"That kid inside must be dead, right? He's not making a sound. Did he get bitten to death? This is so boring. I wanted to hear him bark a couple of times!"
"One and a half minutes, you lost. Five cigarettes, and today you'll be cleaning the glass room inside, hehe." The guy who bet I could only live for two minutes laughed smugly.
"Hmph, consider this a loss I deliberately made to you. Here, it's just five cigarettes." Another soldier unhappily took out five cigarettes from his pocket and handed them to the other man.
"Thanks, you can do it yourself from now on. I'm going to go for a smoke."

The other person cursed from outside, pressed the switch next to the glass room, and music started playing from both glass rooms. Obviously, this was to lure the still-movable monster into the glass rooms on both sides and lock it up for future use.
I was lying on top of a pile of corpses, very close to the door of the glass room; I could get there with just a turn.
After all the surviving monsters had gathered in the glass rooms on either side, the guy outside didn't open the door immediately. Instead, he waited for a long time and muttered to himself, "Looks like this room is full of dead things. What a hassle, there's even a need to clean it up!"
I heard the other person's helpless words, and a moment later I heard them open the door.
I gripped the half-rib in my hand, waiting for my chance to strike.
