Chapter 6 Cleaning

When Qin Nan went shopping, she remembered that she hadn't seen any of Totoro's daily necessities at home, so she bought some of them as well. At first, Totoro was a little reluctant, but after taking a bath, it completely fell in love with the bath sand.

There was also alfalfa hay as rations and some snacks. The chinchilla never expected there to be so many delicious things in the world. Sunflower seeds and peanuts were thrown aside. At present, Qin Nan's favorability towards the chinchilla is off the charts.

Moreover, Qin Nan bought a small glass villa for the Totoro, complete with various pipes and toys, as well as a swing and wheels. It was definitely worth coming here; he was even happier than at home, and he was so happy he didn't want to leave!

Qin Nan also found a place in the kitchen to put away the microwave oven, oven, electric griddle, pressure cooker and other appliances that the store delivered.

It's late summer now, and autumn is just around the corner. It's a good time to make some seasonal snacks occasionally. My family members are quite particular about food. My parents and grandfather make different snacks for each season.

Qin Nan enjoyed watching them do it. Originally, she might have been the only one at home, and perhaps she wouldn't have thought about these things, but now that there was someone else there, life was a little different.

The osmanthus tree in the corner of the vegetable garden is still thriving. Qin Nan glanced at it during the day and estimated that it would bloom in about half a month, at which time they could make some osmanthus snacks.

He remembered that there was still some wine his grandfather had brewed in the warehouse cellar. He thought he could take a look and try a pot or two when he had time. If possible, he could brew some more himself.

After tidying up the entire living area, it was already late. Fortunately, the lights in the house were still working. Qin Nan did a quick cleaning and then made steamed pork with rice flour, sweet and sour pork ribs, stir-fried pork with garlic sprouts, stir-fried lettuce, hot and sour shredded potatoes, and seaweed and egg drop soup for dinner. She bought steamed buns for the main course.

Bai Hao stared at Qin Nan all afternoon without moving, until the food was ready. Then, he quietly sat down and started eating with the Totoro, whose mouth was watering.

Having witnessed the speed of a person and their pet working together, Qin Nan didn't hold back at dinner. After all, she had worked hard all afternoon and was extremely hungry. All the dishes were gone, and even the ten steamed buns she bought were not left.

After finishing his meal, Bai Hao went back to the sofa to relax. Qin Nan washed her hands first, made up the two beds, and then cleaned up the dishes and kitchen. There was nothing else to do, so she thought she would go back to her room to talk to her grandfather for a while and get some rest, as she would be busy tomorrow.

However, Qin Nan turned to look at Bai Hao, who was sitting on the sofa intently watching his tablet, and after thinking for a moment, decided to say something.

Qin Nan: "Boss, the bedding is made. Is there anything else? If not, I'll go back to my room to rest."

Bai Hao: "It's nothing."

Qin Nan looked at Bai Hao, who didn't even look up, shrugged speechlessly, took off her apron, went upstairs to her room, chatted with her grandfather about what had happened that day, and then lay down and fell asleep.

Bai Hao looked at the parchment scroll in his hand with a solemn expression. The elders in his clan had replied, saying that there was absolutely no one or nothing that his clan did not know, unless it was outside the Heavenly Dao.

But Qin Nan looked like a normal human being no matter how he looked at him. He observed him for a long time but didn't find anything wrong with him. He just couldn't figure it out. But it didn't matter. There was plenty of time.

Bai Hao also took the Totoro back to his room to sleep, as sleep helps restore mental energy.

In the quiet night, with the moonlight faint and the stars sparse, Qin Nan, who was still fast asleep, suddenly woke up and sat up.

He felt something was off during the day, but couldn't quite put his finger on it. Now, he suddenly remembered.

Totoro!

That Totoro actually ate the food it cooked?

How can a Totoro eat human food? Won't it die suddenly?!

Moreover, the salesperson selling bath sand today said that chinchillas can't eat oily foods, so peanuts are probably not good either!

But, but Bai Hao doesn't seem to be bothered?

Qin Nan sat there blankly for a while, her face dazed, before falling asleep.
