Chapter 6

Chapter 6

While Ayala was thinking hard, another owl flew over, also flying out of a hole inexplicably.

It dropped a letter, just one letter, and she quickly opened it to read.

I don't think I need to introduce myself to you. This news has shocked me so much that I don't even know how to talk to you. I want to talk to you in person. Tomorrow at Florin's Ice Cream Shop in Diagon Alley at 3 pm, it's okay if you don't come.

—Kay

Another puzzling message. She didn't know this Kai, Florin at all... Then let's go to Diagon Alley tomorrow.

She really wanted to ask Isabel, but without even thinking about it, she would not tell herself. Ayala thought of someone, Albus Dumbledore. This knowledgeable wizard would definitely be able to give her an answer.

The next day.

At three o'clock in the afternoon, she arrived at Florin ten minutes early, but after waiting for a full hour, she didn't see anyone.

After the holiday, she went to the station with only one suitcase. As soon as she arrived there, she saw Black and Malfoy, and they also saw her.

"Good morning, Ayala."

"Good morning."

Malfoy and Black both needed to go to the prefects' carriage, so she could only sit with a few other Slytherins who got along well with her.

They kept talking about what they had done for Christmas, and Ayala remained silent all the way to Hogwarts.

Blake hadn't eaten and had been catching up on her homework, so she was urged to finish her meal in a few minutes and go back to her bedroom with her to finish her homework.

She had an awful lot of homework, and almost all of it was piled up until today, so she didn't stop writing until the early hours of the morning.

The classes were still as easy as usual, but she now had to find a way to see Dumbledore, so she brought the package with her.

There was only one way, which was to wait at the door of his office. Ayala didn't know if she was lucky or what, but she had just stood at the door of the office for ten minutes when she saw a conspicuous old man walking up the stairs.

"Oh, the Sorting Hat told me about you, Ayala Turner. Come in and talk to me, kid."

He said "honey" to the stone statue at the door of the office, and the statue quickly moved, revealing a staircase in front of it.

The headmaster's office was warm and not as serious as she had imagined. Dumbledore pointed to a chair in front of his desk.

"Sit down, kid, would you like some lemon tea?"

"Come on, thank you, Principal."

He waved his wand and soon a cup of hot tea was placed in front of Ayala.

"My child, are you having any trouble?"

"...It's like this, Principal. I'm not sure if we have the same name, but I received a package on Christmas. The owner of this package has the same name as you, and he gave me a notebook."

Ayala took something out of his backpack and placed it on the table. Dumbledore first looked at the note and then at the notebook.

"This is indeed my handwriting."

Her chatterbox opened immediately.

"?! But why? I mean, I know you, but you don't know me, so why would you give me a gift?"

Dumbledore smiled, grabbed a handful of candy, placed it in front of her, and then comforted her gently.

"Don't worry, listen to me. This letter wasn't sent to you by someone from this time and space. You could even say it wasn't sent to you now, but to you at another age. It was indeed sent by me, but I don't remember knowing you. Don't worry, time will tell you the answer."

Did that mean, wait? She hated waiting.

Dumbledore chatted with her for a moment before escorting her out of the Headmaster's office, and it had to be said that chatting with him was strangely reassuring.

After this conversation, Ayala silently accepted the fact that he would receive something from another time and space, and his appetite improved a lot when he ate dinner in the evening.

"Do you want something, Ayala?"

Blake, who had just returned from the library, sat down next to her as he spoke.

"Yes, help me get that bottle of milk."

"I'm not asking you that."

Blake rolled her eyes and handed her the milk and said.

"Lucius and I are going to Hogsmeade tomorrow. We were unable to go a few months ago due to something else. Do you need anything? I can bring it to you."

"…Hogsmeade?"

"It's a village full of wizards. You can go there after third grade. They sell a lot of things, like candy, stationery, wizard robes, and things like that."

"I want to eat chocolate, is there any there?"

"Of course I do. Honeydukes Candy Store sells many kinds of chocolates. Should I bring you some of my favorites?"

"Thanks."

In addition to going to the library, Ayala also has another place to go, which is to talk to the ghost portraits. She has the best relationship with the Bloody Baron. He is the ghost of Slytherin. Although his words are not very pleasant, he is a good person. There is one benefit to having a good relationship with him.

That means she no longer has to worry about being pranked by Peeves, but in fact, Peeves never bothered her normally, as if he just flew away like air.

Today she was going to the library. Black Malfoy had a lot of homework to do, so he went to the library to find books, and then he took her with him.

The first-grade homework was very little and could be finished in an hour, so Ayala came here to relax. She found a book on Defense Against the Dark Arts and started reading. The group of people became unusually quiet and were all busy writing.

They seemed to have forgotten the time. Hours had passed and they were still writing. She was already hungry, but no one stood up to tell her what time it was and whether they should go eat.

Ayala looked at the book in front of him boredly, his soul had already flown away. He looked at the wall clock not far away and waited for a long time.

"I've finished writing mine, what about you, Lucius?"

Finally, Blake's voice rang out.

"Just a few words—that's all."

Finally, for the first time, she felt so happy.

"What time is it? Ayala."

"Six fifty thirteen seconds."

"Oh, it's getting late. It's time to go eat."

Thank God.
