Chapter 89 Tears Why Do You Like Me
Do you agree? No.
The time and place were wrong; even though they were traveling, they were staying in someone else's home with nothing but a bouquet of flowers.
Just refuse it directly.
But when the words came to my lips, they turned into: "I'll think about it again."
"What are you considering?" The door was pushed open and Mrs. Fitch walked in.
Darien nearly bolted out the door, but luckily he didn't, because that was all Mrs. Fitch heard.
"I'm trying to decide whether to go riding today," Darien said calmly.
"Of course we should go. Although the scenery outside is the same, enjoying it on horseback will bring a different kind of joy," said Mrs. Fitch.
"That's true," Sewell agreed.
"Why do you have a bouquet of flowers in your hand? I was wondering why you refused our invitation to ride with us this morning. It turns out you went to pick flowers." Mrs. Fitch asked herself and answered herself with a look of sudden enlightenment.
"Yes, the owner thinks these flowers are beautiful and suitable for decorating the farmhouse where we are staying temporarily." Sewell didn't even need to make up his own excuses. He just followed Mrs. Fitch's words.
"Let's go, put down the flowers, and tell us where to find a horse." Darien didn't want to continue this conversation, he just wanted to leave this place as soon as possible.
"Lianna should be outside. She will give you horses and saddles. I'm so tired. Where is Mrs. Carolla? I want to have tea with her." said Mrs. Fitch.
Darien and Sevier walked out one after another.
I breathed a sigh of relief when the door closed behind me.
Lianna was milking a cow outside the cowshed not far away. She had just started working and the milk bucket had only a shallow bottom.
Darien felt awkward talking to Lianna since they had just met on the windowsill not long ago.
"Good morning! Are you guys going horseback riding?" Liana greeted them cheerfully, unfazed. "I think I should apologize for what happened this morning. I didn't mean to pee on you. It was just that the milk bucket was under the windowsill... Anyway, I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have disturbed you."
Lianna's apology made Darien feel even more embarrassed, as if they had really done something and she had caught them.
"It's okay, we didn't do anything. We want to ride horses, can you take us to choose horses?" He quickly passed the matter over.
"Of course, one silver coin for one horse." Lianna happily quoted the price.
Darien looked at Sevier, who took out his wallet and gave him the money.
Lianna received the money and happily took the milk bucket and small stool to take them to find the horses.
"The sky is clear today, dear master, do you like such a day?" Seville said to Darien.
"It's okay." Darien was a little wary.
Ever since Seville admitted that he had vaguely seduced him, he felt that any of Seville's actions were suspected of being an intentional attempt to seduce him.
"Would you like me to hold your horse?" said Sewell again.
"No, I can ride a horse," Darien refused.
Lianna called two horses to them, one black and one white. After saddled the horses, she grabbed two carrots and handed them to them.
"Here, here, go and bribe them. Horses like carrots. You can also feed them some salt blocks, but most guests can't stand having their hands licked by horses." said Lianna.
"Just carrots," Darien said.
For some reason, when he heard Lianna say that a horse's tongue would lick salt, he thought of Seville.
This morning, Seville's eyes were always on his hands. He wanted to lick the cream on them, right?
Darien immediately felt something was wrong when he looked at Sevier. Sevier looked back and smiled at him.
What a charming smile.
The two horses next to them were very familiar with each other. They stood together and rubbed each other's manes, looking as if they didn't want to pay much attention to them.
Darien took two carrots and casually waved them in front of the two horses. No horse paid any attention to him, but he attracted the attention of the crow.
"Dear master, do you need any help?" said Sewell.
"How can you help? Separate the two horses. They look very close." Darien shook the carrot.
"Please give me a carrot. They will be happy to eat it," said Seville with a smile.
Darien dubiously offered him a carrot.
Sewell took out a handkerchief from his pocket and opened it to reveal tiny pink crystals.
"What is this?" Darien had never seen anything like it.
"Kiss me and I'll tell you," said Sewell.
"Are you looking for a fight?" Darien narrowed his eyes.
He wondered if he had indulged Sevier too much, so that after his secret love was revealed, Sevier became very shameless.
"You won't hit me. Do you like me a little bit?" said Sewell.
"A little bit," Darien said.
To be honest, he felt that Seville's behavior was really overwhelmed. If he didn't respond, he felt that Seville could continue this harassment for hundreds of years.
