Chapter 72 "Why, do you have anyone else?"
That night, Lin Shutang fell asleep early. She didn't know when Li Yansheng came back. He must have stayed up very late. When Lin Shutang woke up in the morning, the person next to him hadn't left yet.
As soon as she opened her eyes, she felt a large hand around her waist. She moved slightly, trying to get up.
But a voice came from behind: "Sleep a little longer."
The voice was still not very clear, and was a little hoarse with sleepiness.
Lin Shutang paused and slid back into the quilt. The man behind her pressed against her, encircling her in his arms once again.
This was the first time Lin Shutang had such a feeling. He couldn't explain it in his heart, but he didn't resist it.
Lin Shutang initially felt quite awake and not sleepy. In the end, after lying there for who knows how long, he fell asleep again.
When she woke up, Li Yansheng was no longer by her side. She took the phone from the bedside table and saw it read 10:40.
I got up and went downstairs. The guy sitting on the sofa was still there. He didn't seem very busy today. He wasn't looking at work documents, which was rare.
Hearing footsteps, Li Yansheng looked up. The first thing he saw was the girl's fair calves.
She hadn't changed her clothes and was still wearing her white pajamas. Perhaps because she had slept for a long time, her complexion was much better than usual.
Li Yansheng put down the book and glanced at her pajamas: "Have you washed up?"
Lin Shutang nodded: "Yeah, I didn't change into pajamas because I didn't want to go out yet."
"Go change, I'll take you out for dinner."
"Isn't Auntie here?"
"She has today off."
Lin Shutang nodded and said nothing more.
The two of them went to a Western restaurant.
Li Yansheng had always taken Lin Shutang to Chinese restaurants. This was their first time at a Western restaurant. The waiter asked for their information and took them to their seats.
There are two purple and white roses on the table. I don’t know if they are dyed, but they look quite beautiful.
Lin Shutang had never eaten Western food before and had no idea about it. He took the menu, glanced at it casually, ordered a steak, and handed it to Li Yansheng.
Li Yansheng took it and ordered a steak and a bowl of fish porridge.
This shop is very fast. It took about ten minutes for the food I ordered to be delivered.
Lin Shutang took a bite and felt something was wrong.
Perhaps the steaks were cooked this way, probably without the customer's specific request, and were usually cooked to a medium-rare consistency. Lin Shutang simply couldn't get used to the taste; the piano music, which had seemed so soothing just now, didn't seem quite so appropriate anymore.
Across from her, Li Yansheng had already taken a few slow, measured bites, seemingly enjoying the flavor just right for him. Lin Shutang glanced at the meat on his plate, which was cut identically to hers. She couldn't help but wonder if there was something wrong with her taste. She tried again, but once again, she felt like spitting it out the moment it entered her mouth.
I had just woken up and had no appetite to begin with. I couldn't eat anything fishy, so I stopped eating and just drank water.
Li Yansheng raised his hand and pushed the fish porridge next to him in front of her.
Lin Shutang tasted it with a spoon and found it tasted good, so he continued eating.
Li Yansheng didn't order anything until Lin Shutang finished eating. Then Lin Shutang realized that he must have ordered this fish porridge for her in the first place.
After finishing her meal, Lin Shutang put down her tissue, and Li Yansheng handed her a card: "There's a shopping mall across the street, go shopping there first."
Lin Shutang looked up and saw Li Yansheng staring outside, as if he had spotted someone. He wanted to follow his gaze, but he looked away first.
Seeing this, Lin Shutang's eyebrows curved, and he said jokingly: "Why, do you have someone else?"
