If you were to ask college students to choose the group activity they consider the most time-consuming, probably 99% would choose class meetings.
Because class meetings are both boring and lengthy, and the so-called programs are not interesting at all, they are nothing more than a few songs and dances, or a few crude skits learned from the Internet. They make people feel "life is meaningless" and are not even good enough to kill time. If it weren't for the counselor frequently having to talk about things during class meetings, many students would probably skip them like an elective course.
Because of a class meeting tonight, Duanmu Ci can't leave work at the usual time today.
He had dinner at Louis Restaurant, and then went to the Foreign Languages Institute to kill time with Wei Yue.

University students usually live in school dormitories, so they arrive quickly. The occasional latecomer or absentee is not a big deal. Duanmu Ci glanced at them and knew roughly what was going on.
Duanmu Ci took a sip of water to moisten his throat. "I just heard that the arts festival and sports meet will be held as scheduled this summer. Our Changsheng Society gathers most of the arts and sports clubs at Haishan University, so we should do something!"
Xu Chuncheng, the head of the sailing club, was a little frustrated. "The sports meet at Haishan University isn't about sailing or rowing, so there's no place for our sailing club to shine. Let's just watch the other guys perform."
Duanmu Ci glanced over lightly, "Don't think you can relax just because your sailing club isn't involved. The Harvard sailing team will be crossing the Pacific to challenge you soon. Let's see if you can afford to lose!"
Duanmu Ci took the sailing club very seriously. He not only upgraded their equipment but also used his connections at the RAR Club to bring in top domestic coaches – a considerable sum! He even explained some of the Harvard sailing team's tactics in writing. If they still lost after all that, Duanmu Ci wouldn't say anything, but they themselves would be too ashamed to continue playing!
Qi Yingbai, the head of the ski department, sneered, "Tsk tsk, I heard that the opponent is a master who can swim across the Great Lakes and has defeated Oxford University on the Thames. I wonder if he can withstand it. You know, the competition venue is right here on the beach at the entrance. If he loses in front of everyone... he'll probably have to commit seppuku."
