Chapter 68: Settlement of Accounts I Have Always Loved You
Darien looked at Sewell walking towards him and felt as if he had won the game slightly.
The priest was behind the altar, holding a booklet, waiting for Seville to walk up to Darien so they could take their marriage vows.
Normally, the same couple should only get married once in the same church, but because they gave enough and their reasons were legitimate (of course the main reason was that they gave enough), the church was willing to let them get married again.
Seville walked up to Darien and smiled at him, but his expression was not as excited as someone who was getting married for the first time. After all, in his false memory, this was only the second time.
The advantage of marrying the same person twice is that the first time you were so nervous that your heart was pounding and you felt so happy that you almost fainted, so much so that you avoided your lover's face. The second time you can finally relax a little and enjoy your wedding.
Although Darian seemed to just want to end it quickly and run away, there was something special about lovers like him.
I feel like a husband who is expected to die soon, Sewell thought.
It was difficult for Darien to fully immerse himself in his wedding, and he almost skipped the dating part. He didn't admit that yesterday's series of actions could be considered a date, and except for the shopping part, it was all torture.
So when he looked at the happy expression on Seville's face, he really wanted to slap the bouquet in his face in public.
"Darian, are you willing to marry the man in front of you, whether he is poor or rich..." The priest began to read the wedding oath.
"I do." Darien agreed firmly after he finished reading.
Sewell's smile deepened.
"What about you, Seville? Are you willing to marry Darien, whether poor or rich, whether..." The priest turned to Seville and recited almost the same oath again.
"I do," Sevier replied with a smile.
It's obvious which of them wants to get married more.
The priest smiled, closed the booklet in his hand, and said, "Now you can kiss."
Darien glared at the priest, then at Sevier.
Sewell came over and kissed him on the lips with a smile.
Darien resisted the urge to dodge, gritting his teeth to keep the kiss on his soft lips. After Sewell left, he raised his sleeve and wiped his mouth hard.
The sleeves had been starched this morning and ironed straight with an iron. They were rubbed across his lips fiercely, making the pale lips appear to have a fresh blood color.
Delicate and tempting.
Looks more kissable.
Sewell smiled and moved closer, and Darien subconsciously put his hand on his chest to tell him not to come any closer.
"I'm warning you." Darien gritted his teeth.
"We are already a legal couple." Sewell chuckled.
"Let's go, and go outside." Darien forced a smile.
They had not yet completed the wedding. They had to walk out of the church, receive blessings on this short journey, and get into the carriage before it would be over.
Darien wasn't sure if the wedding reception that followed could be considered part of a complete wedding, but his patience was running out.
He took Seville's hand and walked out slowly amid the blessings of relatives and friends on both sides and the scattered white rice grains.
The invited relatives and friends followed behind them, stepping on the rice grains that symbolized happiness, and escorted them to the carriage.
The carriages were facing each other, and when Darien looked up he saw Sevier's face, and Sevier smiled at him.
Darien didn't want to pay attention to him, so he turned his head and looked out the window.
"Do you love me?" Sewell asked suddenly.
"Are you talking nonsense? Of course I don't love you." Darien frowned at him.
"Then is there a possibility that you will fall in love with me?" Sewell asked again.
"I don't know. But I can tell you very clearly that if we stay in this fantasy world, I will hate you more and more." Darien replied.
"Okay." Sewell sighed softly.
The street outside the window suddenly shattered.
Darien's body was also out of control. Suddenly, he seemed to be suspended in the night sky, and then suddenly lost weight and fell.
"Ah!" He sat up with a dizzy feeling of weightlessness!
"Are you awake?" someone in front of me asked in a puzzled voice.
Before Darien could see the person in front of him clearly, he grabbed a cylindrical object at hand and threw it at him without thinking.
There was a muffled sound and a cry of pain, and the person in front of him fell to the ground, covering his head.
Darien's vision finally became clear. He saw that he was holding a brass vase with blood stains on it. In front of him was a man lying on the ground with his head in his hands, groaning, obviously still in the aftermath of pain.
