"Are you angry?" Liu Lieyu leaned closer and stared at my face, a smile playing at the corners of his eyes.

"No," I mumbled, then turned my head away from him.

Liu Lieyu took my hand and turned to Fei Yan, saying, "Fei Yan, come with me."

"yes."

Liu Lieyu whispered in my ear, "I'll go talk to her now and tell her not to be angry."

After Liu Lieyu finished speaking, he turned and left. Fei Yan naturally followed behind him. Before leaving, Fei Yan gave me a strange look.

I have no idea what Liu Lieyu and Fei Yan said, nor do I know if Fei Yan had any unusual reaction afterwards.

I was restless in my room. I wished I had a mirror so I could see what Liu Lieyu and Fei Yan were talking about.

Familiar footsteps suddenly came from outside the door. I quickly got up and walked to the door, but then felt it was too deliberate, so I slowed down and jogged to the bedside and lay down casually.

"You're back?" As soon as the door opened, I turned to greet Liu Lieyu.

"Hmm." Liu Lieyu nodded, his crimson lips slightly pursed, looking rather unhappy.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?"

"It's alright, I've already talked to Fei Yan." Liu Lieyu shook his head and put on a smiling face.

"Did Fei Yan say anything?" My hands unconsciously gripped the bed sheet, and I felt a little uneasy. This was the first time I had done something wrong. If my plan succeeded, I couldn't imagine what the consequences would be if Liu Lieyu found out about Fei Yan one day.

“She didn’t say anything.” Liu Lieyu sat on the edge of the bed and bent down to take off his shoes and socks.

Does this mean I've succeeded in the first step?

After Liu Lieyu finished undressing, he turned to look at me and, noticing that I was still deep in thought, said, "If you're still worried, I'll find a good young man to betroth to Fei Yan another day."

"No," I quickly refused.

"Hmm?" Liu Lieyu's eyes flashed with confusion when he saw that I refused without even thinking.

I chuckled awkwardly and explained, "Your casual attitude isn't good for Fei Yan, and Fei Yan might not even like the person you're pointing her to."

Liu Lieyu lay down next to me, propping his head up with his hand, and smiled with a hint of wickedness. "So what if she doesn't like it? Just relax."

A sudden lump formed in my throat, for myself and for Fei Yan.

If Liu Lieyu could give me up and be with Fei Yan, I wouldn't have had to resort to this desperate measure.

For a moment, I wavered, wondering if I had been too cruel to Fei Yan.

"Let nature take its course." I lowered my eyes, and the room suddenly fell silent; no one spoke.

I looked up at Liu Lieyu and happened to see his scrutinizing gaze. I quickly added, "I'm not a petty person."

Liu Lieyu smiled and reached out to play with my hair. "I'm happy that you're jealous and unhappy. I thought you really didn't care about me at all."

I really don't care about you at all, but of course, I can only say that to myself.

I pulled the blanket over my head and said, "I'm going to sleep."

"Go to sleep." Liu Lieyu, true to his Snake zodiac sign, immediately slipped into my bed and held me tightly in his arms.

"It's a pity your hair is still tied up." Liu Lieyu sighed as he touched my fingertips.

Luckily, it hasn't been untied yet, otherwise I would be in danger.

I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep, ignoring Liu Lieyu's mutterings.

With my hair wrapped around him, Liu Lieyu could only obediently hold me and sleep.
