"Liu Lieyu, didn't you sense anything strange just now?" As we approached Guixu, I couldn't help but ask Liu Lieyu.

"What strange place?" A shrill voice rang out from above me. This wasn't Liu Lieyu's voice!

A strong sense of unease gripped my heart, forcing me to look up at Liu Lieyu's face. A strange, deathly pale face appeared before me, with a large, crimson mouth and bloodshot eyes staring at me like a dead fish.

"Ah ...

"Xin'er, Xin'er, it's me." A familiar voice came from the person in front of him, and the unfamiliar face transformed back into Liu Lieyu's appearance.

"Liu Lieyu?!"

“Yeah, I was just trying to scare you. I didn’t expect you to react so strongly. You’ve had your memories back for so long, why are you still afraid of these things?” Liu Lieyu patted my back to help me catch my breath, his tone quite helpless.

I punched Liu Lieyu hard and yelled, "You scared me to death!"

"Hey, don't you think about it? Who can take you away from me these days?" Liu Lieyu grabbed my hand that was hitting him.

My heart is still pounding. I feel like I've escaped a disaster. I was really scared to death just now. If it weren't for the inexplicable evil aura around the Liu residence, I wouldn't have reacted so strongly.

"Liu Lieyu, don't you feel that something is amiss at the Liu residence tonight?"

“Unusual?” Liu Lieyu shook his head. “No, not at all.”

I clutched my heart, which had finally calmed down, and said, "I just sensed a powerful malevolent aura and an ominous feeling emanating from the Liu residence, and it kept spreading. It looks like it could spread throughout the entire Changbai Mountain."

"So, you insisted on leaving just now?"

I nodded.

Liu Lieyu's narrow eyes revealed a hint of interest. "I want to see who dares to play tricks on me." After saying that, Liu Lieyu stopped walking towards the Ruins and turned to head towards Changbai Mountain again.

"No, I'm not going!" I quickly pulled Liu Lieyu away. "If you want to go, you go by yourself. You take me back first."

I really don't want to go. There's a high chance they're after me. Although Liu Lieyu is very strong, I don't want to be like Wu Song, who knowingly walked into danger.

"So timid?" Liu Lieyu teased.

"I'm not going anyway."

"Alright." Liu Lieyu stopped turning around. "Then I won't go. Let's go back to the market."

"Hmm." I nodded, lowering my eyes in deep thought. Are there any forces in this world that I don't know about?

"Don't worry," Liu Lieyu said, trying to comfort me when he saw that I was still anxious. "I'll go check on it again tomorrow and give you an explanation. Don't worry."

I could only nod, but I was even more agitated. One problem hadn't been solved yet, and now there was another one.

As soon as Liu Lieyu and I arrived at Guixu, we went back to my room. Zifeng and the others were waiting at the door, and they all bowed to us when they saw us return.

However, there was one more person in the crowd: Fei Yan.

I lowered my eyes to hide my emotions, thinking to myself, "I never expected that she would come to me on her own when I didn't even look for her."

"Donghuang." Fei Yan stepped forward and, after greeting Liu Lieyu, prepared to stand up and report something.

I quickly and secretly pinched Liu Lieyu with my hand. Liu Lieyu turned to look at me, and I gestured with my eyes to indicate the content of today's conversation.

Liu Lieyu paused for a moment, then nodded and whispered in her ear, "Isn't it inappropriate to say these things in public? I'll talk to her privately."

I snorted, crossed my arms, and said with obvious dissatisfaction, "Of course, whatever Lord Donghuang says goes."
