Chapter 38: I give you Anping, what is this?

Chapter 38: I give you Anping, what is this?

This statement sounded unfounded, but the comments and the male fan who was connected to the microphone all believed it.

No one knew how Gui Si got this information, but what she said was always the truth.

"I'm really convinced." I started sending messages to the landlord half-believingly.

This time, Yang Guisi wasn't as confident as she appeared. While waiting for her fan's landlord's reply, she quietly closed the chat window she had just seen.

The page still stayed on the message sent by Chang Xile.

(^v^): [Someone was hanged in the room, on the chandelier.]

Wang Gui: [How did you know?]

Chang Xile was watching the livestream with a vengeance. Fang Xinai, lying on the bed behind him, kept muttering to himself, "Is this real? This is actually a haunted house! This is too scary."

As a result, Yang Guisi still had time to reply to her message.

(^v^): [Do you trust me so much?]

Wang Gui: [Believe it]

Chang Xile was that person's relative, and Yang Guisi was willing to believe what she said.

Chang Xile hesitated for a while and felt that Yang Guisi was trustworthy.

(^v^): [I heard from his black cat that it had just been barking at the direction behind its owner, saying there was a person hanging from the chandelier.]

Before he could even ask Chang Xile why he could understand cats, the male fan, after questioning the landlord, frowned and said to the camera, "The landlord said, absolutely not."

The barrage is still giving him advice:

"If you ask me like that, I'm sure they won't admit it!"

"You can't ask uncertainly, you have to question. A liar won't tell the truth unless he's desperate."

Occasionally, passersby would wonder, "Why do people trust the anchor so much? If she's telling a lie, wouldn't that be an unwarranted disaster for the landlord?"

Yang Guisi, however, noticed something in this information. She tilted her head, her gaze fixed on a spot behind the man, and asked, "Does your cat usually like to meow? How long has it been doing this?"

"My cat used to be very well-behaved," the male fan said, cuddling the black cat and petting it to soothe it. The camera showed the cat staring intently at its owner's back, looking wary. "But since we moved, it hasn't gotten used to the environment here and keeps meowing."

Yang Guisi continued, "Move the camera to your window."

The male fan was confused, but immediately did as he was told.

"Draw the curtains," she instructed.

Swish.

As the curtains were neatly drawn open, a string of intricately patterned bells hanging on the wall came to light, jingling as they were driven by the curtains.

"Did you hang up?" Yang Guisi asked.

"No... no," the male fan denied. He looked at the bells and felt a strange unease. "What is this?"

"Would it be convenient for you to take me to look around the four corners of your room?" Yang Guisi did not answer him directly. She needed more information.

The male fan immediately walked around the room with his phone. After he had taken a few steps, Yang Guisi pointed out something that had been overlooked in the room - a string of bells was hanging in every corner.

"These are all left by your landlord?" Yang Guisi laughed. "Aren't you curious why he hung these?"

"I thought they were decorations," the male fan boldly asked, "Should I take these bells off?"

"Judging from the runes, this is called an evil-repelling bell. Whether it has any effect in itself is another matter. But the fact that your landlord placed them in the room already shows that he has something to hide. These are just decorations that you can see at first glance. You can look in the corners of the room later to see if there is anything left by the landlord. However, I suggest that you find a chance to move out." After getting the answer, Yang Guisi seemed to relax. She half leaned back in the chair, drank a sip of tea slowly, and her lips became rosy.

The male fan took a picture of all the bells, sat back in his chair, and started questioning the landlord.

The comments were all over the place, with some people feeling horrified, and others wondering:

"666, how do the anchors know all this?"

"I haven't said it yet. What does this have to do with his neck hurting whenever he sits on a chair?"

Yang Guisi put her hands on her head and regularly tapped her temples with her index finger. If it were her in the past, she might be able to answer this question, but now, she didn't know.

Perhaps, it depends on what the black cat saw?

As soon as the words fell, the black cat started meowing again behind its owner. It grabbed the owner's shirt and tried to climb onto his shoulders, scratching and biting the back of his collar.

Yang Guisi subconsciously looked at his cell phone, and sure enough, a "ding" sound came the next second.

(^v^): [The hanged man's toes...kicked the back of his neck continuously during his long years of wandering.]

Chang Xile felt a chill run down his spine as he typed this. No wonder his black cat had been so restless for so long. Who else could sleep peacefully after seeing such a scene?

After listening to Gui Si's story, the male fan couldn't sit still any longer and moved to sit on the sofa on the other side. Soon, he excitedly said to Gui Si, "The landlord admitted that this is a haunted house!"

The commentator also added a few words: "The landlord concealed the fact that the house was a haunted house when signing the contract. I remember that it was possible to negotiate a termination of the lease? You should go find a lawyer to find out."

"This is too unlucky. I can't think about it too much..."

"I won! I just said it was a supernatural event, hahahaha! I bet dozens of times, and finally I got it right this time!"

