Chapter 17 Great Advantage

Chapter 17: Great Advantage

The angry dwarf almost rushed forward to fight his enemy to the death, but fortunately Grimm, who still had some sense, stopped his compatriot.

Valachi Haken glanced at these young dwarves with short beards with disdain. They were not worthy to be the opponents of the blood dragon.

Lynch looked at the vampire on the flying dragon eagerly. He really wanted to kill this creature who was said to be very powerful.

Nakai continued to move forward slowly, as if he had never seen the person blocking his way.

Valachi looked at the powerful creature as big as a hill and became interested.

But it was more concerned about Lynch holding the scepter. That magic weapon could obviously weaken the undead! Just when Lynch was excited and thought that a bloody battle was about to begin, the blood dragon made a decision.

At his signal, a sharp spell was cast, and the vampire hiding in the dark summoned shadows to temporarily trap Lynch in the Kingdom of Shadows.

Lynch's shadow came to life and swallowed Lynch in one swoop, throwing him into the reflection of this world.

In the dead silent space, Lynch looked at the shadowy figure and fell into an unspeakable silence.

Why was he singled out for such a purpose? You know, the Wanderer Nakai was still out there. He was a terrifying ancient giant lizard that was as agile as a Secret Keeper and more powerful than a Bloodthirsty Demon! Valachi slowly put away the Holy Grail, which contained the blood of all the powerful opponents he had killed!

After being transformed into a vampire by Abhorash, although Valazi disdained to abide by the old-fashioned doctrines of the Blood Dragon Ancestor, it liked to challenge strong enemies just like that great warrior.

The difference is that Abohrash is a model of chivalry.

Valachi, however, could neither be called an honorable man nor a knight. He simply relied on his extraordinary vampire advantages to slaughter people everywhere, with at most some hypocritical chivalrous etiquette mixed in.

In fact, most of the Blood Dragon Knights only partially abide by Abhorash's doctrine, abandon the part that is not beneficial to them, and interpret the orders of the ancestor with their own will.

For example, Abhorash nauseated himself because of his thirst for blood, but the descendants of the blood dragon were happy to drink all night long! The experience Abhorash had taught him made Valazi invincible. It was the only blood dragon that had the hope of challenging the ancestor.

Even its brother, the insane Luther Harken, could not stand shoulder to shoulder with it.

Maybe it once could, but thousands of years of wandering have honed its skills, allowing it to go further.

Valachi raised the scarlet sword and ordered the knights to charge.

Unlike every previous attack, there were no longer endless undead as cannon fodder, only blood knights eager to try.

In the shadow world, Lynch looked at the reflection of the intensive charge and poked it a few times tentatively with the scepter, but there was no response.

A huge projection passed Lynch and rushed towards the horse-riding shadow.

Nakai silently increased his speed, and with a terrible explosion, dozens of vampires eager for slaughter were smashed into pools of flesh!

Valachi was just about to order the skeleton dragon to dive when the one-sided massacre on the ground was about to end.

The surviving blood knight shouted and charged at the huge monitor lizard, but was crushed in vain and despair in the first encounter.

The remaining blood knights reined in their horses, turned around, and flew from the sky towards the lizardmen behind the giant lizard.

Thorous silently greeted the vampire with his spear and obsidian club.

As in every previous battle, the vampires used their superior speed to break through the lizardmen's defenses, while the scarred ones simply avoided the vital points, allowing the swords or lances to fall on the torso without causing immediate death.

Then, sharp fangs or weapons with strong winds will severely damage the vampire.

The blood descendants' extraordinary skills are no longer of help in the increasingly bloody close combat.

Countless shadows were fighting each other. Lynch was looking for the caster in the reflection, but he saw a shadow that did not belong to the battlefield.

It was a huge, fat human figure with two bat wings behind it, looking like some kind of demon.

It stood in the center of the battlefield, and its scarlet eyes looked at Lynch from the shadows.

Lynch looked at the shadows struggling fiercely beside him and clenched his scepter.

One after another, the blood knights fell off their horses, rolled into a ball with the lizardmen, and wrestled in the swamp.

The lizardmen had a tenacious vitality, which brought a chilling effect when both sides were forced to drop their weapons and start biting and punching savagely.

A vampire tore off the lizardman's arm, but the sharp claws on that arm still pierced through its body with undiminished power.

Some vampires tried their best to break away from the brutal rhythm of the lizardmen, picked up their weapons again, and engaged in the military attacks they were good at.

But the fearless lizardmen are far from the mortals they once slaughtered! The Thoros who followed the wanderers were not rookies who were easily dominated by primitive rage. They also had hundreds and thousands of years of fighting experience.

Moreover, they have monstrous physiques.

