Chapter 208 Assassination

Jingmin walked out the door, glanced down at his watch,

It's getting late.

He stood there, turned around and looked into the room, his brows furrowed slightly, and his eyes revealed obvious annoyance.

Clearly, they didn't want to get entangled with the people inside any further.

But we've finally managed to find a clue... It would be such a waste to give up now.

He pursed his lips and took a deep breath.

His expression turned cold.

He turned slightly to the side and glanced at Yan Zhou beside him.

"Go see a psychologist."

Yan Zhou nodded, accepted the order, and left.

Jing Min stood there, lowering his eyes and pondering for a moment.

Their gaze returned to the interior of the house.

It cannot be ruled out that Yunyang might be faking her madness.

He lifted his foot, about to turn back and ask for clarification.

Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of a tall shadow passing by.

He frowned, turned around abruptly, and his gaze was sharp as a knife.

Li Yan, who was standing not far away, tensed up instantly and stood up straight.

What are you standing there for?

Jing Min's voice was cold, with a hint of impatience and accusation in his tone.

Li Yan was taken aback, opened his mouth, but couldn't utter a single word.

He lowered his head, a bitter feeling rising in his heart: Was President Jing still holding a grudge against him for the timed-out bomb-finding incident? Was he deliberately picking a fight with him...?

He felt a pang of regret, but dared not offer any explanation, and could only stand there with his head bowed, forcing himself to remain silent.

Jingmin took a step forward, getting two steps closer to Li Yan.

His gaze swept over the people beside him; if he remembered correctly, these were all the people they had brought.

Anger gradually crept onto his stern face, and his voice deepened.

"They're all here, isn't anyone guarding them?"

After saying that, he strode towards the parking lot, his aura so overwhelming that it was hard to breathe.

Li Yan panicked immediately, and a layer of fine sweat instantly appeared on his forehead.

He realized what was happening and immediately took a few steps to catch up.

Then it suddenly stopped.

He turned and whispered instructions to the people beside him:

"You guys stay here and don't leave my side!"

The group responded and quickly dispersed to stand in their positions.

Li Yan ran quickly to catch up with Jing Min, feeling a surge of annoyance and nervousness—how could he be so careless?

The wife is still asleep in the car!

Although those scumbags have already been dealt with,

But before this, they had no idea how many people were in that group, or if there were any others in the shadows.

What if there are still people lurking in the shadows? Wouldn't the lady in the car be in danger?

Thinking of this,

His heart sank, and cold sweat trickled down his temples.

Jing Min walked steadily yet quickly towards the car parked not far away, a hint of unease showing in his eyes.

Inside the car, Chu Wuyang was still fast asleep.

He glanced at her through the car window, and his tense nerves relaxed slightly.

Slightly raise your hand,

He was about to open the car door to check on her when—

A small, thin figure suddenly darted out from behind the car!

Jing Min's pupils suddenly contracted.

Almost instinctively, he dodged to the side.

A flash of cold light appeared, and a short knife stabbed directly at him.

"President Jing!"

Li Yan's voice came from behind, carrying an undisguised sense of terror.

He rushed over as fast as he could, his heart pounding in his chest.

Jing Min remained calm, nimbly shifting to the side as the blade grazed his arm.

He instantly turned and attacked, his eyes sharp and cold as blades.

He grabbed the attacker's wrist, quickly counter-engaged him, and twisted it forcefully—

"ah!"

The other party let out a cry of pain.

Jing Min slammed her small body to the ground with a thud.

Jing Min stared down at her, his gaze dark and gloomy.

The person was completely covered in black clothes and wore a mask, so their face could not be seen.

But judging from the narrow frame and slender wrists, this person is a woman.

"Who are you? Are you one of them?"

Jingmin's tone was icy.

The other party did not answer.

Suddenly, he sprang to his feet, with a frantic determination, gripped his short knife, and stabbed at Jing Min.

His eyes revealed a madness that disregarded all costs, as if he intended to perish together with his opponent.

Jing Min frowned, a flash of anger crossing his eyes.

With a sharp flick of his wrist, he precisely snatched the knife away.

He instantly gripped the dagger in his hand, the sharp tip pointing at his opponent.

"court death!"

He roared, raising his arm high, the short knife aimed directly at his opponent's vitals.

It looked like it was about to stab him any second.

"Stop! Jingmin, stop right now!"

A hurried male voice rang out from not far away, carrying an undeniable sense of anxiety and panic.

Jing Min's hand paused slightly, and the tip of the knife hovered in the air for a moment.

He turned his head to look in the direction of the sound.

"Zhou Chen?"

Zhou Chen scrambled over, panting, and grabbed Jing Min's arm with a pleading tone.

"Don't hurt her, let me explain!"

Jing Min gave him a cold glance, shoved the woman aside, and turned to look at Li Yan, who was still in shock.

Li Yan quickly stepped forward and pinned the woman's hands behind her back.

He roughly ripped off the woman's mask.

The woman cried out in pain.

Zhou Chen immediately stopped him out of concern.

"Gently, gently!"

Jing Min stopped Zhou Chen from approaching, raising an eyebrow.

What are you doing here?

Zhou Chen looked at the woman and pointed at her, saying...

"I came here with her,"

Jing Min looked over, and Rong Fu's face was clearly visible under the surrounding streetlights. He raised an eyebrow in a questioning tone.
