Chapter 64

"Erhu, go! Pick it up!" Neighbor Pang Dahai threw the branch he was holding a distance away, telling Erhu to retrieve it.

"Erhu, sit down! You're not allowed to eat until I say it's time to eat." Pang Dahai slapped Erhu on the mouth, making him sit down again, where he could only stare longingly at the cornmeal in the bowl.

"Sisi, what are you doing? Aren't you tired of sitting there in the sun?" Mei Liang saw his younger sister sitting on the woodpile as soon as he entered the yard.

“Learning.” Mei Si stared intently at the enormous sea training dog, afraid of missing anything.

"Huh? Studying?" Mei Liang scratched his head, not understanding what sunbathing had to do with studying.

Mei Liang shook his head, turned around and went inside. He had come back to get a drink of water, and after that he was going out to play, so he didn't have time to deal with his sister for the time being.

Mei Si spent the whole day under the scorching sun and finally figured out Pang Dahai's dog training method. That evening, Mei Si organized her thoughts and decided to start training the next day.

The next morning, Mei Si took Mei Jian out after breakfast, and they made a point of going to places with lots of women along the way.

Then……

"Hug me! Hug me!" Mei Jian saw the pretty older sister and let go of Mei Si's hand, wanting to go over and ask for a hug, but he suddenly realized that he couldn't get over there.

Mei Jian turned his head and saw that his sister had grabbed the back of his collar. Mei Jian twisted his body back and forth, trying to get his sister to let go, but it was no use.

Mei Jian watched helplessly as one beautiful woman after another passed by him, his lips pouting higher and higher, tears quickly welling up in his eyes.

"Waaaaah...I want a hug~!" Mei Jian stretched out his hands, watching the last pretty lady disappear around the corner, and finally shed sad tears.

Throughout the summer vacation, Mei Si took Mei Jian to the intersection every day to watch the pretty women go to and from get off work. Mei Jian went from being excited and crying at the beginning to becoming numb at the end.

Mei Si's training was successful. Although Mei Jian's eyes would still light up when he saw a pretty woman, he would no longer approach her.

Mei Jian would silently stare intently at the pretty woman until she disappeared from sight.

Pretty ladies: What's wrong with that kid? Why is he staring at us like that? It's creepy!

Once Mei Si was certain that her younger brother's habit of asking to be hugged had been corrected, she went home to school with peace of mind.

When the new semester started, Mei Liang no longer went to school with Mei Si, because Mei Liang's junior high school was in another direction.

Mei Liang, Xu Aiguo, and Zhang Yuanchao attended the same junior high school, and the three of them agreed to walk together every day.

A week after school started, Mei Liang and his two friends were blocked in the alley behind the school when they were on their way home.

"What are you trying to do?" Xu Aiguo asked excitedly.

"Heh! What are you doing? Are you blind? Our boss wants you to join us and you dare to disagree. Now you're going to get a beating!" Qu Jia'an stood next to the boss, Li Xiang, and glared at Zhang Yuanchao.

Zhang Yuanchao has grown taller in the past two years and is already a head taller than Xu Aiguo and Mei Liang. He also insists on practicing horse stance every day, so he has become very strong.

When school started, Zhang Yuanchao caught Li Xiang's eye as soon as he entered the school. Li Xiang thought that this kid was strong and could intimidate a lot of people just by standing there.

But Zhang Yuanchao refused, because he disliked Li Xiang and his friends' behavior of bullying honest classmates.

"Who is he talking to?" Mei Liang was puzzled. He didn't recognize any of these people. Had they mistaken him for someone else?

"Who cares who he is, as long as there's a fight." Xu Aiguo threw his schoolbag on the ground, got into position, and was ready to rush in at any moment.

“They were talking about me. A few days ago, they contacted me privately, wanting me to join them.”

Zhang Yuanchao explained.

Zhang Yuanchao, Mei Liang, and Xu Aiguo were not in the same class. Those people came to find him during break time, so Mei Liang and Xu Aiguo were unaware of it.

"Huh? Why didn't you tell us? Why did you get the call?" Xu Aiguo was unhappy, feeling that these people were really blind for not coming to him.

"I didn't take it seriously, who knew they would actually come to ambush me." Zhang Yuanchao was somewhat speechless. He only refused to join them, was it really necessary to come and ambush him?

"Who told you to be so short?" Mei Liang said, pointing to Xu Aiguo's height, who was even shorter than him.

Being short was a sore point for Xu Aiguo. He could accept that Zhang Yuanchao was taller than him, who was the same age as him, but he was a year older than Mei Liang! Why was Mei Liang also taller than him?

"What are you whispering about? Be serious! Do you really think we won't take action? Zhang Yuanchao, this is your last chance. Are you going to follow our boss or not?" A henchman stepped forward and pointed at Zhang Yuanchao.

“I’ve said it before, I don’t want to join you. It’s not right for you to force me like this,” Zhang Yuanchao said, looking at Li Xiang.

Li Xiang frowned. He hadn't expected that even though he had brought his men to ambush him, the guy wouldn't join them. This kid had guts! He had to beat him until he agreed; this kid would be his most loyal follower.

"Go!" Li Xiang waved his hand, signaling his henchmen to take action.

Xu Aiguo had been wanting to make a move for a long time, and when he saw the other party rushing over, he was the first to charge forward.

Li Xiang turned his back with an air of superiority, and smiled as he listened to the wails behind him.

Li Xiang: But this voice sounds somewhat familiar...?

Li Xiang realized something was wrong and quickly turned around. He was shocked to find that all his underlings were clutching their groins and lying on the ground.

Mei Liang and his two companions walked past Li Xiang with an air of nonchalance.

"I'm not joining you, and don't bother me anymore. Let's keep to ourselves." Zhang Yuanchao said this as he passed by Li Xiang.

Li Xiang felt quite embarrassed, so he forbade his underlings from talking about what happened today.

Although the younger members stopped spreading the word, the matter was seen by others, and soon, everyone in the school, whether they should know or not, knew.

Mei Liang and his two friends became famous. Their classmates thought they were awesome and even gave them a nickname – the "Three Heroes of Kicking Eggs"!
