"Gone?" Upon seeing the butler, Qin Huai'an lay on the chaise lounge, gently rocking back and forth, a handful of melon seeds in his hand, occasionally humming a little tune.
"They're gone."
"Hmph, I thought you were something special." Qin Huai'an's tone was full of smugness.
Although he suffered a setback at school, it didn't mean he would be at a disadvantage against these two kids. When he was in charge of the Qin family, these two weren't even born yet; how dare they challenge him?
Overestimating your abilities!
Qin Huai'an snorted softly and glanced at the file bag in the butler's hand.
What is that?
The butler then realized what was happening and handed the document to Qin Huai'an, saying, "Mr. Tang asked me to give this to you."
"Just a greenhorn, I'd like to see what he can come up with!"
Qin Huai'an didn't take Tang Qi seriously at all, but out of curiosity, he still opened the file bag.
He initially just glanced at it casually, but after realizing what it meant, he immediately sat up, his expression turning serious.
He started reading very slowly, as if afraid of missing something, but he read faster and faster, flipping through the pages with a rustling sound.
When he turned to the last page, Qin Huai'an threw the folder away as if he had found something dirty.
The butler lowered his head, his lips pressed tightly together. Although he didn't know what it was, he could sense Qin Huai'an's anger.
"Did he say anything?" Qin Huai'an's tone was somewhat exasperated, his previous leisurely demeanor gone.
"He just asked me to pass this on to you, and he also said..." The butler hesitated for the second half of his sentence.
"What else is there to say?"
"He said you need to make an appointment in advance, that he's been quite busy lately, and that he's afraid you... as an elder, will have to wait a while..."
After hearing this, Qin Huai'an's face turned as black as the bottom of a pot.
"Get the car ready, let's go to the Tang family!"
