Chapter 122 He really deserves to die
Lin Xi was released from the police station.
The four of them returned to Song Xu's apartment together.
"Explain yourself clearly," Song Chen said sternly to Song Xu and Lin Xi. "Why weren't you told about all the things that happened before?"
“Brother, when Xixi was harassed by Li Sheng at the school gate, you were away on a business trip and not in Jiangbei. I contacted another lawyer from your firm,” Song Xu explained.
"As for the time when Xixi was drugged, I was in a hurry to take Xixi to the hospital and forgot to call the police."
"Drugated?" Song Chen frowned. "What kind of drug?"
Song Xu then realized he had let something slip, but the words were already out and couldn't be taken back: "It's the kind of medicine you're thinking of."
"What!" Bai Tiantian exclaimed in shock. She looked at Lin Xi in disbelief. "Xi Xi, Li Sheng actually dared to drug you. He deserves to die. Luckily, he's dead."
Song Chen narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze towards Song Xu carrying a meaningful meaning.
"Xiao Xu, come with me." Song Chen got up and walked towards his room.
Song Xu looked serious and stood up to follow behind Song Chen.
Lin Xi nervously grabbed Song Xu's arm, "Song Xu..."
“It’s okay,” Song Xu patted her hand, “He’s my brother.”
Lin Xi let go of his hand and sat helplessly on the sofa, her eyes vacant. Song Chen was indeed Song Xu's brother, but he was also a lawyer and a law teacher.
Faced with such a crucial question, how should one choose?
"Xi Xi," Bai Tiantian put her arm around Lin Xi's shoulder, "Are you nervous?"

Lin Xi turned to look at Bai Tiantian, her eyes showing surprise.
Bai Tiantian smiled at her and shrugged, "Don't look at me like that, I was just saying it casually."
Song Chen and Song Xu talked for a full half hour before finally coming out of the room.
"Lin Xi, you shouldn't go to school for a while," Song Chen said seriously. "You can go out after this case is resolved. Anyway, it's almost a long holiday, so missing a couple of days of school won't have much of an impact on you."
"Okay." Lin Xi didn't want to go out either; she was afraid of being watched.
“There must be someone behind this,” Song Xu said. “Xi Xi, don’t worry, we will find out the truth. Just leave it to us.”
Song Chen pulled Bai Tiantian up, "I'll take you home first."
Bai Tiantian refused, saying, "How about I stay and keep Xixi company? She'll be scared if she's alone."
Lin Xi also wanted Bai Tiantian to stay, so that she could relax a bit with someone to talk to.
"Don't you feel uncomfortable staying here?" Song Chen looked at her with his arms crossed, how could she be so shameless.
"Of course I feel uncomfortable being a third wheel," Bai Tiantian said, grabbing Song Chen's strong arms with both hands. "Why don't you join me?"
"Brother, why don't you let Bai Tiantian stay?" Song Xu was worried about Lin Xi being home alone. With Bai Tiantian keeping her company, Lin Xi would be less likely to overthink things.
"Alright then," Song Chen agreed.
Bai Tiantian felt that something was not quite right. Why should she listen to Song Chen? Couldn't she make this decision herself?
Song Xu and Song Chen left, leaving Lin Xi and Bai Tiantian behind.
"Xi Xi, which room do you stay in?" Bai Tiantian was curious about Lin Xi's daily life since it was her first time here. "Do you sleep with Song Xu?"
“No,” Lin Xi said, pulling Bai Tiantian to her room. “I’m staying in this room. Song Xu’s room is across the street. Our relationship is completely innocent.”
"Tsk tsk tsk," Bai Tiantian clicked her tongue, "Song Xu couldn't even win you over when you were so close. He's such a noob."
"Sweetie, don't talk nonsense. I'm just his nanny right now," Lin Xi explained, blushing. "We haven't officially started dating yet."
"You two haven't officially started dating? Are you kidding me?" Bai Tiantian looked surprised and disgusted. "When you two are together, you're just spewing dog food at me like an onlooker, and it never stops. How could you not be officially dating?"
“You two kissed in public,” Bai Tiantian leaned closer to Lin Xi. “From what I observed, Song Xu even stuck out his tongue.”
“Nonsense,” Lin Xi’s face grew redder and redder, “How could you possibly see it from that far away?”
"Hahaha," Bai Tiantian laughed, and touched Lin Xi's face. "I was just joking, why are you blushing? I must have guessed right."
Lin Xi pinned Bai Tiantian to the bed and tickled her, saying, "I'll teach you to talk nonsense."
"Hahaha..." Bai Tiantian had many ticklish spots on her body, and she would laugh nonstop if touched. "I was wrong, Xixi, have mercy."
The two rolled around on the bed.
Tired from all the commotion, Lin Xiping lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling. "Sweetie, what do you think Song Xu and Brother Chen went to do?"
Bai Tiantian propped her head up with her elbow, her expression turning serious. "I guess they're trying to find out who's behind this."
“It’s easy to dodge a spear in the open, but hard to guard against an arrow in the dark. The Song family certainly can’t just sit and wait to die. They must find the person who shot this arrow in the dark.”
Bai Tiantian glanced at Lin Xi as she said this, "Actually, Xixi, you don't need to be too nervous. Whether Li Sheng lives or dies, nobody cares. It's easy to settle this case."
"Easy?" Lin Xi looked at Bai Tiantian in confusion.
"You know, Li Sheng's family has been dead for a while now. It was clearly judged as a traffic accident, so why is it suddenly being turned into a criminal case today?" Bai Tiantian winked at Lin Xi.
Lin Xi shook her head; she still didn't understand.

Lin Xi seemed to understand. She blinked and asked, "Are Song Xu and the others strong enough?"
“That’s enough. At least in Jiangbei City, there are very few who can rival them,” Bai Tiantian reassured her. “If all else fails, they can always find help.”
"Alright, just keep this to yourself," Bai Tiantian sat up. "Xixi, what are we having for dinner tonight? How about you teach me how to cook?"
Lin Xi nodded. "What do you want to learn?"
"I'll learn whatever Teacher Song likes to eat." Bai Tiantian smiled knowingly at Lin Xi.