In the old world, descendants of blood dragons can use their experience to deal with more powerful monsters and kill them, but the monsters present are as cunning as the blood descendants.

The monster in the shadows gave Lynch a meaningful look.

It seemed to want to say something, but suddenly became extremely crazy.

The monster raised its head fanatically and raised its hands high as if praising some existence.

When Lynch approached it, a faint prayer echoed in his ears.

What made Lynch shudder was that he used a language that did not belong to this world.

“Save me!”

Suddenly he became cruel again.

"Why don't you take refuge in the loving Grandfather God? You too know this world, my dear fellow man. You are courting your own destruction."

A slow and dull sound exploded in Lynch's ears, and Lynch swung the scepter with compassion, recklessness and determination.

From time to time, there are reckless skinks that launch raids at the cost of their lives, bringing changes that are favorable to the Lizardmen. The dwarves also form battle formations to force the vampires to the side of the terrifying giant lizards.

Although the monitor lizard is slow, vampires cannot escape from its mouth if the space is small enough.

The lizard man smashed the vampire's skull with a hearty blow of his club, and at the same time the vampire's sword pierced into Thoros' body.

Teeth, claws, random stones, the warriors hurt each other with every weapon they could get their hands on.

Vampires are more agile, and lizardmen are more formidable in their power!

In the brutal fight of exchanging injuries for lives, if it weren't for the supernatural recovery ability of the blood descendants, they would have met with a bleak defeat long ago.

The blood descendants who were hiding in the dark to help in the battle wanted to use magic to interfere with the warriors, but this despicable sneak attack was stopped by Romon who quietly approached from under the water and launched a bite.

Even though his cowardice caused the other warriors present to despise him, his power as a giant beast was unquestionable.

The power of the ancient holy artifact is unquestionable, but before the artifact touched the strange shadow, the shadow dissipated first.

Its confused and crazy cries still echo here.

"Oh, White Wolf God Yurik! Please let me forget that knowledge! Please!"

"It's just a cold... just a cold... No! Don't come over here! Dear father!"

"Save me! Lord of the Wilderness! Tal! Save... you false god...

No! I didn’t ask for a favor, get out of here! Plague Lord... leave here... please let them go..."

"Don't blame me! Grandpa Rosa, the plague in the village has nothing to do with me!"

"It was not I who killed them! It was only Nurgle who was associated with it, not me..."

"Goddess of Mercy! Shaurya! Please have mercy on me! Dylan and Nona are still children. Please... don't let them die in the plague..."

"Sotek! Ancient Saint Sotek! Help me... Seven curses! Seven changes! Seven blessings!"

The shrill scream made Lynch stand still, and the shadow world was fading away rapidly.

When the screams of Valachi echoed across the battlefield, the fight that would terrify mortals ended.

When Lynch returned from the Shadow Kingdom, what came into his sight was the skeleton dragon that had been dismembered by Nakai, and Valachi, with only half of his body left, twisting and crawling in the mud.

It tried to get away from Nakai in a panic, but an inadvertent kick from the ancient monitor lizard completely ended its long life.

The Holy Grail, which contained the blood of a powerful enemy, merged with its owner, becoming a pool of mud indistinguishable from each other.

Lynch looked at the scarlet sword that had turned into a ball of iron, feeling somewhat regretful that he could not take part in this battle.

If it was Nakai who was isolated by the spell, perhaps Valazi could fight with Lynch for half a day until the caster could no longer maintain the spell and let Nakai return.

But unfortunately, Valachi chose to throw the easiest to bully lizardmen out of the battlefield and bravely face the powerful enemy that even the great demon feared.

This should be the belief of the Blood Dragon Knight! Lin Qi looked around the battlefield and breathed a sigh of relief when he found that the two foreign visitors were safe.

But the other dwarves were not so lucky.

The brutal battle claimed the lives of four dwarves, and even if Lynch could find the resurrection crystal hidden under the pyramid temple, he could not save them.

Because the resurrection crystal only works on Lizardmen, it can only resurrect Lizardmen who have just died.

Before the dwarves could observe a moment of silence for their compatriots, the dense and roaring sound of artillery once again broke the peace of the swamp.

Lynch reacted quickly and uttered short syllables. The lizardman took the prompt and followed Lynch to the woods not far away.

The vampires underestimated the strength of the Lizardmen. Valachi thought he could delay for enough time, but the pirate fleet that arrived late only had time to bury him with artillery fire.

The first round of calibration fire resulted in no significant casualties, and the dwarves were heartbroken that they could not carry away the bodies of their companions.

They quickly took away the weapons of their dead companions, looked at the direction of the artillery fire with hatred, and followed the Lizardmen to retreat into the woods that blocked out the sun.
