After seeing off the model, Bai Nuo welcomed Jiang Qiao'er.
"What's wrong?" Bai Nuo looked at the usually quiet girl and asked, perking up. "How's business at the fabric shop?"
Bai Nuo thought that San Niang's Cloth Shop should be doing well. Yesterday, someone saw her in San Niang's Cloth Shop, so they didn't buy anything. It was a target for her. But San Niang's Cloth Shop has been established in the town for so many years and has a very good reputation. There are many regular customers. Moreover, many people saw what happened when Jiang San Niang was beaten before, and they all sympathized with her. As long as she wasn't there, no one should care about this matter.
"It's alright!" Jiang Qiao'er explained her purpose succinctly. "I'm here to pick up the earrings! You can sell them at my place!"
"Sell it at your place?" Bai Nuo raised her voice, immediately thinking that this idea was feasible. Originally, the pearl necklace was sold at San Niang's Cloth Shop, so they could do the same thing now.
Why didn't she think of this problem before?
"I'll pack it up for you right now!" Bai Nuo's gloom vanished instantly. She went behind the counter, packed everything up, and then went back with Jiang Qiao'er herself.

"Miss..." At the Zhang family's house, Xiangming entered the inner room early in the morning and woke Zhang Jingwen up no matter what. "Miss, you have to accompany Madam to offer incense today, so get up early!"
Some people appear glamorous on the surface, but no one knows that they are actually quite miserable in private, even penniless, starving, and without proper clothing. Others appear gentle and refined, like pampered young ladies, but no one knows that they are actually irritable, willful, and disregard human life.
Zhang Jingwen is at least this type of person; she appears quiet and reserved in public, but behind closed doors, she has done countless dirty things.
Despite Zhang Jingwen's quiet and gentle appearance, she has a terrible flaw—she loves to sleep in. She needs someone to wake her up every day, and if no one wakes her, she can sleep from one night until the next.
Knowing Zhang Jingwen's personality, Xiangming Chicken was terrified. However, she knew that Zhang Jingwen was going to offer incense with her mother today, and if she was late, the madam would not let her off the hook. She would be caught between two bad sides, so Xiangming had no choice but to bite the bullet and go call Zhang Jingwen.
There was no sound from inside the room.
Xiangming was used to such things, so she went into the inner room and saw that the stools were all overturned, but Zhang Jingwen was not on the bed.
"Where is Miss?" Xiangming came out and asked the cleaning maid, "Has Miss gotten up yet?"
"Not yet!" the maid replied. "I came here to work early this morning, but I haven't seen Miss get up!"
"Could he have gone out? Don't you know?" Xiangming asked, still unwilling to give up.
The maid shook her head. "I've been here since early morning, and no one has come or gone."
Where did the young lady go?
Xiangming felt uneasy, but she couldn't quite put her finger on why. She just couldn't quite grasp the feeling, and for a moment she stood there motionless. Seeing that Xiangming was not moving, the maid couldn't help but ask, "Sister Xiangming, is Miss not here?"
Xiangming immediately said irritably, "If Miss isn't inside, where is she? Don't talk nonsense, or I'll slap you!" When the maid saw that Xiangming was fierce and looked eight-tenths like Zhang Jingwen, she immediately dared not speak and hurriedly buried her head in sweeping the floor.
Xiangming's unease grew stronger. She ignored the cleaning maids and hurriedly went out. She searched the mansion but couldn't find Zhang Jingwen.
By this time, the sun was rising higher and higher, and it was time to set off. Zhang Jingwen's mother had sent people to call her several times, saying that it was time to leave and that Zhang Jingwen should not dawdle any longer and delay the time. Seeing that there was no other way, Xiangming had no choice but to go to Zhang Wu.
When Zhang Wu saw Xiang Ming come to see him, he was quite surprised. "Why aren't you in Miss's room helping her prepare? What are you doing here?"
Xiangming cried out, "Miss is gone..."
"What do you mean by 'disappeared'?" Zhang Wu paused in his calligraphy practice, then said in a deep voice, "Explain yourself in detail!"
So Xiangming told him everything in detail.
"You idiot!" Zhang Wu slammed his pen on the desk and cursed, "Why didn't you say so sooner?"
"I thought Miss might have gone off to play somewhere, but I never imagined she would be missing!" Xiangming said, crying. Zhang Jingwen often kicked things, and it wasn't uncommon for her to overturn a stool. She also wandered around the mansion quite often, so Xiangming thought she would look for her herself and avoid being punished if she found her.
"Foolish thing!" Zhang Wu was furious. It was one thing for Zhang Jingwen to be so reckless all the time, but for the servants around her to be so inconsiderate as well. Seeing Xiangming kneeling on the ground crying, he felt a terrible headache coming on. He had no choice but to suppress his anger and said gently, "Miss may have secretly gone out without you. Don't make a fuss about this, and don't let the master and madam know. Go out and look for her first. I'll send a few people to search for her as well!"
Xiangming got up from the ground. Seeing that Zhang Wu had taken care of the matter, she felt much relieved. She quickly wiped away her tears, curtsied, and said, "This servant will go to the places where Miss often goes to look for her..." before leaving in front of Zhang Wu.
After sending Xiangming away, Zhang Wu then secretly sent people out to look for her. While sending people out to search, he also went to his mother's place and asked her to stay with him.