"It's you, right?" Darien was already filled with anger and stepped forward to kick him again.
There were whips and shackles hanging on the wall nearby, and he pulled them down, binding the man up, and putting a silencing spell on him, gluing his lips shut.
Darien's anger subsided a little.
There was a sound of footsteps behind him. He turned around and saw that it was Seville walking towards him.
Darien's anger suddenly rose again. Before Sewell could say anything, he interrupted him: "Come here! Shut up!"
Perhaps feeling guilty, Sewell closed his mouth and walked over and stood still.
Darien sneered and said, "Come closer."
Sewell came a little closer.
Bang!
Darien raised his hand and struck out symmetrically and evenly. His hand hurt, but he finally felt much better.
Sewell had two slap marks on his face and asked in a concerned tone, "Dear Master, did your hands hurt?"
Darien smiled, "Shut up. I didn't ask you to talk. Pick that guy up and let's go find Seren."
Sewell closed his mouth again, lifted the struggling man on the floor onto his shoulders, and followed Darien down the stairs.
Although Darien's mood was much better than before, he was still very unhappy. He really wanted to teach his employer Seren a lesson.
This business is really not worth it.
After leaving Seren's house, a succubus who had just finished whistling at them from the terrace across the street said, "Yo-ho~ You guys are playing pretty wild~ Do you want to come up and play with us~"
Darien looked up and said in a harsh tone, "Get out!"
The succubus laughed and said, "So rough, you're hot, pretty girl!"
Darien narrowed his eyes and thought about what spell to cast on the succubus. He pinched half of the succubus's butt with one hand and pulled him back. Immediately, another blushing humming sound came from the open terrace door.
Succubus are the most shameless species on the entire continent, and Darien realized this once again.
He lifted his leg and walked away quickly, taking Seville to the pink door that Seren had mentioned.
They found a corner and Darien rang the doorbell.
A tall and hot female succubus opened the door. She was Seren's friend Chris.
Seeing them outside the door, the succubus blew out a puff of smoke, raised an eyebrow, turned her head and shouted towards the door: "Seren! Stop eating! Your people are coming to find you!"
Darien said, "Aren't you going to let us in?"
Chris smiled and said, "Do you dare to enter the succubus's home? This is an invitation. Do you want to make love with me?"
Darien said expressionlessly, "Tell Seren to get out of here right now."
Chris yelled into the house again, "Hurry up! Don't be so proud! Be careful or someone will break your tail!"
There was a sound of something heavy falling in the room. A moment later, Seren walked out while putting on her coat. There were several teeth marks on her pierced chest.
"Let's go to my house." Seren said, licking the corner of his broken lips.
Darien nodded and they walked back.
After returning to Seren's house, Darien didn't dare to sit on any chair in the succubus's house, as there might be traces of a war on it. He stood and asked Seren for his reward.
"Our work is done, now it's your turn to pay," Darien said.
"It seems that the process of completing the commission was not pleasant for you. Don't you have any props that can stop the illusion?" Seren asked.
"No. You can give me the soul crystal core now." Darien curled his lips.
"Fortunately, it's not dangerous in there. That damn guy will lose his memory in there, and his mind is full of our mad love. What's worse is that I need to have some real feelings before I can get out... God knows how long I tried to hypnotize myself before I developed some love for food. Who would marry a piece of steak..." Seren complained while searching the house, not noticing Darien's increasingly ugly expression.
"Have you found it? Stop talking nonsense." Darien said sternly.
"I didn't find it. I remember it was here... Your tone doesn't sound very good. Could it be that you fell in love with your servant? But it's not surprising. You both came out..." Seren flipped in the other direction.
"Aren't you out too?" Darien retorted.
"Oh, don't mention it. When I first got out, he knelt down and proposed to me, saying that I had finally fallen in love with him. I quickly jumped out the window and ran away... I found it. Take it. You still sell potions, right? Do you have any that can break love and cause impotence? I want some. If there's one that can cause amnesia, that would be even better." Seren handed over the box he found. "Wow, why do you look so grim?"
