Sixty-six

"Hao, Jinyu, we're going to Sun and Moon City. Pack your things and get ready to leave."

Hao and Jinyu looked at each other, and Hao scratched his cute little head and asked in a childish voice, "What are you packing?"

It then dawned on me that they were not ordinary people but demons with magical powers, so they wouldn't have large bags and small packages like ordinary people. Hao left the miasma forest in a very decisive manner, and even if they did have something, they kept it close to their bodies.

"Let's go then. Jinyu, is there anything you need to hand over to the landlord?"

Jin Yu stood up, dusted herself off, and said, "No need, I've already paid all my points. He'll understand when he sees we're not here."

I nodded. "Then let's set off."

Hao tugged at my sleeve, "Is Sun and Moon City fun?"

"That's fun! Sun and Moon City is the most bustling place." I squatted down and pinched Hao's chubby little face. Seeing Hao's adorable appearance always puts me in a good mood.

Cute things always bring joy to people.

The city walls of Lingcheng were right in front of me. I stood there, glanced back at the direction of the city lord's mansion, and slowly walked out of Lingcheng. This parting might be the last time we ever meet.

My dear daughter, may you find a good man in the future and believe in love again. Lord Man, I thought of that old man who loved his daughter so much. A smile appeared on my lips. I knew that Lord Man's greatest wish was for my daughter to have a good home. He was just like an ordinary parent in the mortal world urging their children to get married.

Just outside Lingcheng, I saw a caravan with the character "Qing" clearly written on its flags. These must be the people from Yuejiao.

Just then, a clever-looking little demon stepped forward and said, "You must be Young Master You, please."

I nodded and followed the little demon into an exceptionally luxurious carriage. The animal pulling the carriage was not a horse, but a giant monster that I did not recognize.

The interior space was enormous, accommodating about ten people. Blankets, snacks, tea, and backrests were all provided. After we all boarded the carriage, there was still plenty of room. We all chose a comfortable spot to lie down or sit. Only Luo looked around carefully, examining the layout before finding a corner to sit quietly and close his eyes to rest.

"Are you seated?" A man's voice came from outside the car.

"alright."

"Alright." As soon as the man finished speaking, the carriage slowly started moving.

The carriage was smooth and stable, and I fell asleep while lying down, yawning.

When I woke up, I found that everyone in the car was asleep, except for Luo, who was awake looking out the window at everything.

"Luo, have you been awake all this time?" I asked in a low voice.

"I took a nap."

I nodded and looked out the window. It was still all foggy outside. As I was looking out, I noticed the convoy slowly came to a stop.

I was a little confused when that familiar voice came from outside the carriage again, "It's time to eat, are you going to eat?"

That's when I realized that while eating wasn't a necessity for people like me and Feng Su Luo, who were at a certain level of cultivation, it was still necessary for some of the lesser demons in the group who weren't very skilled. They were doing a lot of physical labor, which was extremely taxing on their energy.

"Eat." When I heard there was food to eat, even though I didn't need it, I still wanted to look at it and try it. My love for food has never changed.

"Luo, are you going?"

Luo shook his head.

I glanced at Feng Su and Hao; they were sleeping soundly, and I couldn't bear to disturb them. In the end, I was the only one who got off the carriage to eat, and I felt a little embarrassed.
