Chapter 67 Photos
Zhou Jingzhan couldn't help but burst into tears. However, because Xia Baiming was present, he tried his best to control his tears from falling.
Xia Baiming saw it, and he was really considerate, so he didn't bother Zhou Jingzhan anymore.
The plane landed at six o'clock, and Zhou Jingzhan saw the message from his mother, asking him to go home in the evening.
When he got home, Zhou Wenxuan was busy in the kitchen. He didn't know Zhou Jingzhan was coming back, so he hurriedly said, "You're back just in time. Go out and buy two cilantro. We don't have any at home."
Zhou Jingzhan was too lazy to move. "If you don't want to go, don't eat coriander." After that, he began to rummage through the drawers to find the medicine box.
Zhou Wenxuan came out of the kitchen wiping his hands. Seeing him holding stomach medicine, he asked with concern, "Does your stomach hurt?"
Zhou Jingzhan hummed.
"I told you to come back and live here. Can you eat well outside?" Zhou Wenxuan muttered, "I'll find you something to eat while you take your medicine."
Zhou Jingzhan went back to his room to change clothes. Before he could even put on his home clothes, Zhou Wenxuan pushed the door open without warning and said, "I'll..."
Seeing the marks on his son's body, Zhou Wenxuan's voice stopped abruptly.
Zhou Jingzhan was too embarrassed to face him, and was unusually panicked. He hurriedly put on his clothes, and when Zhou Wenxuan closed the door and left, he couldn't help but ask, "Why didn't you knock when you entered my room?"
Before Zhou Wenxuan could figure out who had murdered his son, Qin Huiping came back.
"My son is back."
Qin Huiping took off her coat and nodded in response, "I know, I called him back." Looking at the dissolved medicine Zhou Wenxuan was holding, she asked, "What is this?"
Zhou Wenxuan answered irrelevantly and said suspiciously, "Something's wrong. It's really wrong. I think he and Yunqi have reconciled."
"I called him back for this," he said, taking out some printed photos from his bag.
"What is this?" Zhou Wenxuan asked curiously.
Qin Huiping was quite calm, "Let's talk after Jing Zhan comes out."
Zhou Jingzhan dawdled, waiting until Zhou Wenxuan started urging him to eat before leaving. He sat face to face with Qin Huiping and asked, "Is it okay for you to come back with me?"
Qin Huiping handed the photo to him.
Zhou Jingzhan flipped through the pictures one by one, and Zhou Wenxuan couldn't wait to get close to him and take a look.
There are more than a dozen photos, all of which were secretly taken of him interacting with Chu Yunqi. The most obvious one is of the two kissing at the hotel entrance.
Zhou Jingzhan felt guilty and angry, thinking that the damn media would film everything and be so quick that they could expose it to his mother within an afternoon.
Qin Huiping spoke again: "I don't mean anything else, I just want to remind you to be more careful next time. You may not be able to control your spending next time."
Zhou Jingzhan nodded.
Zhou Wenxuan was not very calm. He took the opportunity to start persuading him: "Didn't Yunqi resign too? You should just..."
Zhou Jingzhan anticipated what he was about to say and stopped him in time: "I'm not going to the Health Commission."
Zhou Wenxuan took a breath and wanted to say something else, but Zhou Jingzhan stopped him again: "I won't go back to Suzhou either." After saying this, he became more and more angry and simply put down his chopsticks: "I won't eat anymore."
As soon as he left, Zhou Wenxuan complained to Qin Huiping, "Look at what's wrong with him after all this time? Why is he taking it out on us when he can't even live with Yunqi?"
Qin Huiping just smiled and said, "It's not entirely up to you. When you were transferred back to Beijing, wasn't it because of your girlfriend that you had a quarrel with your father?"
This made Zhou Wenxuan feel embarrassed. "How long ago did it happen and you still remember it? I had completely forgotten it."
In the final analysis, Zhou Wenxuan still doted on Zhou Jingzhan. After he finished his meal, he brought the food to his room and said as usual: "You complain about stomachache every day. If you don't feel pain after eating a few mouthfuls of food, who will?"
Zhou Jingzhan was arguing with Chu Yunqi and was full of anger, but he had no place to vent it. When he heard Zhou Wenxuan's voice, he simply covered his head with the quilt and said stubbornly, "I won't eat."