"The person above is too stubborn, hahahahahaha. Luckily, every time I win the competition, there's no prize."

This matter is resolved.

However, Yang Guisi did not seem very happy. She silently looked at the lively comments and generous rewards from some fans, and decided to finish what she was going to say.

"This channel may be suspended for a while, so you don't have to wait for me."

She ignored the barrage of questions and simply ended the live broadcast.

Chang Xile watched the black screen display the message "The streamer you're following has ended. Next video will be switched in 5 seconds." Fang Xinai, who had just exclaimed "scary," asked incredulously, "What's going on? Is she quitting the internet?"

She picked up her phone and asked the same question.

(^v^): [What's going on?]

Yang Guisi seemed to know that she was going to ask and replied quickly.

Wang Gui: [Give me some time.]

Wang Gui: [I’ll tell you later.]

Chang Xile nodded, accepting that everyone had secrets they couldn't share. She took a deep breath, and the thought that she had indirectly helped someone haunted by a ghost filled her heart with an inexplicable feeling.

It turns out that this strange ability can also help others?

Ding ding, the phone rang again.

Didn't Yang Guisi just reply to the message? Chang Xile picked up the phone with some confusion, but the sender was not who she thought.

In the past few hours, Chang Xile made several calls to Anping, but all the calls showed as missed. Finally, he sent a message asking the other party to reply when he was free.

Just now, Anping replied.

He said: [I am in the studio]

He didn't explain how he got separated, nor did he tell her why he hadn't answered the phone.

Chang Xile took a deep breath, stood up, packed his things and prepared to go out.

"Are you going out again?" Fang Xinai heard the noise and sat up again. She pulled aside a corner of the bed curtain and asked pitifully, "Why are you leaving again after just coming back?"

"I have something to do." Chang Xile smiled at her soothingly, "Be good, Xiao Ai, I'll bring you something delicious when I come back."

"Okay..." Fang Xinai nodded in agreement. She muttered, "I've been feeling weird living alone in the dorm these past two days with you guys gone. You better come back soon!"

"I think it would be more effective if we watched less supernatural live broadcasts!" Chang Xile smiled and closed the dormitory door.

It's the National Day holiday, and some college students are going home, some are traveling with friends, and some are staying in the dormitory... In short, there are very few people on the streets, let alone in the teaching buildings.

Chang Xile walked to the familiar red brick building. The whole building was so quiet that it was almost lifeless, making it hard to believe that there was still someone inside.

She walked up the stairs to the top floor, walked through the corridor to the last studio, and knocked on the door.

"Come in." A familiar voice sounded.

Chang Xile pressed the door handle and walked into the room, and what came into his sight was Anping's back.

Directly opposite him was a European-style arched window with two wooden doors open. Through the window, he could see the setting sun slowly sinking into the distant mountains. The clouds in the sky were dyed with heroic colors, as if they were bleeding.

Anping didn't look back. He dipped his brush in paint and slid a mark across his canvas. It was clearly a casual stroke, but he added a flying bird among the clouds, making the whole painting inexplicably full of the breath of life.

Chang Xile slowly walked over to him. The wooden planks beneath her feet were quite old, and they creaked as gravity shifted. Her gaze shifted from the painting to the top of Anping's head.

Huh?

She was silently puzzled and gently placed her hand on Anping's temples.

Meanwhile, Anping finally finished his painting. He turned around with a beaming smile and said, "I'm done!"

Chang Xile raised her eyebrows and looked at the painting that he had just covered up. She remembered the familiar structure. This was the sunset painting he had been painting when she last visited Anping in the studio.

"...So beautiful." Chang Xile almost lost her voice. Before coming here, she actually had a lot of questions for Anping, but now she could only offer words of praise.

Although the painting was only a work in progress when first seen, the artist's skill was evident. However, Chang Xile had not expected that after the painting was completed in Anping, the natural and magnificent beauty that gushed out from the brushstrokes would be so moving.

She was unable to express herself with much praise due to her lack of words, and she just stared at the painting without blinking, trying to observe every detail in it.

Anping's eyes sparkled. He looked at Chang Xile's infatuated expression without blinking, and said with a smile, "This is for you."

"What?" Chang Xile blinked, still not reacting.

Soon she remembered Anping's promise to give her the painting once it was finished. At the time, she'd thought it was just a casual promise, not even sure if the painting would be finished. But Anping had never forgotten it.

She returned her gaze to Anping, who was looking up at Chang Xile. The sunset light shone through the window onto his face, his lake-blue eyes gleaming with a beautiful sheen. She could almost see the tiny hairs on his face. His desire for reward was so obvious, like a kitten wagging its tail for praise.

Chang Xile touched his hair as if it was a reward.

However, her next sentence made Anping unable to laugh.

"Anping, what is this?" Her lingering fingertips touched the butterfly hairpin on his temples, and a smile escaped from the corner of her lips, "Hmm?"
