Chapter 80 Is Lu Rang out of his mind?

Shang Wu drove to Dingfeng and asked around, but they didn't know as much as Yan Yue. They all said that Lu Rang had taken leave, but they didn't know when he would be back.

Shang Wu had no choice but to take a taxi to Lu Rang's house again.

She rang the doorbell, but no one answered the door for a long time.

Shang Wu took two steps back, glanced up at the second floor, but didn't see any lights on.

As she turned to leave, she glanced down and noticed an order on the steps by the door.

A milkman has arrived; he delivered milk to Lu Rang this morning.

Shang Wu, holding the order, immediately raised her hand and knocked on the door.

"Lu let me know you're inside, open the door."

There was still no response from inside.

Shang Wu peeked through the crack in the door and could vaguely see a person sitting on the sofa in the living room.

It was vaguely recognizable as Lu Rang.

Lu Rang lowered his head, seemingly exhausted, with his back to her, making it impossible to discern his reaction.

Shang Wu pounded on the door even harder.

"Lu Rang, open the door! What are you doing in there? Don't scare me!"

Seeing that the other party did not react, Shang Wu took out her phone and pretended to call the police.

"Is this the police station? There's something going on here, I've noticed..."

Before she could finish speaking, the door behind her suddenly opened.

Shang Wu turned around and saw Lu Rang's appearance, and stood there stunned in surprise.

The two looked at each other, but neither of them spoke.

After a long while, Shang Wu was dragged inside, and the door slammed shut.

Shang Wu almost stumbled and bumped into Lu Rang.

Lu Rang pulled her away again, staring at her lifelessly, his voice hoarse as he spoke.

Why are you here?

Shang Wu did not answer him, but looked him up and down, her breathing somewhat heavy.

"What happened? Did your enemies come knocking on your door? How did you get into this state?"

Lu Rang's chin and neck were covered in bruises from being beaten.

His knuckles were also injured, as if from clenching his fists too tightly during a fight.

Lu Rang turned his back and did not answer her.

"You should go back first."

"Are you being targeted for revenge? Or has someone bullied you? You can tell me, and I'll help you." Shang Wu persisted in asking, not leaving.

Lu Rang took a deep breath, his back to Shang Wu.

Shang Wu could see that he was trying his best to control his emotions.

"I don't want to talk or see anyone right now. Can you go back?"

After Lu Rang finished speaking, there was no further movement for a long time.

He thought Shang Wu had already left, and just as he turned around, he was suddenly gently embraced by Shang Wu.

Shang Wu just saw a hint of despair hidden in Lu Rang's otherwise dull eyes.

She didn't know what Lu Rang had gone through; in just three days, he seemed like a completely different person.

But everyone has their own difficulties.

Some people want revenge, some want to get rich, and some are still stuck in the pain of the past.

She couldn't help others solve their problems; all she could do was hug Lu Rang and give him a few seconds of support.

Even if it's only for a few seconds.

After a while, Shang Wu stepped back and looked at Lu Rang.

“If you don’t want to talk about it, you don’t have to now. But no matter what happens, you have to pull yourself together, Lu Rang. You have to look forward and keep moving forward.”

Lu Rang didn't reply, but quietly looked at her: "Isn't there anyone at the company helping you with your work?"

Shang Wu was stunned for a moment: "What?"

Lu Rang turned around and went upstairs to his study.

"You've come all this way, there must be some trouble you can't solve. I'll go get the computer and help you with it."

Just as Shang Wu was about to follow, she realized that the entire living room was filled with milk cartons lying all over the place.

There were nearly twenty boxes, and apart from that, there was no trace of food.

Lu Rang has disappeared for the past few days. Could he have been staying home drinking milk like crazy?

In an instant, countless guesses flashed through Shang Wu's mind.

Is Lu Rang out of his mind...?

The kind that flares up regularly.

Shang Wu felt a sudden pang of panic and quickly followed him into the study.

Lu Rang was already sitting at the table, turning on his computer to help her with her work.

Shang Wu was getting anxious, so she went over and grabbed Lu Rang's arm to stop him from pressing the keyboard anymore.

"I don't want you to help me with my work. I'm worried about you. You're acting strangely. What happened? Can you tell me?"

Lu Rang didn't speak, he just sat there quietly, staring at the computer screen with a blank look in his eyes.

He seemed to have fallen into a trap from which he could not extricate himself.

Shang Wu was all too familiar with this situation.

This is the state she was in when her business collapsed, leaving her isolated and helpless, and also facing her brother's imprisonment.

Even when her childhood friend Zhou Yanci offered her a helping hand, she felt as if she were about to be sucked into an unseen abyss at any moment.

Shang Wu has now struggled to climb out of the abyss.

Even with darker and more disgusting revenge to be exacted, she was still fighting tenaciously against fate and dealing with her enemies.

But Lu Rang looks so much like she did three years ago.

Feeling listless and directionless, Shang Wu felt as if she were seeing her former self.

She reached out and unconsciously touched Lu Rang's hair, gently soothing him as if she were comforting her former self.

Shang Wu noticed that Lu Rang's body was not so tense and was slowly relaxing.

Lu Rang looked up at her.

Shang Wu met his gaze silently, a smile appearing on her face, and gently touched the wound on his cheek.

Does it hurt here?

Shang Wu tried to ask in a gentle tone.

Lu Rang's eyes flickered, and he was no longer so gloomy.