Zhou Wenxuan was worried because he had a stomachache and didn't want to eat. "If you don't eat, I'll stop your card. Do you want to eat or not?"
Zhou Jingzhan jumped out of bed, took out his wallet from his coat pocket, opened it, and threw out the bank cards one by one: "I don't want them all!"
Zhou Wenxuan sighed deeply and placed his bowl and chopsticks heavily on the table. "I want to see how long that salary will last you."
After saying that, he slammed the door and left.
Zhou Jingzhan was not to be outdone and threw the rice and vegetables into the trash can.
His whole body ached inside and out. Zhou Jingzhan went to bed very early that day and felt energetic after getting up. He dressed and went downstairs. His parents were having breakfast.
Zhou Jingzhan felt bad for his asshole behavior last night, and wanted to find a way out during breakfast time.
He walked to the dining table and before he could even say good morning to Mom and Dad, he realized there were only two plates on the table and no portion for him.
Zhou Jingzhan swallowed back the words that were about to come out of his mouth and reworded: "Goodbye, Mom and Dad. I'm going to work now."
No one answered.
Zhou Jingzhan appeared calm on the surface, but actually he started trying to transfer money to Chu Yunqi as soon as he left the house.
None of the cards work, it's really stopped.
Zhou Jingzhan almost fainted. He had no idea where his salary had gone. Even if he could hold on until next month's salary was paid, that little money would be enough for him to do anything. It was not even enough to go to Chu Yunqi.
He really wanted to turn around and go home to surrender, but he didn't know how long Zhou Wenxuan would laugh at him. Zhou Jingzhan held on, and then thought about how he didn't drive, so he turned around and rode Zhou Wenxuan's bicycle away.
When Zhou Jingzhan arrived at the hospital, a male voice came from Ji Hong's side: "Good morning, Director Zhou, why didn't you drive today?"
Zhou Jingzhan tilted his head to take a look. Ji Hong looked refreshed and not worried about life. It was really enviable. Zhou Jingzhan said expressionlessly: "Environmental protection."
The two of them parked their bikes together, and Ji Hong continued, "Director Zhou, you haven't had breakfast this early, right? Let's go to the cafeteria and have a bite together."
"Um."
While Ji Hong was getting his lunch, Zhou Jingzhan ran into Zhang Fang, who had just finished his night shift. Seeing Zhou Jingzhan, Zhang Fang was surprised. He sat down across from him and teased him in a low voice, "Oh, what a rare guest! Is the young master here to understand the people's sentiments?"
Arriving just in time, Zhou Jingzhan lowered his head and drank a mouthful of porridge, then asked nonchalantly, "Do you have any cash on hand?"
"How much is it? Why do you need cash? If you're in a hurry, I can get it for you after dinner."
"Giving as a gift to a friend's wedding."
"Who is it? A bag of cash?"
Zhou Jingzhan was afraid of revealing himself if he said too much, "You don't know him."
The gift wouldn't cost much, so it would save him a lot of trouble. Zhang Fang didn't think much about it. "I have 20,000 yuan in my car. I'll bring it up to you later."
At least we won’t have to worry about not having enough to eat, Zhou Jingzhan nodded.
While Ji Hong was still here, Zhang Fang gossiped quietly, "I heard you went to Hong Kong to look for Chu Yunqi? What's going on with you guys?"
This circle is so small, Zhang Fang was not surprised at all that he knew Zhou Jingzhan, but he didn't want to say it either. He raised his eyes and looked at him coldly: "Want to know?"
Zhang Fang was well aware of the status of Zhou Jingzhan's family. Although they quarreled with each other from time to time, he could not bear it if the young master was really angry.
Zhang Fang laughed and said he didn't want to, but in fact he was sweating coldly.
Zhou Jingzhan remained calm.
Zhang Fang stole a glance at him and sighed in his heart once again, temperament is something that is truly innate. Zhou Jingzhan's aloofness, indifference and arrogance are something he cannot change, and others cannot learn from him.
In fact, Ji Hong had been back for a while, but he felt from a distance that the atmosphere at the table and Zhang Fang's expression were wrong. Thinking of Zhou Jingzhan's parents, he automatically moved away and avoided getting in Zhou Jingzhan's way.
