But now the trail has basically gone cold, unless...
“General Ross, could you provide me with the list of surviving soldiers who were in the lab? I need to speak with them in person,” Natasha said to General Ross, thinking of Wanda’s mind magic.
General Ross frowned: "What do you need that for? I trust my soldiers would never..."
"Don't forget, General Ross, S.H.I.E.L.D. shares your views on this matter. If I lied, I would be exposed soon." Natasha immediately interrupted General Ross, staring into his eyes with a fierce look. "The initial assessment is that the Hulk's blood has been taken away by a mysterious force. So now you have no choice but to cooperate with me, otherwise, if things get out of hand, even S.H.I.E.L.D. and you together won't be able to cover it up."
Wanda was nearby, and Natasha didn't spell it out too clearly, but she was confident that General Ross understood.
General Ross, recalling Betty's transformed appearance, finally nodded and turned to the officer beside him, saying, "Immediately compile a list of all the surviving soldiers who were in the lab at the time, and this matter is the priority above all other matters for now!"
Upon hearing the phrase "priority level," the officer's expression immediately turned serious: "Yes, sir."
The officer then immediately went to compile a list of surviving soldiers who had previously visited the laboratory.
In a building a few kilometers away from them, the atmosphere was equally somber.
"Gale, open a portal to my basement." Tony's energy reserves were already depleted.
Gel nodded, extended his right hand, and used chaos magic to open a portal next to Tony. Tony went inside, quickly donned a new suit of armor, and emerged from the portal.
At this point, Jarvis had already reported the latest results to Tony.
Tony, his expression grave, handed his phone to Gel: "These guys clearly came prepared. There are thirteen similar trucks, each heading in a different direction. Here are the real-time latitude and longitude coordinates of all thirteen trucks."
Upon hearing Tony's words, Gel's expression grew even more serious. Looking at the thirteen moving dots on his phone, Gel scoffed, "In that case, we'll search them one by one."
The atmosphere in the room grew increasingly heavy. Banner, Betty, and the others all looked at Gel with worried eyes, but neither of them spoke.
"Buzz".
The sound of a cell phone vibrating came from the silent room. Ger picked up the phone and saw that it was Natasha's number, so he immediately answered the call.
“I’ve confirmed that General Ross didn’t take this Hulk blood; at the very least, he was unaware of it,” Natasha’s voice came through the phone. “My only breakthrough now is with the few surviving soldiers who were in Dr. Stern’s lab. Have Wanda use mind magic to get information about the mastermind from them.”
Gel nodded and also informed Natasha of the progress: "Tony and I have found thirteen suspicious trucks and are preparing to investigate them one by one."
"Then the task of tracing the Hulk's bloodline is entrusted to you." Natasha hung up the phone with a heavy heart and reported the news to Director Nick.
Gel put his hands away again, raised his right hand and pointed forward, opening a spatial portal. He then turned to Pietro and the others and said, "Peter, Harry, Pietro, you must protect Banner and the other two. If anything happens, call me immediately."
Peter and his two companions nodded solemnly: "You may go now. We will protect this place."
After passing through the portal, Tony and Tony floated in the sky.
Looking down from the sky, the extensive network of roads and the endless stream of vehicles under the night sky create a dazzling sight.
Gel checked his phone, then looked down to search for the target vehicle. After a moment, he finally spotted the large truck, which was over ten meters long and more than four meters high, on a road heading east.
Gel slowly closed his eyes, his consciousness extending towards the speeding truck and entering its interior. But after a moment, Gel opened his eyes and shook his head at Tony: "Not this one."
Then, Ger opened another portal and went inside.
One, two, three...
They searched eight vehicles, but none of them actually contained Hulk blood. But Ger was increasingly convinced that a mysterious organization was involved, because the eight trucks they'd just seen were all loaded with rocks!
“This is the ninth one.” Tony said to Gel with a serious expression as he stepped out of the portal again.
If the Hulk's blood is really on these thirteen trucks, that's fine. But if the Hulk's blood was broken up into smaller pieces and transported away in small trucks or even cars, then he and Gale really won't be able to continue their investigation.
After all, the surveillance cameras on the streets surrounding Dr. Stern's lab were all destroyed during the battle. It was relatively easy to find the large trucks, but tracking down the smaller trucks or cars was like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Ger didn't reply, but took a deep breath and sensed the contents of the truck. After a moment, Ger raised his eyebrows in surprise: "It's in this one."
Tony clenched his fist: "Let's go down and transfer the Hulk's blood first, then grab the driver and interrogate him to find out who's behind it all."
In New York, right under his nose, there was such a mysterious organization. Tony was so interested that he wanted to personally visit the organization's base.
With that, Tony immediately changed direction and was about to fly towards the large truck below.
