"Here, take this back."

"..." I wasn't surprised and took the Heartbreak Grass.

"Take care. Feiwu..." He walked step by step up the Tianshan Mountains without looking back. I know you want to forget me with your own two hands; you disdain using methods like consuming the Heartbreak Herb to forget our past.

"...Farewell." I murmured to myself. Without me, you will surely attain immortality and eventually be free from desires, hopes, thoughts, and desires.

"If it can't last forever, why bother having it at all?" I asked.

“What a tragedy, what a tragedy. My earthly ties are severed, which can be considered as fulfilling one of my wishes.” Binghong shook her head.

"Did you foresee this outcome all along?" I asked, tears welling in my eyes, trying to hold them back. "If so, why did you even allow him to get involved in this world?"

"Only by being ruthless can one forget love."

"But..." I don't understand. If you knew how things would end today, you should have prevented us from meeting. All I brought him was pain, and I didn't even offer him much protection.

“You did nothing wrong. You just followed your most primal desires, Fei’er. Take care.” Binghong was unwilling to say more.

I slowly walked back. "Why did you come? Didn't you say you were waiting for me to come back? Or are you afraid I'll change my mind?" Outside my master's bamboo house stood the person dressed in pure white clothes.

He smiled. "Because I can't wait any longer, Fei'er." He opened his arms, waiting for me. How long have you been waiting? Eight years, haven't you? We're no longer teenagers, just full of naive dreams. Thinking of this, a pang of pain shot through my heart, and I walked over without hesitation.

In his arms, I could feel his heartbeat; it was so peaceful.

“My heart died the moment you and him got into the carriage,” he said, stroking my hair.

"Hmph, I'll make you furious. Who told you to leave me without explaining? If I hadn't explained, wouldn't you have been furious too?" I said fiercely.

"Thank goodness you turned back and whispered 'Wait for me' in my ear. In that instant, my heart was revived; it was indescribable." He murmured to himself. "I've finally waited for you, I've finally waited for this day, Fei'er… We'll be happy together. I'll give you everything. I'll go with you to every place you want to go, I…"

"Stop talking, just promise me one thing."

"good."

"Live one more quarter of an hour than me, let me die in your arms..." I looked at him earnestly and voiced my deepest concern.

"I promise." He hugged me tightly, and just like that, the two of us were alone in the world, leaning on each other, trusting each other, relying on each other, giving to each other, and waiting for each other for eight years to be together again. We are no longer young, I am no longer the Mo Fei of yesteryear, and you are no longer the Han Beiming of yesteryear, but even if the world changes, our true feelings will remain unchanged. No matter how much time passes, I will cherish this feeling, and cherish it forever. Because it was hard-won, because it contains so much pain, so many unspeakable things, all of which are worth cherishing…

Two years later, at Juyinglou Restaurant in Hangzhou.

"Why do I have to be on the bottom?" Regretfully complained.

“I’m taller than you,” Ruoyao said, yawning.

"My martial arts skills are better than yours."

"Okay, don't bully me. Be good..." Then she yawned.

"I want to be on top!" she said coquettishly.

Who owns this place?

"…you."

"...Who are the employees here?"

"…I."

Who's paying?

"……you."

“That’s right, when I pay, it’s naturally… up there.” Ruoyao patted Huixin’s head, indicating that you finally understood.

"By the way, will Fei Wu come back to support you at the Gathering of Heroes?" Hui Xinzhen asked. "That's really not fair, it's been so long since you've come to see us."

"It's not that I don't want to, it's that I can't. We finally got together, so of course we should spend more time making love and being affectionate..." Ruoyao replied.

"Poor Fei Wu is going to be blown dry. When he comes back, we'll give him a good boost," said Hui Xin, who was a bit slow on the uptake.

"They're just practicing medicine; we don't need to worry about them."

"Alright, go and get him some good medicine. I also need to nourish my body."

“…”

The Gathering of Heroes is in full swing, amidst trials and tribulations, with a constant stream of new talents emerging. However, the miracle created by Zi Yan Fei Wu remains unbroken. The last Gathering of Heroes was canceled due to the threat from the Khitan, and everyone has come from far and wide, hoping that the god-like figure will descend once more and claim the championship. Especially now that Young Master Fei Wu has faded from the martial world, many hope he will attend this time, wanting to witness his captivating brilliance once more.

In a VIP room on the second floor, a man was drinking tea. The gold medal at his waist was dazzling. Two years had passed, and he was still as arrogant and haughty as ever. But time flies, and the days of youthful recklessness were gone. He only worried: would that person ever come?

In the VIP room on the second floor, a man was pouring wine alone. He was very tall, and it was clear at a glance that he was not from the Central Plains. He was followed by an entourage, but he drank as if no one else was there, seemingly trying to drown his sorrows. Even if there was no longer any interaction, I still wanted to see him one last time, to see if he was happy, to see if he was still as willful and carefree as ever.

"Want to come down?" I stood on the roof, looking at the person beside me. He had a disdainful look on his face.

"You are not allowed to go."

"Since you're here..." Why are you being so domineering?

"No." Very firmly.

"Why?" She seemed a little angry. Was she no longer spoiling me?

"I don't want to share your brilliance with others." He said it so naturally, with such righteousness, seriousness, and earnestness, that my face flushed bright red.

"Hehe." He chuckled and leaned closer. "You still blush so easily, but I like it. Keep going."

"..." Is this something I can control? I glanced at him sideways. "I want to participate. I promised Ruoyao."

"Anyway, they won't lose, so let's just watch the show here. You can go on when he's done for," someone assured, patting their chest.

