She lifted the bright red quilt, revealing a bed covered with red dates, longans, and peanuts.
Qin Qi's eyes immediately lit up, and she sat on the bed and started eating.
When Lu Huai returned, Qin Xi had already eaten half of what was on the bed, leaving Lu Huai dumbfounded. "This...this...this...didn't you eat today?"
Qin Xi paused for a moment, then naturally put the freshly peeled peanuts into her mouth, took out a silk handkerchief and elegantly wiped her mouth: "I'm sorry, I was impolite."
Lu Huai leaned closer to her in surprise: "You seem to... have quite a big appetite."

"I can ignore you, but you must make three rules with me."
"What three rules?" Lu Huai put his feet down, moved the stool to the bedside, and asked.
Qin Qi held up one finger: "First, you can't sleep in a separate room from me."
Sleeping in the same room? It's just sleeping in one bed and using two blankets, which isn't unreasonable.
Lu Huai nodded.
Qin Qi raised another finger and said, "Secondly, in public, we must give the impression that we are very much in love."
Lu Huai nodded again. It was just for show; it was a piece of cake.
"Third, one must not go to brothels again."
Hearing this, Lu Huai felt indignant: "Why? You promised not to bother me."
Qin Xi raised her eyes and asked him in return, "Are those courtesans as beautiful as me?"
Lu Huai paused for a moment.

"Cough cough cough... Is... is that so?" Upon hearing this, Lu Huai choked.
Seeing his reaction, Qin Xi changed the subject: "So, are any courtesans as good-looking as me?"
"No," Lu Huai said, holding his teacup and feigning composure.
“That’s settled then. Although we have no feelings for each other, my father is, after all, the Prime Minister. Surely Young Master Lu wouldn’t refuse me that much face?”
"Yes, I agree," Lu Huai said, his eyes lowered, avoiding her gaze.
"Then thank you very much, Young Master Lu. I will not interfere in your affairs. I hope you will keep your word," Qin Qi said playfully, blinking her eyes.
