With less than four days until the zombie outbreak, all preparations have been completed. Based on the conclusion drawn from the last future vision, although zombies were the cause of our deaths, the majority of the factors were human-caused. We have prepared the supplies, and now we can only rely on future visions to avoid danger. With supplies secured, Ji Lin'an and I decided to use the Anywhere Door to make the most of our last few days.
I put on a beautiful makeup when I woke up this morning, changed into a bright yellow halter-neck long dress, applied a thick layer of sunscreen, and put on a big sun hat. That's right, Ji Lin'an and I are going to the beach today. Since we can only play at one beach for two hours, we'll go to several beaches. I got quite tanned by the end of the day.
It's the third to last day of the zombie outbreak. I got up, put on makeup, and changed clothes. Today I'm going to see the mountain scenery.
It's the second to last day of the zombie outbreak. I got up, put on makeup, and changed clothes. Today I'm going to visit an ancient town.
The zombie outbreak countdown begins. I get up, put on makeup, and change clothes. Today I'm going to eat, drink, and shop everywhere.
It's the zeroth day before the zombie outbreak. The outbreak occurred at 1 PM. In the future footage, we checked the order of the zombie outbreak locations in the area. Based on the time, it was estimated that the zombies would reach our vicinity at 4 PM.
We got up early to check if any supplies were missing, and then checked the doors and windows of the house. Considering that there would be no heating in winter, we went to the mall to buy some thick quilts and clothes. When we saw the mall's billboard advertising a drone show for National Day, I suddenly had an idea: "Let's buy a few drones. That way, every time you go out to lure zombies, you can first see which area has more zombies, so you don't have to drive around searching blindly."
Ji Lin'an tapped my forehead: "Your little brain works pretty fast."
After buying the drone, we had one last big meal at the mall and then went home.
Two hours before the zombie outbreak, we returned to find Zhu Chen's car parked in front of her house. We went up to the fourth floor and saw Zhu Chen and Jiang Kexin both home. Ji Lin'an pretended to be from Jinhao Hotel and called Jiang Kexin: "Hello, this is from the catering department of Jinhao Hotel. To thank our new and old customers, we found that you have booked our Starry Night Banquet Hall on October 1st. Our hotel has a wedding gift for you and your husband. Would it be convenient for you to come and pick it up?"
Jiang Kexin said impatiently, "I'm not free today, let's do it another day."
Ji Lin'an lowered his voice and continued, "Hello, ladies, the deadline for receiving the gifts is 4 PM. The gifts need to be signed for by both the recipient and their spouse. Our hotel has only selected 5 couples to receive the gifts, so don't miss out. If you are not available, the spots will have to be given to other couples."
After discussing for two minutes, Jiang Kexin replied that she would be there in a while. Seeing that the plan had succeeded, Ji Lin'an and I waited on the fourth floor for them to leave. Half an hour later, Zhu Chen and Jiang Kexin went out. Ji Lin'an and I used the Anywhere Door to get to the vicinity of Jinhao Hotel. Ji Lin'an told me to wait for him in the coffee shop upstairs. He went to the front desk to get a room and then came to the coffee shop to find me. Twenty minutes later, Ji Lin'an's phone rang. Jiang Kexin said, "We're in the lobby. Where should we look for you?"
Ji Lin'an picked up the room key and glanced at it: "Please wait for me in room 2302, sir. I'll bring the gift up right away."
Jiang Kexin asked, "Why do we have to pick it up in the room? Can't you deliver it to the lobby?"
Ji Lin'an said with a smile, "It's like this, Miss Jiang. We have a lot of gifts, and we need to introduce some of them to you, so we've temporarily set aside a room for the newlyweds to receive their gifts."
Jiang Kexin said "oh" and hung up the phone. Ji Lin'an took the room key and opened the door. He then led me to hide in a corner and watched Zhu Chen and Jiang Kexin enter the room before calling the police.
Ji Lin'an's tone turned serious: "Hello, I'm reporting that someone is engaging in prostitution in room 2302 of the Jinhao Hotel."
A minute later, Jiang Kexin called: "We've arrived, but we don't see any of you."
“Okay, Ms. Jiang, please wait a moment. We are checking the gifts and will be right there. A tour group will be coming upstairs soon, so it will be a bit noisy. You can close the door and wait.”
I looked at Ji Lin'an in front of me. Was this still the male god I knew? Why did he become so sly and mischievous?
I looked at the room key in Ji Lin'an's hand: "You used your ID card to book the room, what will happen if the police find out about it?"
Ji Lin'an chuckled: "By the time they find out who I am, the zombie outbreak will have already occurred, and no one will have time to investigate who the person who booked the room is."
I suddenly felt a pang of sadness: "We all knew that a zombie outbreak was about to occur, but we didn't tell anyone or let anyone take precautions. Don't you feel guilty?"
Ji Lin'an was silent for a minute: "Actually, in the first future vision after I gained the skill, I tried to warn others, but the end result was that I was treated as a lunatic. Nobody believed me, and they even thought I was crazy. Maybe some people wanted to believe it, but most people were unwilling to believe that their world was about to be destroyed. They preferred to live in their imagined beautiful world."
Ji Lin'an has never told me what happened in his future visions before he met me. I asked him once, but he refused to tell me. Perhaps in his future visions, just as he said, he tried to help others, but all he got in return was misunderstanding. This seems to be the reason why I don't want to tell anyone. I'm worried that people will think I'm crazy. Once I'm misunderstood, I'll feel that my behavior is ridiculous. In fact, no one is wrong. The fault may lie in the fact that this world makes people more and more indifferent. Saints usually don't live long.
After waiting for more than ten minutes, the police arrived. From a distance, we could hear an argument coming from inside the room. Ji Lin'an's phone kept vibrating. Ji Lin'an led me to the hotel's emergency exit and answered the phone. It was Zhu Chen's voice on the other end of the line: "Officer, he answered the phone. Ask him what's going on yourself."