"…All right."

"That means the air here is fresh, the scenery is beautiful, the view is great, and it's free."

"Are you kidding me?" I looked at him.

“…As long as you’re here, anywhere is the best.” He suddenly whispered in my ear.

I squeezed his hand, and said, "Having you is the best thing."

Because it was the first, it is the most beautiful.

Because it is the first, it is the truest.

Because it was the first, it is the best.

You are mine, and I am yours.

You accompanied me on my travels to the ends of the earth.

Because I am your one and only.

I have tasted all the bitterness of life for you.

Because you are my one and only.

(Adversity Book:)

If you think Fei's personality is bad, it's all the fault of adversity. Don't scold him, scold me.

If Fei's change was too rapid, it wasn't his fault. I don't want to describe the physical suffering he endured over those five years; it was still the fault of adversity.

If you watched the finale, you'll feel happy and can take a breather during this difficult time.

If you're unhappy with the ending, blame the choice to return to simplicity amidst adversity, rather than simply following your heart. Don't blame him; blame adversity.

My writing has become increasingly prone to typos due to writing too quickly. My historical accuracy is also poor, bordering on nonsensical and illogical – that's also my fault. I've always hesitated to write about ancient times because I'm unclear about the dynasties and lack understanding of local customs and traditions. Most importantly, I've been heavily influenced by television dramas, blurring the lines between fact and fiction. Therefore, I apologize for the historical errors and thank you all for your guidance. *Sigh*

Truths about adversity:

The plot for this non-traditional storyline was decided long ago, so it was written quickly. Whenever I have a well-structured plot based on adversity, my writing flows effortlessly. I started thinking about this non-traditional storyline when I was writing about the Angel of Extinction. At that time, I felt dark and depressed, and a sudden thought struck me: if I could go back to ancient times, the love stories of the ancients were all very noble, involving vows of life and death, and a desire to stay together forever. There wouldn't be so many betrayals, so much physical and emotional torment.

Thus, the character Fei was created. In the first part, the story revolves around his helplessness and sorrow during his childhood. He was born the opposite of his twin brother Fei Yu—intelligent and strong, yet misunderstood and unappreciated—until the appearance of Han Beiming changed his mediocre life. This Fei will grow and become strong, eventually becoming the Fei Wu Gongzi (Young Master Fei Wu).

In the second part, Young Master Fei Wu reappears in the martial world, but at this time, Fei's personality is not yet fully developed. He appears lazy but is actually very shrewd, unwilling to fall in love for fear of getting hurt. He is a contradictory individual, but even with these contradictions, all of Fei's essence is gradually discovered, making him a formidable figure who dominates the martial world and becomes irresistible. Therefore,

In the second part, his romantic storyline becomes less prominent, focusing primarily on his rise to fame and power. Then, his unexpected encounter with Yelü Hong, who showers him with affection, becomes a turning point. Due to a lack of love in his youth, Fei only learned to rely on Yelü Hong's doting affection. He didn't love Yelü Hong, selfishly enjoying everything he had, believing this would bring him happiness. Unfortunately, he was wrong. Happiness cannot be achieved through one-sided consumption. Yelü Hong's deception leads Fei to realize that his feelings for Yelü Hong weren't truly sincere; since he could let go, they weren't truly unforgettable.

In the third part, Fei's revenge against Yelü Hong is on the horizon. His emotions mature, and he hesitates about navigating relationships with many people. At this point, he's still a child who craves love. However, as Bing Zi and Han Beiming's cameras appear and contrast, he becomes confused, hesitant, and unable to choose. This situation forces Fei to confront his wounds and painful past. Only by facing them can he truly understand his inner self.

The fourth part is entirely about romance; I'm incredibly proud of myself for that, as I generally can't write purely about emotions in adversity. That's why the fourth part is the shortest. Bing Zi is sincere, Han Bei Ming is deeply in love; both are definitely dominant, but Fei is stubborn and can't accept a threesome. When he's in agonizing indecision, the truth of his tragic past is revealed, allowing Fei to finally face his true feelings. Bing Zi is wonderful, but Fei's feelings for her are more gratitude than genuine affection. Fei likes to rely on those who are good to him, so hurting the devoted Bing Zi is inevitable. However, after all this twist and turn, Fei still loves Han Bei Ming. If two people who love each other can't be together in adversity, even adversity itself will despise itself. Perhaps Fei could choose Bing Zi and slowly fall in love with her, but his initial attraction to Han Bei Ming would cause him pain and regret. Hurting Bing Zi would also make Fei sad, but Bing Zi is destined to become an immortal anyway.

There are two foreshadowing elements in the text. In the first part, Fei's desired happiness is to find someone who needs him to spend his life with, but even such a simple request involves a long and winding road. At that time, Ni Jing decides to give Fei to Han Beiming in the end. However, when Bing Zi appears, Ni Jing truly wavers, even imagining how to build a small house with Bing Zi in the Tianshan Mountains and have a sweet and affectionate scene. However, after wavering for a long time, he ultimately grits his teeth and endures the pain to maintain his original intention, because the beginning is the most beautiful. The ancients were deeply affectionate and stubborn. There is also a foreshadowing element in the text: if Fei's feelings for Han Beiming are not considered love, then he has never loved anyone. His feelings for Han Beiming are still the deepest, but he deliberately buries them.

This post finally broke the points record set by "I Was Originally Heartless," it seems adults like martial arts and ancient stories. I really wanted to write a heartwarming story, but I couldn't. It's always so heart-wrenching, because I think those who survive adversity are the most beautiful, because they become strong, and that kind of transformation is my favorite.
