Chapter 306 That sack...

"Who is it?" Xing Zhaozhao went out to open the door, saw the person standing outside, smiled, and asked, "What brings you here?"

Outside the door, Xiao Qinshi held up the heavy sack in his hand and said with a smile, "I brought this treasure to my aunt."

Xing Zhaozhao led Xiao Qinshi into the house: "It's been a long time since I've seen you bring anything over. I thought you were going to quit."

“Grandpa won’t let me go out too often, so I decided to save up a lot at once and bring it to you,” Xiao Qinshi said. “Oh, by the way, Grandpa made another batch of incense and asked me to bring it to you.”

"That would be wonderful," Xing Zhaozhao said with a smile. "Do you still have any spices? Should we buy some more?"

"We don't need it for now, Grandpa still has some," Xiao Qinshi said.

"Brother Xiaoshi." Hongfei and Hongyu were very happy to see Xiao Qin. They called out to him and pulled him over to play together.

Although Xiao Qin was tempted, he still hesitated and looked at Xing Zhaozhao: "That thing..."

Xing Zhaozhao waved her hand at him and said, "I'll look at the things myself. If I don't understand them, I'll come to you. You guys have fun." After all, she had already studied them seriously.

Xiao Qin Shi was relieved and joined Hong Fei and Hong Yu in playing with Xiao Hong Ling.

Xing Zhaozhao opened the sack that Xiao Qinshi had brought and saw that he had indeed accumulated quite a lot of things during this period.

One small clock, its age unknown, unfortunately there's only one. One white porcelain incense burner with a Pixiu design, its age unknown; her current level of expertise only allows her to recognize it as white porcelain. One…

Xing Zhaozhao was about to continue watching when suddenly there was another knock on the door.

She quickly packed everything back into the sack, then got up and went to open the door: "Who is it?"

Opening the door, Xing Zhaozhao was taken aback when she saw three friendly-looking men standing outside. She quickly remembered them, frowned, and asked, "Why is it you?"

The three who came were none other than Liu Feiyue, Liu Erxi, and Liu Sanchang.

Liu Feiyue and his group had only walked a short distance out of the woods when they saw the house nestled halfway up the mountain. They went straight over and knocked on the door, intending to ask the homeowner about Xing Zhaozhao. Unexpectedly, when the door opened, they were confronted with Xing Zhaozhao's familiar face. Not only Xing Zhaozhao herself, but the three of them were also stunned by the unexpected sight.

Liu Feiyue was the first to react, and a sharp glint flashed in his eyes.

"Oh, it's you. What a coincidence to run into you here," he said with a smile, looking at Xing Zhaozhao. He was telling the truth; he truly hadn't expected it.

"Is this your home?" Liu Feiyue's gaze passed over Xing Zhaozhao's head and glanced into the house. Then, through the open door of the main room, he immediately saw a burlap sack on the table that looked rather out of place...

Inside the main room, Fu Lan was sitting facing the door. When she looked up, she saw three unfamiliar heads taller than Xing Zhaozhao. Her heart skipped a beat, and she got up and came out, asking, "What's wrong, Sister Xing?"

Xing Zhaozhao turned to look at Fu Lan and winked at her: "It's okay, you can go back first."

Fu Lan understood immediately, nodded, and turned to go back to look after the three children.

This must be the younger sister of Dong Cang's future sister-in-law, right?

Liu Feiyue glanced at Fu Lan, a thought flashing through his mind. Pretending not to know anything, he looked down at Xing Zhaozhao and said, "So it's Comrade Xing."

"Is there something you need?" Xing Zhaozhao asked, looking at him warily.

"It's nothing," Liu Feiyue said with a harmless smile. "The three of us brothers went into the mountains early this morning, hoping to find some wild game to enjoy, but we didn't find anything after walking all the way. We even took a wrong turn and ended up in your Xiaogaozhuang. We were thirsty and tired, and when we saw this house, we thought we'd come over and ask for a couple of bowls of water. We didn't expect to run into Comrade Xing. Last time, no matter what, we gave you several piglets. Asking for a couple of bowls of water now shouldn't be too much to ask, right?"

Now that things have come to this point, it would seem unreasonable for Xing Zhaozhao to refuse, since all she wanted was two bowls of water.

Xing Zhaozhao stared at them for a moment, then finally stepped aside: "Okay, but you can only stay in the yard. I don't want to scare the child." Having learned from her previous experience, she believed they wouldn't dare to make any rash moves. As long as she prevented them from having any contact with the child, she was confident she could handle them even if they wanted to do something.

"No problem." Liu Feiyue nodded with a smile and led Liu Erxi and Liu Sanchang through the door.

Xing Zhaozhao stopped in front of the main room and kicked out three small stools for them: "Please sit wherever you like."

"Thanks," Liu Feiyue said, taking one seat for himself and handing the other two to Liu Erxi and Liu Sanchang, gesturing for them to sit down.

Xing Zhaozhao then turned to Fu Lan and ordered, "Pour them three bowls of cold water."

"Okay." Fu Lan nodded and went to the kitchen.

Hearing the noise, the children tried to peek out, but Xing Zhaozhao noticed and stopped them, saying, "Keep a close eye on your little sister."

In the instant she turned away, Liu Sanchang spotted the burlap sack on the table in the main room. It looked very familiar, just like the sack belonging to the brat who had stolen their treasure.

Liu Sanchang, his face grim, suddenly stood up from the stool and strode into the main room, reaching for the burlap sack on the table: "This burlap sack is..."

Just as his hand was about to touch the sack, Xing Zhaozhao reached out and grabbed his wrist, looking at him sternly, and asked, "What are you doing? Weren't you supposed to stay in the yard? What are you doing in here?"

Liu Sanchang felt as if he were being gripped by an iron claw. No matter how hard he tried to pull his hand back, he couldn't move an inch. His fierce-looking face turned red, and fine beads of sweat appeared on his face, but it was all in vain. He could even faintly hear his bones screaming, "It's going to break, it's going to break..."

Seeing that things were going badly, Liu Feiyue immediately stepped forward with a smile and said, "I'm sorry, Comrade Xing. He looks big, but he's not very bright. He didn't mean to offend me."

Xing Zhaozhao gave Liu Feiyue a cold look, but gave him face and let go of his hand.

Liu Sanchang grimaced, rubbing his aching wrist, and looked at Liu Feiyue, saying, "No, brother, that sack..."

Liu Feiyue punched Liu Sanchang and said irritably, "Why are you bothering with other people's sacks?"

Liu Sanchang looked aggrieved: "No, it's not that sack..."

Xiao Qin poked his head out, puzzled: "What happened to my sack?"

When Liu Feiyue saw Xiao Qin's familiar face, and then looked at the sack, his expression turned strange. Could that sack contain the treasure they'd stolen?
