"Don't just stand there!" Ariel's voice came from behind. "Take care of them now!"
It turned out that Ariel had secretly used bubbles to block the attack for Flamescale.
Flamescale was deeply moved. It never expected that Ariel, who had always been at odds with it, would help it at this time. Although it didn't need it, it had to set off a few more fires just for this gesture.
Flamescale suddenly swung its tail, its massive tail fin creating a towering wave that swept away most of the murloc army.
Immediately afterwards, it opened its mouth and spewed out a series of fireballs, drawing brilliant arcs in the water and accurately hitting the remaining fishmen.
The battle ended quickly. The merfolk were routed and fled into the deep sea. Only their leader remained, putting up a last-ditch resistance.
"You...you monster!" the merman leader gritted his teeth. "Don't think you can defeat us like this! Our merman race still has..."
The merman leader's voice was drowned out by the storm; all that could be seen was his ferocious expression, his hands raised high with his trident, and him chanting incantations.
The obscure and difficult-to-understand incantation seemed to come from an ancient abyss, and as he chanted it, the surrounding seawater began to ripple with eerie black waves.
The dark clouds in the sky seemed to be stirred by an invisible giant hand, rolling more and more wildly, with faint flashes of lightning within them.
In an instant, the low rumble of thunder in the sky suddenly became deafening, and the dark clouds churned even more violently, as if the entire sky was roaring.
Gu Xi keenly sensed danger and shouted towards the Flame Scale in the water, "Watch out! Something's strange!"
Before he finished speaking, a blinding white light suddenly shone in the sky.
Countless bolts of lightning, like silver snakes, darted through the clouds, weaving together a dense, impenetrable electric grid.
The thunder roared louder and louder, shaking the sea.
In the blink of an eye, it seemed that only the roar of thunder remained in the world.
Countless thick bolts of lightning descended from the sky, like the wrathful whips of heaven, lashing fiercely against the back of the sea.
The sea was churned and splashed with spray and steam.
Although Flame Scale was enormous, it appeared small and helpless in the face of the overwhelming thunderstorm.
Lightning bolts struck it like arrows, each powerful enough to cleave mountains in two.
Flamescale dodged desperately, but was still grazed by several bolts of lightning, letting out a painful roar.
"Whoosh! What the hell is this?!" Flamescale cried out in terror, its body convulsing from the electric shock, and its blue-purple flames flickering.
Gu Xi stood on the deck, his expression solemn.
Clearly, this thunderstorm was not a natural phenomenon, but rather summoned by the merfolk leader using his trident. She had to find a way to help Flamescale, or the consequences would be dire.
The thunderstorm continued, with lightning cascading down like a waterfall, illuminating the entire sea surface as if it were daytime.
Under this terrifying divine might, even the surrounding fish-people began to panic and scattered in all directions.
The clouds in the sky grew darker and darker, and lightning flashed among them. Suddenly, a blinding bolt of lightning ripped through the sky and struck the sea.
Boom!
Amidst the deafening thunder, lightning, like a giant sword, pierced the sea.
The seawater around the Future was instantly agitated by the electric current, forming ripples that spread outwards.
Just as the lightning was about to strike the ship, a semi-transparent light shield suddenly lit up, enveloping the entire Future.
The electric light collided with the energy barrier, sparking a dazzling burst of light. Although it failed to cause any damage to the ship's hull, it immediately reduced the defense system's energy to 20%.
Although the fish on the boat were startled by this sudden turn of events, they quickly breathed a sigh of relief.
However, the lightning did not dissipate.
As if it had gained its own consciousness, it immediately changed direction after touching the Future's protective shield and launched itself towards the deep-sea giant turtle.
On the sea, before the fish-men who were confronting the Flame Scales could react, they saw a blinding light shooting straight down.
"boom!"
The colossal deep-sea creature, the giant turtle, shuddered, instantly causing turbulent currents in the surrounding water. (This chapter has been completed. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
