Bai Nuo nodded. She remembered that Hu Mingmei had told her a long time ago that the Zhang family was the first merchant to offer pearls as tribute. It wouldn't be difficult for them to get things into the palace and move their businesses into the capital.
After Zhang Wu finished speaking, he looked at Bai Nuo and Jiang San Niang with a smile, "Are you two planning to stay here permanently?"

Before they could finish their sentence, Zhang Wu shouted, "Watch out!" Then, Bai Nuo and Jiang San Niang were both pushed by Zhang Wu, moving them away from their previous positions.
The two nearly fell, but managed to steady themselves by grabbing onto a roadside stall and looking at Zhang Wu. They saw a carriage speeding past Zhang Wu, its sleeve caught in the carriage, and it carried him away.
If Zhang Wu hadn't pushed them both away, they would have been the ones being dragged along.
"Stop!" Bai Nuo and Jiang San Niang chased after them without a second thought.
