Chapter 58 What were you doing just now?
Lin Xi didn't even know how she ended up in bed; the person on top of her was so heavy that she couldn't breathe.
Song Xu was still very hot, and his breath was even hotter. Lin Xi was covered in sweat and felt very uncomfortable.
Her arms were still wrapped around Song Xu's neck, Song Xu's head was resting on her shoulder, his eyes were closed, and his breathing was long and even, not like he was pretending to be asleep.
"President Song... if you continue to suppress me... I won't care about you anymore..." Lin Xi said, panting heavily, without caring whether Song Xu could hear her or not.
Song Xu didn't react, so Lin Xi tried to push him with her hand. She hadn't had much hope, as she was already feeling how heavy Song Xu was, but to her surprise, she was able to move him.
Song Xu rolled over to the other side of the bed, taking off his pajamas as he rolled around.
Lin Xi got out of bed, stood by the bed with her hands on her hips, and looked at Song Xu, who was still unconscious.
After staring at it for a while, she snorted and turned to leave the room.
Song Xu slowly opened his eyes, which were bloodshot. His lips curled up slightly. He was exhausted, and his arms and legs felt heavy, as if they were tied with sandbags.
He had just used all his strength and could only lie flat now. He didn't know if that stinky rock would come back and bother him again.
Ten minutes later, Lin Xi came in carrying a bowl of porridge and a plate of cold dishes, and saw that Song Xu was still lying on the bed in the same position.
She frowned. Could it be that he wasn't faking it just now?
She put down what she was holding and touched Song Xu's forehead. He was sweating, and his temperature was still high. He would have to take fever-reducing medicine again that night.
"Lin Xi?" Song Xu's eyes were half-open, his voice hoarse. "What are you doing in my room?"
“You have a fever and are unconscious,” Lin Xi propped Song Xu’s head up with two pillows and pulled out a thin blanket to cover him. “I gave you two fever-reducing pills, and your temperature has gone down a bit, but you’re still very hot.”
She poured a glass of warm water and handed it to Song Xu, saying, "Drink some water first."
Song Xu was very thirsty, his throat was parched. He stared at the water glass, raised one hand to take it, but before he could touch the glass, his arm fell back onto the bed.
"I'm too weak," he said weakly, looking at Lin Xi. "Can you feed me?"
Lin Xi glanced at him and saw the word "wronged" on his face. What was there to be wronged about? Was it because he was thirsty?
She had indeed forgotten to give him water, so she sat on the edge of the bed and fed Song Xu water spoonful by spoonful.
Song Xu was really thirsty and drank three whole glasses of water before he told Lin Xi to stop. Lin Xi's arm was sore from thirst.
"I'm hungry." After drinking three glasses of water, Song Xu felt like his health bar had recovered by half.
Lin Xi put down her water glass, picked up her rice bowl, scooped a spoonful of porridge, and instead of feeding him, tentatively asked, "President Song, can you eat by yourself?"
"No." Song Xu answered decisively without even trying.
A spoonful of plain porridge was stuffed into Song Xu's mouth, tinged with resentment.
The white porridge tasted sweet, and Song Xu looked at Lin Xi with a smile in his eyes.
Lin Xi's gaze kept shifting between the white porridge and Song Xu's mouth, occasionally feeding him a small side dish.
Song Xu thought this was the most delicious porridge he had ever eaten.
"President Song," Lin Xi said, remembering her own business, and taking this opportunity to bring it up, "Could we sign a contract later?"
"What kind of contract?" Song Xu frowned.
“I’ll help you sell your secondhand stuff,” Lin Xi said with a smile, feeding Song Xu a spoonful of porridge. “Can I authorize you to sell your worn socks, handkerchiefs, masks, and the like?”
"Worn socks?" Song Xu frowned even more. "Are you kidding me?"
Lin Xi shook her head, "They are sold after being washed clean."
Song Xu squinted. He was just a little dazed, but not confused. "You're not going to sell my worn underwear again, are you?"
Lin Xi blinked guiltily. She had only had that thought. "Cough, I'm not that perverted."
“Lin Xi,” Song Xu’s eyes sharpened, “You’re a law student, you should use your brain more before you do things. What are the purposes of people who buy underwear? Is it illegal?”
Lin Xi was stunned. She had only thought about making money and hadn't thought about it in depth. Song Xu's reminder was a wake-up call for her, making her much more aware of the situation.
"I understand now. People who can afford this kind of thing are pretty weirdos." Lin Xi realized her mistake and softened her attitude towards Song Xu.
"Then I won't sell you your underwear, I'll just sell you some coats, shoes and accessories."
Song Xu hummed in satisfaction, "I'm still hungry."
"Then I'll go get another bowl of porridge." Lin Xi picked up the bowl, got up, and went out.
Song Xu reached for his phone and opened it to find countless messages and missed calls, most of which were from his mother.
Oh no, he silenced his phone. He'd missed so many calls; his mom was probably going to explode.
He quickly replied with a message saying that he hadn't slept all night and had put his phone on silent while catching up on sleep during the day.
He had just finished replying to the message when he heard Lin Xi's footsteps approaching. He quickly threw his phone back where it was and lay down again.
Lin Xi sat back down on the edge of the bed. "President Song, this bowl of porridge is still a little hot. We need to eat it slowly."
Song Xu blinked.
Lin Xi scooped up a spoonful of steaming porridge, blew on it to cool it down, and then fed it to Song Xu's lips.
Song Xu opened his mouth, and a spoonful of steaming porridge went into his mouth.
"Pfft!" Song Xu spat out half of the porridge, his face contorted in pain. "It's so hot!"
Lin Xi quickly put down the bowl, found a tissue to wipe Song Xu's mouth, and said, "I'm sorry, I didn't know it would be so hot. Are you alright?"
"My chest feels hot." Song Xu swallowed the rest of the porridge in his mouth and stuck out his tongue.
Lin Xi bent down to help Song Xu clean up the porridge he had vomited. After wiping it away with a tissue, she took a warm, damp towel and wiped Song Xu's face to cool him down.
Then wipe down the neck, all the way to the abs.
Song Xu secretly clenched his fist and slowly propped his legs up.
"Alright, this is clean and cools you down," Lin Xi straightened up and exhaled. "President Song, would you like to do it again?"
Lin Xi didn't get a reply from Song Xu, but she heard someone gasp behind her. Startled, she turned around and saw Song Chen and a gorgeously dressed middle-aged woman.
Song Xu looked up and paused for a moment when he saw who it was. "Mom, what brings you here?"
Xu Wantang ignored Song Xu and stared at Lin Xi with surprise in her eyes, "Who are you?"
Lin Xi was still holding a wet towel. She had heard what Song Xu had just shouted and knew the lady's identity. She nodded slightly and said respectfully, "Hello, Mrs. Song. I am the live-in nanny hired by Mr. Song. My name is Lin Xi."
"A nanny?" Xu Wantang looked at Lin Xi, then at the naked Song Xu. "What were you doing just now?"
