Chapter 4

Chapter 4

The only people I know in Slytherin are Malfoy Black and a few people they get along with. In Gryffindor... there seems to be only one red-haired girl named... Evans?

It was at this moment that a voice saved her.

"Ayala?"

She turned around and saw the red-haired girl.

"Don't you have a partner?"

Ayala nodded with difficulty.

"Then let's go together."

She looked at the girl for the first time. Her hair was the same color as the tie on her chest. She had beautiful emerald eyes and small canine teeth. She was very... beautiful and would definitely be a good-looking person in the future.

"good."

Thankfully, someone finally came to her rescue.

"Oh, Lily, why are you with a Slytherin?!"

A boy's voice came from behind them. Ayala looked in the direction of the voice and saw a boy with black hair and glasses. There was also a boy with black hair next to him, but he looked much more handsome than him.

"What's this to you, Potter?"

"Slytherins are a bunch of hypocritical people. You'd better be careful not to be fooled by them."

"Shut up, Potter!—Ayala, you're not going to be mad, are you?"

"No, let's divide the work."

What we are going to do in this class is scabies potion.

"I'll sharpen the snake's teeth, and you cook the slugs."

"good."

Ayala followed the steps in the textbook and carefully handled the snake fangs in his hand. After a long time, he finally ground the snake fangs into the shape of particles in the textbook, and the slugs were cooked.

Then, following the steps, thirty minutes later, smoke began to rise from the crucible. It finally worked! The liquid in the crucible was the exact same color as in the textbook, and Professor Slughorn came over.

"Oh, perfect work, tell me your names, children."

"Lily Evans."

"Ayala Turner."

"Turner? Your father... No, I remember I taught your father, but I can't remember his name. Children, each of you will get five points for the academy."

"...Thank you, Professor."

Another person who I remember but seem not to remember.

The flying class that Narcissa mentioned soon arrived. Unfortunately, they were in the same class with Gryffindor again. The last Potions class with Gryffindor was... too painful to recall. There were quarrels in class more than once.

But the broom used in class was different from the one she saw last time. The broom on the ground was no different from the one used to sweep the floor, but the broom she saw Malfoy and the others using last time was not like this.

Their brooms were all extremely straight and beautiful, but this time...

"Now, everyone extend a hand."

The professor spoke. The professor teaching them flying lessons was a female professor, and everyone called her Madam Hooch. Ayala extended her right hand like everyone else.

“Say firmly and forcefully: up!”

“…UP!”

There was no reaction. Many people were like her, but there were still a few exceptions, such as the two Gryffindors opposite, the boy who talked to Evans in the last Potions class and the boy next to him who was more handsome than him.

“up!”

This was probably the only subject in Hogwarts that she was not good at. The broom on the ground did not move at all. It was halfway through the class when the broom finally got up.

Half of the people were already flying on the brooms. Ayala closed his eyes and prayed silently, the broom must get up, must fly. At this moment, the broom suddenly got up... something was wrong.

She didn't kick her legs, and the broom floated steadily at a very low place. In order to verify her guess, Ayala tried to make her body float up. Yes, she was right. She was not flying because of the broom, but she could fly by herself.

The broom in her hands was completely carried up by her. As long as she loosened her hands, the broom would fall down by itself.

After class she returned the broom and ran to find Madam Hooch.

"Madam Hooch, I have a question."

"Excuse me, Miss Turner."

"Excuse me, can a wizard fly without a broom?"

"It's almost impossible. Other countries have tools like flying carpets, but there are only a few wizards who can fly without any tools. It can be said that there are almost no wizards who can fly without any tools."

"...Okay, thank you, Professor."

To confirm again, after school in the afternoon, Ayala locked her bedroom door and imitated what she had done in class, thinking in her mind, fly, fly.

The next second, her body floated up. She thought about going higher and higher, and her body flew according to the command of her brain...

She stayed in the library and looked for all the books about flying. It was not until she read the nth book that Ayala finally found a little information about her own flying.

…He just said that it was a very difficult task and listed some wizards who could do it, including Merlin.

Nothing was found, but Ayala's subconscious told her that Isabel might know about this. After hesitating for many days, she decided to write a letter to Isabel to ask.

She had thought about it in her mind but only wrote down a short paragraph. It took several days for her to receive a reply. She received the letter just after she had finished breakfast. Black said that there were Quidditch team tryouts today and took her to the Quidditch field.

Ayala sat down on the court and began to open the letter. The letter must have been left in Isabel's room for a long time, and it smelled of a rose that belonged to her.

Dear Ayala,

I know the answer to your question, but I can't tell you now. One day you will understand. You don't have to worry too much. As long as you keep wearing the bracelet I gave you, you will be safe.

Your Aunt Isabel

…She looked at the bracelet on her hand, felt a little more at ease, and turned her attention to the tryouts in front of her.

Only students in the second year and above can participate in this selection. It can be seen how popular this sport is in the wizarding world. There are quite a few people participating in the selection of Slytherin College alone.

She couldn't understand, and since Black knew that Ayala didn't know much about Quidditch, he introduced Quidditch to her, such as who were the members of the Quidditch team, what the competition system was, and what were the tasks of each member.

It was not until it was almost dark that the new members were selected, and they walked into the auditorium in groups again.

Just after Halloween, the Quidditch competition began. The four colleges then competed in pairs, and the winning college could add points to its college.

According to Black, Slytherin had won for five consecutive years. She didn't know why before watching the game, but she knew after watching it.

Because they took advantage of loopholes in the rules of the game, they deliberately bumped into the brooms of the opposing players, causing them to drop their brooms, and attacked them with bats, not hesitating to have a player sent off in order to injure the other player.

After the game, Ayala had only one feeling: suffocating. The atmosphere was extremely depressing. No one cheered except the Slytherins. To be honest, even she couldn't stand it anymore. But in order to prevent the cheering atmosphere in front of her from cooling down, she endured it and didn't say anything to celebrate or to spoil the fun.
