu Lin to relax in the hot spring.
Xu Lin observed the area around the hot spring and thought that it would be nice to decorate the poolside like in the movies, and then put a wine glass or something next to it!
