Tony's expression suddenly relaxed, and he smiled: "This is going to be interesting."
Regardless of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s motives for doing this, he felt there was more to it than met the eye.
Gel instinctively felt something was wrong. If Director Nick wanted this blood, he could have just taken it openly; there was no need to resort to so many tricks.
Unless it's someone else from S.H.I.E.L.D. with ulterior motives, trying to secretly transfer the Hulk's blood.
Suddenly, a thought flashed through Ger's mind, and a memory about S.H.I.E.L.D. surfaced: he seemed to remember that S.H.I.E.L.D. was also known as "Snake Shield." The reason for this name was that S.H.I.E.L.D. had been completely infiltrated by Hydra, and even the former director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Alexander Pierce, was a Hydra agent.
But soon, Gerl frowned: when he watched the movie in his previous life, he didn't pay any attention to the soldiers, so apart from former director Alexander Pierce, Gerl had no idea who the Hydra agents were.
“We’ll keep this from Natasha for now,” Gel said to Tony after a moment’s thought. “I’m going to investigate this secretly myself.”
Tony shrugged, indicating he had no objection, but added, "Don't let those old foxes like Nick and Natasha fool you."
He hadn't forgotten how Natasha and Nick had treated him.
Gel opened a portal and returned to the room where Peter and the others were. Just then, Natasha and Wanda also returned. Suddenly, the dark room, littered with shards of glass, was filled with people standing there, their brows furrowed.
"Have you caught up with the Hulk's blood yet?" Natasha asked immediately upon seeing Gel. Nothing was more urgent at that moment.
Gel looked at Natasha and smiled: "Don't worry, the mission has been successfully completed, and all the blood has been destroyed."
Dr. Banner immediately stepped forward, his eyes filled with worry: "How did you destroy it? If that blood is not handled properly, it could very likely cause other unpredictable consequences."
Ger opened his palm slightly, and a flame ignited in his palm. Even though the flame was small, it still made the people nearby feel an amazing heat.
Banner even took a few steps back because his face felt burning hot.
Seeing their reactions, Ger smiled and explained, "This is the primordial flame of magic. Under its burning, not even a speck of ash will remain in your blood."
Dr. Banner was relieved. He thanked Gle and then returned to his original spot to comfort the terrified Betty.
Natasha was relieved to hear this news: "On my side, I just had Wanda use mind magic to control those soldiers, hoping to use them to track down the mastermind. But none of the surviving soldiers were involved in the theft of the Hulk's blood. Have you found anything on your end?"
Gel told Natasha everything that had just happened, omitting, of course, Jarvis's analysis that the remote controller was from S.H.I.E.L.D.
Gel believed Natasha, but the matter was too significant, and he didn't want to reveal it rashly. Firstly, Natasha would definitely report it to Director Nick, and he wouldn't be able to explain how he knew the news; secondly, Gel was also worried about alerting Natasha and causing other complications.
The world was deviating further and further from the Marvel Cinematic Universe he knew, and he couldn't let things go any further astray.
“It’s getting late, Peter, Harry. Uncle Ben and Uncle Norman must have seen the news and are worried about you. You should go home soon.” Gel said, looking at Peter and Harry.
Tonight's events have blown up too much. I'm sure Uncle Ben, Aunt May, and Uncle Norman will find out about it through the news. Rather than worrying them, it's better to let Peter and Harry go home as soon as possible.
“What about Banner and Betty? And this officer?” Harry asked, looking at Bronsky, Banner, and Betty who were still asleep beside him.
Banner and Betty also looked up at Gel with apprehension, their fearful eyes seeming to await Gel's pronouncement of their fate.
Gel glanced at Banner and Betty, then turned to Natasha: "Natasha, from tonight's events, you can see just how uncontrollable the Hulk, She-Hulk, and Abomination are. And what just happened also revealed a secret organization that can quickly obtain information about the American military. Therefore, I cannot hand Banner and the others over to S.H.I.E.L.D. or any other organization. You can report to Director Nick that I've exiled Banner and Betty to some remote country, and they will never appear again. As for Bronsky, when I used mind magic to restore him to human form, I discovered his mind was completely out of control. I will freeze him in the Arctic. If one day my abilities reach the point where I can heal him, I will heal him and return him to General Ross. Of course, this is also true. So even if Director Nick contacts me again later, I will never reveal any other information about the whereabouts of the three of them."
After listening, Natasha suddenly looked into Gail's eyes with her clear, bright eyes and smiled gently: "Gail, I am not entirely under the command of Director Nick Fury or the soldiers of S.H.I.E.L.D., and S.H.I.E.L.D. is also your organization at this moment, and will listen carefully to your opinions. So, don't be so wary of me or S.H.I.E.L.D.
Natasha's words stunned Ger.
After a moment, Gel shook his head helplessly—as expected of the infamous Black Widow, her perception and control over people's hearts were terrifying.
