So all these people are here to help Chen Qiuling find a husband?
"I really don't know where Bai Dalin is!" Bai Nuo said calmly. "Move aside, I'm going out! Everyone, please disperse. We don't have the person you're looking for here, so don't come here to watch the show." With that, Bai Nuo turned around and tried to go back into the carriage, but what happened next was unexpected.
"You're not allowed to leave!" Chen Qiuling shouted, spreading her arms to block Bai Nuo. "If you don't give Bai Dalin back to me, I'll die right in front of you!"
She glared at Bai Nuo, her eyes seemingly venomous. "You bitch, Bai Dalin is still your biological father. How could you treat him like this? Aren't you afraid of retribution?"
While blocking Bai Nuo, he looked at the village chief behind Bai Nuo and sneered, "Village chief, speak up! I invited you here to let you make decisions, not to watch a show. Do you intend to side with this patricide-killing bastard?"
Chen Qiuling's words became increasingly serious. At first, she was just saying that Bai Dalin had been locked up and hidden away, but now it had escalated to the issue of murder.
"What nonsense are you spouting?" Bai Nuo sneered. "You don't need to make things difficult for the village chief. Do you think I'm afraid of you just because you called the village chief?" Chen Qiuling's face gradually lost its composure, her eyes practically spitting fire. Just as Chen Qiuling was about to explode again, Bai Nuo said, "What a coincidence, since you called the village chief, I'm actually willing to give him face. Didn't you say Bai Dalin is with me? Fine, then let the village chief search him!"
Chen Qiuling gritted her teeth and said, "No, everyone has to go in and search! I don't believe you! If you're going to search, then everyone should go in and search!"
"Do what you want, or don't!" Bai Nuo said coolly. "Chen Qiuling, who do you think you are? Don't push your luck. If you're not going to search me, get out of here. I'm only letting you stay here because of the village chief. Otherwise, I would have kicked you out!"
"Alright, alright!" Seeing that the argument was about to break out again, the village chief stepped in to smooth things over. "I'll search by myself then. This place isn't that big. Qiuling, finding Dalin is the priority now. Don't get angry."
What has he been doing all day? The village chief couldn't help but feel resentful towards Bai Nuo. Whatever Bai Dalin was like, wasn't he still her biological father? He gave her life and raised her, and she treated him like this? So cruel!
"Bai Nuo, Da Lin is still your father, don't go too far!" The village chief thought to himself, and said this, "You're still young, you can still change, and I don't want to say anything to you, but if you grow up and your character is set, it will be very difficult to change!"
"Village Chief!" Bai Nuo knew that the village chief shared the same thought as Chen Qiuling, but it didn't matter. She didn't care what others thought. "You come in and look for him first. Bai Dalin isn't here. If I did it, I'll admit it. If I didn't, don't accuse me! Long Er, take the village chief in!"
Bai Nuo's gaze was open and honest, so the village chief didn't say anything more. He nodded and followed Long Er into the courtyard.
"You should come in too, so you won't say I lied to you!" Bai Nuo said calmly, standing beside the carriage and pulling back the curtain. "Make sure you see clearly, there's no one inside!"
"Of course I'll go in! You better not let me find Da Lin here, or I won't let you off the hook!" Chen Qiuling looked at the carriage with envy. This carriage was really nice. She had been with Da Lin for so long, and he had never bought her a carriage before.
Bai Nuo snorted coldly, undeniably saying, "Doesn't Grey Wolf say he wants to eat sheep every day? But has he actually eaten any?"
Chen Qiuling hurriedly followed the village chief. Chen Zhi saw his mother go in and wanted to go in too, but Bai Nuo stopped him, "Stop, you can't go in!"
"Why should I? I need to find someone!" Chen Zhi was furious as he watched his mother's figure disappear outside the door.
"No idlers or dogs allowed! I just cleaned this place, it's filthy!" Bai Nuo said calmly, refusing to let Chen Zhi in.
She would be disgusted if such a despicable person entered her home!
"How dare you call me a dog?" Chen Zhi roared, pointing to his own nose. "How dare you speak to me like that?"
"I never said you were a dog, you said it yourself!" Bai Nuo said calmly. He was like a dog, refusing to admit he was an idle person and insisting he was a dog; there was nothing anyone could do about it.
"Pfft!" Someone burst out laughing. Chen Zhi turned around angrily, but everyone who came was looking at them with serious expressions, so he couldn't find out who it was.
Turning back, Chen Zhi saw Bai Nuo staring coldly at him. He immediately wanted to hit her, raising his arm high, "You!"
Bai Nuo wasn't afraid at all, puffing out her chest. "You want to hit me? Let me tell you, with so many people here, if you lay a finger on me, I'll make you regret it!"
She vowed that if that idiot laid a single hair on her head, she would immediately have the three Long brothers tear down that shabby little house.
"Chen Zhi, you can't hit people! Hitting people is wrong!" said a villager who was watching the commotion.
"That's right, you can't hit people!"
"I'm not going to argue with you!" Chen Zhi's face turned pale and then red, and it was unclear what he was thinking. His raised hand finally became a single finger, pointing at Bai Nuo, and he said, "A good man doesn't fight with a woman!"
"Mother, how is it? Did you find it?" Half an hour finally passed as Bai Nuo and Chen Zhi stared at each other in disbelief. Chen Qiuling, the village chief, and Long Er finally appeared. As soon as they came out, Chen Zhi couldn't wait to go up to them.
