"I didn't!" Lin Xi felt frustrated and followed Song Xu into the car with her head down.
Song Xu fastened his seatbelt, turned to look at Lin Xi, and seeing her sullen expression, asked, "How much did the treat cost?"
“One hundred,” Lin Xi said, her eyes lowered.
"Do you have enough money? Do you need me to overdraft another month's salary for you?" Song Xu asked, one hand on the steering wheel, looking at Lin Xi from the side.
“No need,” Lin Xi finally raised her head and looked at Song Xu in surprise. “Twenty thousand yuan is enough for me for two years. I can’t overdraft anymore. I have to pay you back as soon as possible.”
"Twenty thousand yuan for two years, including tuition?" Song Xu raised his eyebrows. He couldn't believe his ears. How could that be?

After putting the canvas bag back in her room, Lin Xi came out again. She was used to getting up early to clean, and she could clean everywhere else except Song Xu's room.
"Mr. Song, is it convenient for your room to be cleaned now?" Lin Xi asked as she walked into the living room.
Song Xu gave a curt "hmm".
Having received the answer, Lin Xi turned and left, entering Song Xu's room to begin cleaning.
She first tidied up the bathroom, picked up the clothes Song Xu had changed out of yesterday, threw the machine-washable ones into the washing machine, and put the non-machine-washable ones into bags to send to the dry cleaners.
There was also a small washing machine in the bathroom specifically for washing underwear. Song Xu didn't care about his other clothes, but he always threw his underwear into the small washing machine with its own dryer.
This made Lin Xi think that Song Xu was quite considerate and a normal man, as he didn't force her to wash her underwear.
Lin Xi came out of the bathroom and saw Song Xu there, looking at documents on his computer at his desk.

Song Xu requested that the clothes be changed every three days, and today is the third day.
Changing the bedding was hard work, and Lin Xi was soon panting.
Hearing the sound, Song Xu turned to look at her and saw Lin Xi with a slightly flushed face, trying her best to blend the duvet cover and the quilt together.

"Mr. Song, how about you stand somewhere else?" Lin Xi looked up at Song Xu while holding the floor scrubber. She was just one spot left to scrub the floor under Song Xu's feet.
Song Xu moved. He sat on the sofa, his face not looking too good. Being ignored was not a pleasant feeling.
"Have you taken care of everything at school?" Song Xu asked before Lin Xi left, trying to stop her.
Lin Xi stopped and turned to Song Xu. "Everything has been taken care of. I've applied for day student status, been exempted from military training, and the teachers have even recommended me to speak on behalf of the new students at the reporting ceremony."
"Can you write a speech?" Song Xu asked.
Lin Xi shook her head. "I need to look at a few sample articles."
Song Xu hummed in agreement. "I'll send you my speech from last year in a bit."
Lin Xi gleaned two pieces of information from this statement: first, Song Xu was only a sophomore this year; and second, he was last year's freshman representative.
"Thank you, Mr. Song. I'll head out now."
Lin Xi walked to the door, then remembered something and came back. "President Song, I have another question to ask."
"Ask!" Song Xu crossed his legs and looked at Lin Xi.
"It's about Li Sheng," Lin Xi said, feeling nauseous at the mention of his name, "He..."
"Who is Li Sheng?" Song Xu asked in confusion.
“It’s the man who was detained by the police today,” Lin Xi explained.
"Oh, him?" Song Xu didn't take Li Sheng seriously at all, and had no intention of remembering his name. "You want to ask me why I released him from the police station so quickly?"
Lin Xi nodded, a hint of hatred flashing in her eyes. "My grandmother was hospitalized because of their family. I don't want to let them get away with this."
"How did you get involved with him?" Song Xu wanted to get to the bottom of things and find out if anything had happened between Lin Xi and that man named Li Sheng.
“Before, I rarely saw him because I was at school, and I didn’t have much contact with his family,” Lin Xi sighed heavily. “But after I finished working here for the first time and went back home, Li Sheng started pestering me…”
Lin Xi recounted to Song Xu everything that had happened to the Li family during this period.
