Chapter Ninety-Five
His broad, strong hands gripped her heels tightly, like iron clamps, preventing her from pulling away.
“There’s water on the ground, and your feet will get dirty if you step on the tiles,” Xia Bei explained casually, his expression natural.
After wiping his feet, he carried her to the sofa. Then he got up and took out some new slippers from the closet for her.
He placed the shoes beside her feet: "You sit here, I'll go get the first-aid kit and be right back."
Jiang You watched Xia Bei's retreating figure, her fingers twitching nervously. No matter how many excuses she made, she now knew that Xia Bei's kindness towards her wasn't because of Xia Yan.
She got up and went into Xia Yan's room. She looked around and saw her phone next to the computer.
I grabbed the phone and rushed to the door.
Just as she reached the door, the man grabbed her wrist.
Xia Bei, carrying his medical kit, looked at her with calm, unwavering eyes: "Where are you going?"
Jiang You felt a tingling sensation in her wrist. She tried to remain calm, waved her phone in her other hand, and smiled, "I found my phone, so I won't trouble Brother Xia Bei to take me back."
"Let's apply some disinfectant first."
"I... I'll disinfect it myself when I get back."
“No,” Xia Bei said, pulling her by the wrist and leading her to the sofa. His tone was commanding. “It has to be as soon as possible.”
Without any room for negotiation, Jiang You was forced to sit on the sofa.
Xia Bei sat next to her, one leg pressed tightly against her thigh.
He said softly, "Take off your clothes? I'm using iodine, which might stain your clothes."
Jiang You tilted his head slightly, meeting the calm and composed gaze of the man.
She nervously moved away, then pointed with difficulty to a bottle in the first-aid kit and asked, "Can't we use disinfectant too?"
The man paused for a moment, not expecting that the prey that had fallen into the trap was still making futile struggles.
He noncommittally replaced the iodine solution with disinfectant, showing no remorse whatsoever, and slowly moistened the cotton swab.
"I... I'll do it myself," Jiang You said, wanting to finish as quickly as possible and get away from this place and this man.
She refused to believe that this man was so idle that he would stay in Sheng'an City forever.
Can you see your shoulder?
She asked calmly, but before she could answer, Xia Bei gently tugged at the neckline, revealing one shoulder, which was already loose.
The skin where the teeth marks were located was slightly bluish.
The man placed one hand on the sofa behind her and used the other hand to gently apply disinfectant with a cotton swab.
Now that things had come to this, Jiang You didn't say much. He just wanted to finish quickly and didn't want to get entangled with the other party.
His long, thick eyelashes drooped, and he was very close to me. His warm, moist breath fell on my shoulder, mingling with the cool disinfectant.
Jiang You flinched and couldn't help but ask, "Is it... is it ready?"
Xia Bei didn't speak. She waited for a while, then couldn't help but turn her head to look.
The man just looked up; he was very close, their noses almost touching.
Staring into her eyes, Xia Beiqing's pupils gradually deepened. He lowered his gaze slightly, stretched his swan-like neck forward, and lightly pecked her lips.
The girl's lips were so soft; she seemed surprised by how good they felt. She kissed him once, then immediately kissed him again. Her previously composed movements became urgent, as if she greedily wanted more.
Jiang You's pupils were filled with shock. When she came to her senses, she braced herself against the back of the sofa and moved back a little, distancing herself from the man.
With her body sandwiched between Xia Bei's arms, the space to dodge was very limited, but it still created some distance. She met his aggressive gaze, like a lion ready to pounce.
"You seem surprised?" Xia Bei looked at her and adjusted his posture slightly.
He was kneeling on the sofa with one leg on the ground and standing on the other.
One of the hands supporting her on either side slowly rose, the movement gentle and delicate, and picked up a few stray strands of hair that had fallen beside her cheek, tucking them behind her ear.
He was so handsome that a faint smile played on his lips as he lazily said, "I don't believe you didn't notice."