Darien didn't want to explain, nor did he bother to. He took the box and said, "Our commission has been completed, and I've received the soul core. The two potions you need will take time to refine. The two bottles together will cost 50 gold coins. I also accept gems. You can come to the store later, or we'll come to you."
Seren looked at him, then at Sewell, who was silent with two slap marks on his face, and suddenly a wicked smile appeared on his face. "Come to me. Just to digress, it looks like you two have broken up. What happened in the illusion? Did you have sex? Relax, having sex is as common as eating and drinking water..."
Darien gave him a sharp look and said, "You'd better shut up now, or I'll give you an impotence drug."
Seren nodded in understanding and really shut up.
Because of his nonsense, the already awkward atmosphere fell to the bottom, and the room was silent with only the muffled sound of the fanatical pursuer struggling on the floor.
Darien strode forward without a word, opened the door and returned to the tower.
"Darian, how are you today?" Leon hanging on the wall greeted as usual.
"Not very good, don't ask." Darien quickly pushed open the door of the shop and went upstairs to the alchemy room.
"Sevier, oh my God, your face, what happened to you, and what happened to Darien?" Leon asked worriedly.
Seville didn't say anything, but shook his head gently, asking him not to ask any more questions.
He hurried after her, leaving Leon frowning in the shop.
Darien returned to the alchemy room and banged the herbal cabinet against its edge, unable to find several ingredients.
Sewell opened the door and came in.
Darien turned his head and glared at him. "Why are you so slow? I can't find the blood sandstone, mermaid seaweed, or green stone flower."
Sewell nodded, walked over silently and rummaged through the cabinet.
Darien was angry, and also felt a little awkward and embarrassed, which he could only hide by throwing a tantrum.
The two potions that Seren wanted were quickly refined from the crucible. They could make people lose their memory for a period of time. Darien prepared two extra bottles, which were enough to make them forget the memory of falling into the illusion.
"Let's go and give Seren the medicine first." Darien said to Sevier.
He was now in a much calmer mood, and even felt a little secretly happy at the thought that he would be able to lose his memory when he came back later.
Escape is shameful but useful.
When they returned to Seren's house, Seren changed the way his fanatical pursuer was tied up, which highlighted his muscles and was very much in line with the aesthetics of a succubus.
"You are here. Here are some gold coins. Why is he not speaking and can't open his mouth? Did you put a curse on him?" Seren asked.
"Yes, if you block your mouth you won't be cursed," said Darien.
"Untie him. I've confiscated his magic wand. I can't give him the medicine since he can't open his mouth," Seren said.
Darien lifted the spell, and they had nothing to do here anymore, so they returned to the tower and went upstairs to the alchemy room.
"Drink it, drink it all. You drink first, I want to watch you finish it." Darien pushed one of the potion bottles over.
"Okay, master." Seville finally spoke, breaking the long silence.
Under Darien's close watch, Xavier uncorked the bottle and swallowed the potion in the bottle, turning the bottle upside down with his mouth open to show Darien that he had drunk it all.
It took a few minutes for the potion to take effect, and Darien drank another potion.
Now they just had to wait for the potion to take effect.
Seville's eyes moved over, probably because he felt that he would soon lose his memory and would forget everything he did now, so he spoke boldly: "Dear master, have you ever loved me?"
Darien no longer wanted to be angry: "Didn't you ask this question a long time ago?"
Sewell shook his head: "I want to hear the answer again."
Darien hesitated and said, "Maybe it's love. I don't understand this feeling..."
Seville nodded, said nothing, just walked over and made a very bold move.
He was asking for a kiss.
Darien hesitated again, he hesitated too much today, and did not refuse firmly, so they had a long kiss.
This was a real kiss, not just a light touch between lips, nor a brief pause, but lips and teeth connected, breathing and heartbeats were all frantic, they truly blended and touched each other.
"I love you. I always have loved you deeply."
