Chapter 63 Game Rules

As soon as we stepped out of the cave, the sudden burst of bright natural light made me involuntarily close my eyes. Ji Linan immediately pulled me back, and after a while, I opened my eyes to find myself in a vast forest. A thick fog blanketed the forest, obscuring the view above.

The cave exit was surrounded by rocks, with a gravel path on the ground. After walking along the gravel path for about two minutes, we entered the edge of the forest. The ground was covered with weeds, stones, and some unknown plants. Following our agreed-upon direction, Ji Lin'an and I carefully made our way to the right side of the cave.

Suddenly, a heavy rain started, forcing Ji Lin'an and me to stop. I took out two umbrellas from my spatial storage, but there was nowhere to take shelter from the rain, so we had to keep going. We rushed out of the cave in the last minute before the poison gas was released.

We put on our raincoats and left the cave to continue forward. Suddenly, we saw a figure not far away, huddled under a tree, soaked to the bone by the rain. Ji Lin'an turned to me and gestured for me to be quiet. After observing the terrain, we decided to detour along a path not far from the survivor. At this point, we couldn't determine whether the other person was friend or foe, so it was better to avoid attracting attention for the time being.

Just as we successfully evaded the survivor, a voice suddenly called out from behind: "Hello, can I join you?"
