Chapter 30 Clash of Tricks

"We're almost there," Wang Lei said in a low voice, pointing to an iron door. "The basement entrance is inside."

Lu Zhaoming nodded, signaling Wang Lei to stop, while he carefully pushed open the iron gate, his gaze sweeping around in the fleeting light.

The basement walls were covered with various pipes, and an indicator light was flashing on a control panel in the center. A man in a white coat was operating the equipment with his back to them.

"Ghost Doctor, I didn't expect to see you here," Lu Zhaoming said coldly.

Hearing the voice, the Ghost Doctor slowly turned around, a contemptuous smile on his face: "Lu Zhaoming, you still came. Your old friend, the traitor, brought you along too. What a surprise."

"Enough with the nonsense, hand over the control device." Lu Zhaoming's voice was cold and ruthless.

The Ghost Doctor did not answer, but simply pressed a button, and instantly, a wave of eerie blue light spread out from the device.

Su Li quickly took out a pre-prepared potion from her pocket and handed it to Lu Zhaoming and Bai Yu: "Quick, take this!"

Lu Zhaoming took the medicine and quickly swallowed it, feeling a cool sensation instantly spread throughout his body.

His gaze hardened, and a cold smile curled at the corner of his lips: "Ghost Doctor, your tricks won't work on me."

The Ghost Doctor's eyes narrowed; he knew things were going badly.

He quickly manipulated the buttons on the console, attempting to enhance his control.

But Lu Zhaoming had already seen through his intentions. He grabbed a scalpel from the iron table and rushed toward the Ghost Doctor.

"You bastard!" Bai Yu roared and charged forward as well.

Su Li quickly activated the system's resource analysis function to identify the weaknesses in the control device.

"Brother Lu, here!" Su Li pointed to a red button on the control panel. "Pull this button out!"

Lu Zhaoming quickly approached the control panel and punched the red button, which shattered instantly.

Immediately, the entire device trembled violently before collapsing with a deafening explosion.

The lights in the basement went out instantly, leaving only darkness.

"It's a success!" Su Li's voice echoed in the darkness.

“We can’t stay here for too long,” Lu Zhaoming said. “The Scorpion will definitely not let this go, we must leave as soon as possible.”

Wang Lei nodded.

"No need to thank me, we're friends, aren't we?" Lu Zhaoming patted Wang Lei on the shoulder. "Let's go, we still have a lot to do."

The four quickly left the basement and headed towards the base's exit.

Along the way, they carefully avoided possible ambushes, their footsteps echoing in the silent corridor.

Lu Zhaoming's heart was filled with determination.

"Scorpion, your good days are over," Lu Zhaoming thought to himself, a cold smile playing on his lips as he gazed resolutely ahead.
