Qin Nan: "That woman committed suicide?"
Bai Hao: "I know what you're thinking. Wu Yulin did do some things, but she didn't die because of him. Wu Yulin just found out about her accounting problems, which made her busy dealing with troublesome matters and no longer had time to entangle He Yan. But that woman has many enemies. Seeing that she was in trouble, they naturally took the opportunity to expand the impact. The loopholes were too big for her to fill, so she was forced to commit suicide."
Qin Nan: "Does He Yan know?"
Bai Hao shook his head: "He saw the files on Wu Yulin's computer. Wu Yulin herself didn't know it. He also thought it was because of him, so the two of them had a big fight. He Yan also vaguely understood Wu Yulin's feelings for him. He moved out and asked someone to take care of Wu Yulin."
He knew Tao Duo was going to the art exhibition with Tao Xiaolu, which is why he was there; it was just an unexpected coincidence that he ran into me.
Qin Nan: "He wanted to settle things with Wu Yufei before leaving?"
Bai Hao: "Before he met me, he definitely didn't think this way. He probably would have avoided me, but he would still have taken care of me. But since he met me, he naturally felt that things would be much easier. Once Wu Yulin is cured, he won't have to worry about his food and clothing and can leave peacefully."
Qin Nan: "Before they came out, what did they...?"
Bai Hao: "He asked me for a commission, and now that he's finally found someone who values him, he's trying to run away?"
Qin Nan: "...What did you do?"
Bai Hao looked up at the afterglow of the evening sky, pulled Qin Nan into his arms, and kissed her deeply.
He Yan leaned against the headboard, looking down at the sleeping Wu Yulin. Tears still lingered on his face, and his usually pale face was now flushed. His smooth body was covered with traces of lovemaking.
He Yan had already taken off his mask. When he and Wu Yulin were intimate, his body changed. He had grown a tongue instead of a mouth. Without a doubt, Bai Hao must have done something to Wu Yulin.
Moreover, from the very beginning of his contact with Wu Yulin, He Yan found himself unable to control his instincts. His demands on Wu Yulin were driven by an extremely strong desire. Wu Yulin's crying and pleas for mercy only made him want to get and release more from her.
He Yan checked the time; more than two hours had passed. He got up and picked up Wu Yulin without any effort, but when he looked at Wu Yulin's clearly visible collarbone, he realized that Wu Yulin had become so thin, something he had never noticed before.
He Yan tidied up Wu Yulin, put him back on the bed and covered him with a blanket. Then he went to wash up and change his clothes. When he came out, Bai Hao was leading Qin Nan in, just in time.
He Yan looked at Bai Hao and threw a punch. Bai Hao gently pushed Qin Nan away and joined He Yan in a fight, which went from the house to the yard. They were more careful in their fight than Chi Wei and the others, and they used their divine power on each other. The yard was completely unharmed.
Qin Nan could only watch silently from the sidelines. It had to be said that they really went all out, but even though the fight was fierce, there wasn't a single bruise or swelling on their faces. Wait, Qin Nan suddenly noticed that He Yan wasn't wearing a mask and had a normal person's mouth.
After fighting for a while, the two sat on the ground back to back.
He Yan: "What did you do to him?"
Bai Hao: "Didn't you do something to him?"
He Yan: "Now you can tell me if what I know is the truth?"
Bai Hao: "Aren't you leaving? Does it really matter?"
He Yan didn't answer, so Bai Hao continued, "Tell me, after you left, did he choose to live or commit suicide?"
He Yan remained silent; he didn't know.
It's six o'clock now, and it's already dark. It's around the winter solstice, and the days are very short. Qin Nan turned on the light in the yard next to the door.
Bai Hao stood up and dusted himself off: "I have an idea, do you want to give it a try?"
He Yan turned to look at Bai Hao, his eyes full of disbelief. Bai Hao seemed calm and collected, but in reality, he was a wolf in sheep's clothing, full of malice.
But Bai Hao had no intention of listening to He Yan's answer at all. He raised his hand and snapped his fingers, and instantly the scene changed. Night turned into morning, and the courtyard was full of lush flowers. Judging from the scene, it seemed to be summer.
The sound of a wheelchair came from inside the room. Wu Yulin, wearing a short-sleeved shirt and trousers, with a black bag on his lap and a warm smile on his face, seemed not to see Qin Nan and the other two. He skillfully operated the wheelchair and closed the door.
He went to the yard and looked at the flowers and plants that filled half of it. Then an electric tricycle came out, an uncle got off, greeted Wu Yulin gently, and then came in and took Wu Yulin to the vehicle.
He Yan stood up, and Bai Hao snapped his fingers again. The three of them had arrived at the place where Wu Yulin had gotten out of the car. It looked like a market, but it mainly sold painting supplies and custom-made picture frames. The three followed behind, watching Wu Yulin maneuver her wheelchair, looking at each stall, seemingly selecting paints.
Wu Yulin seemed very happy throughout the journey. He seemed to remember nothing, including He Yan, as if this was the only way he could live. Even though he couldn't stand up, he remained optimistic, generously negotiating with people and skillfully choosing and bargaining. This was how he lived.
He Yan pursed his lips, staring intently. This was the Wu Yulin he used to know—confident, cheerful, optimistic, and talkative. He hadn't seen Wu Yulin like this in a long time.
Having bought quite a few things, Wu Yulin placed the bags on his lap, tied them to the handles of his wheelchair, then looked at picture frames and bought two boxes of paintbrushes. There were quite a lot of things, some hanging on the wheelchair and some on his lap. He used a rope he had prepared beforehand to tie the things to his waist, and then slowly pushed the wheelchair away.