"I'm very happy." Sewell looked at him, blinked slowly, and a tear fell.
"You, you, you!" Darien was stunned. Tears were really lethal. He was not good at dealing with this kind of situation.
"I'm really happy." Sewell just kept repeating this sentence like a fool.
"Are you okay?" Darien waved his hand in front of his eyes. "What time is it?"
"I love you," said Sewell.
"Wake up!" Darien swung the carrot in his hand and hit Sewell on the head.
A crisp sound is a good start.
The horses that were rubbing their necks against each other opposite them were attracted by the sound and came closer to see what these two strange humans were doing.
"Dear master, my head hurts." Seville finally woke up and reached out to grab the carrot.
"Are you finally clear-headed?" Darien grabbed Carrot's butt tightly and wanted to give him a couple more hits.
"I'm just too happy." Sewell said helplessly.
"You looked stupid just now." Darien finally let go of the carrot, but his face remained alert.
"Let's go feed the horses. They look hungry." Sewell changed the subject.
"So what are these pink particles?" Darien said.
"It's unrefined coarse salt. If you put a little bit of it on carrots, the horses will probably be more willing to eat them," said Sewell.
He handed the salted carrot to Darien, who leaned over and sniffed it, feeling that the salted carrot smelled a bit astringent.
Two horses came over, one in front and one behind, waiting to eat the carrots.
"You have such a weird taste. You like sweet and salty raw carrots." Darien picked one at random and stuffed it into the horse's mouth.
"I heard they also like to eat apples," said Sewell.
"Do they spit out the cores of apples?" Darien asked casually.
"Probably not?" Sevier replied.
They chatted casually, fed the carrots, mounted the horses, and walked forward side by side.
The horse, bribed by carrots, walked steadily and took them for a leisurely stroll around Lianna's house.
Darien had no goal in mind, he didn't know where he wanted to go, he only rode to escape from the people in the house, he was feeling a little depressed.
Sewell looked at him, considered for a moment, and said, "Dear master, am I causing you any trouble?"
When Darien heard this, he said, "No, I'm just confused myself. Why do you like me?"
Sewell said, "I have loved you since I was a crow."
Darien: "Really? Do crows have thoughts?"
Sewell nodded: "I will. I liked you very much at that time. I saw your green eyes at first sight."
Darien said, "Because they look like gems? You are such a shallow crow."
Sewell shook his head. "It's just that the first thing I saw was your eyes. You've forgotten that you once saved a crow."
Darien said, "I don't remember that at all. So that's why you like me?"
Sewell said: "Of course not. There are many other reasons for liking you. You are kind-hearted and a good person. You are always generous and kind most of the time..."
Darien wanted to jump off his horse and run away after hearing Mr. Crow's praise. He felt that the crow was not talking about him, but about some generous and holy god.
"That's enough. I already know it, there's no need to say more." Darien squeezed the reins in his hands so tightly that his fingers turned white.
"Are you shy? But that's just the way you are. As long as you just breathe, anyone can't help but love you." Seville said sincerely.
"You're exaggerating. Don't say that again." The reins in Darien's hands were almost torn to pieces.
"Okay, master." Sewell nodded.
The horses took them for two laps around the pasture. The price of two carrots could only buy the horses a moment of docility. After they had tasted enough of the carrots, they walked back home very uncooperatively.
No wonder Mrs. Fitch and Fitch came back so early. It turns out that these horses can walk home on their own time.
Mrs. Carola warmly invited them to stay for lunch, but Darien didn't want to stay there any longer, so he quickly took the others back to the farmhouse.
When they returned to the road in front of the farmhouse, before they reached the door, Pluto ran out barking to greet them.
Leon is very unreliable, so Pluto is left behind to look after the house. They disappear for an afternoon and an entire night, and Pluto is very worried.
"Thank you for your hard work." Darien squatted down and rubbed the fluffy puppy's head.
Pluto put his little paws up, and Wangwang barked a few times, saying that it was taking good care of the house.
"Where's Leon? Why can't I see him?" Mrs. Fitch got out of the car.
Pluto barked a few times, then shook his hips and took them to see something.
Darien followed, and Sevier followed closely.
Pluto led them all the way to the foot of the stairs, where a ghost was already trapped in a circle of salt, holding its head.
"I finally caught you, you hateful ghost who caused me so much trouble!" Darien stared at the curled up figure fiercely.
