Chapter 62: Get to know them.

"Your Majesty, Don’t you think it’s time you ask your second wife to dance?" Raziah asked, slowly disengaging her hands from his shoulders as the soft music was about to come to an end. Aragon’s jaw worked slightly at her words. Princess Gwenore has been sitting quietly on that throne ever since, and she needed someone to at least talk to. The impression he was giving off wasn’t a good one, and even though it might be because he has all the power and he can do what he wants, Raziah wasn’t happy about it. He needs to be fair. "So you can continue your conversation with Zoan? No, hazel." "Well, you have to dance with Princess Gwen!" He didn’t say anything this time, and she noticed how he kept on working his jaw. When his arms around her waist suddenly tightened, Raziah sighed agitatedly, "You have to let me go, I need my rest," "I’ll catch you." "I actually need to sit, I can’t dance forever." "I’ll hold you," God, what would it take for her to make this man let go of her?! Then, she sighted a group of Princesses chattering about not too far from them. In the middle of their conversation which looked like gossip to Raziah’s eyes, sat a particular Princess that stood out amongst the others. She had a sweet smile on her face, but her eyes were saying the opposite and she was currently looking at Gwenore, which made Raziah feel like people were thinking that she was just pathetic sitting on the throne while her husband has been dancing with his first bride. "You’re really tempting me to slap you in the face again!" Now that she knew he was King, Raziah had to start talking to him a lot more politely, but those words had just left her mouth freely and she wasn’t planning on correcting herself, "And I don’t care what I have to do. If I have to break all my bones just to get that slap across, it’d be my undying pleasure!" She glared at him as she slipped her hands off his neck. "And you think you can win?" "Only one way to find out." She looked so serious that he almost couldn’t believe it. "Wouldn’t you just gladly take my life?" Aragon had intentionally used those set of words because after her kidnap incident at the market, and the time they came to bring him back to Erandell, he had made sure to go across a few things she had done and had noticed something quite...odd about her again. Raziah wanted to gnaw at his face. Why would he use those words?! Yes, maybe she had so many reasons to kill him right now, but..., "Your Majesty, Please don’t keep her waiting. She’s been sitting there all alone. At least if you won’t do it for her, do it for something else..." Raziah had gone out of her way to plead as her eyes moved back to the Princess that was exchanging looks with Gwenore, and this time the Princess had taken her eyes off Gwen...and they locked with Raziah’s! Finally, his grip around her loosened up and his hands fell to his sides. She nodded silently at him. Raziah was just about to bow and walk away when she stopped herself and turned back to him. She stared into his void that still scared her, letting out a mental sigh as stood on her tiptoes to get as close to his face as she could. Making it to the crook of his neck, her lips innocently brushed against his skin as she whispered, "Be nice, please." And then she walked away. While Aragon’s knuckles had turned white already. That woman surely didn’t know what she was doing to him! Raziah had just taken an Empty chair when expensive feminine shoes stopped right in front of her. The dress was a golden shade, and things kept getting better as Raziah looked higher...till she got to the face and wishes that she did not. Elegant brown curls of hair ran down her back, and she had this medium pine Green eyes, her natural lashes were almost as long as Raziah’s. She was amongst the lines of royals that had introduced themselves, but Raziah couldn’t remember her name. "Princess Ember Emmerich, Your highness." She stated, looking so proud of herself. Raziah only nodded. What does she want?! "Pardon me your highness, but I was wondering if you would like to join the rest of us. We’ve all been dying to meet and know you ever since you walked in, do you mind?" Ember was trying her hardest. Raziah didn’t want to. She didn’t mind sitting here all night without anyone bothering her. She wanted to see whether her husband would end up asking his other wife or dance, or whether she would have to ruin the event when she loses her cool and hits him for the third time. But once again, her stupid duties had to come in the way. ’Get to know them’ She didn’t want to! Raziah stood up from her seat with the answer written in the direction of her steps as she approached about eight of them. She had noticed how much they had been staring and talking when Ember had approached her, and now they had all gone quiet like a graveyard had just been dropped on them. Their rendezvous point had a large sofa that was enough to accommodate them all. Taking an empty stop at the edge of the seat, she leaned back on the sofa and gave them all the bored and uninterested cold eyes. "Your highness, would you like a drink?" Ember had also taken her seat between who other Princesses and was holding up a Normal drink for humans. Raziah glanced at it for a moment, and it looked like wine. Though she was thirsty, she only accepted the drink and dropped it at the next table beside her. "I so much admired the way you stood up to the King. That’s like...a replaying image I can never get out of my head!" She was shivering with excitement, and the other Princesses joined in while nodding their heads as they watched her. It was clear that they wanted her to say something about it too. She faced them all, "You’re all beautiful," Tipping her head one side, she gave a curt nod, "Let’s keep it that way, Hm?"
